And they scribe him the words of the men of Yabesh: ⁶ and the Spirit of Elohim prospers on Shaul when he hears those words and kindles his wrath mightily; ⁷ and he takes a yoke of oxen and dismembers them and by the hands of angels, sends them throughout all the borders of Yisra El saying, Whoever goes not after Shaul and after Shemu El, so be it worked to his oxen. And the fear of Yah Veh falls on the people and they go as one man: ⁸ and he musters them in Bezeq, of the sons of Yisra El, three hundred thousand; and of the men of Yah Hudah, thirty thousand. ⁹ And they say to the angels who come, Say thus to the men of Yabesh Gilad: Tomorrow, by the heat of the sun, you have salvation. - and the angels come and tell it to the men of Yabesh; and they cheer. ¹⁰ And the men of Yabesh say, Tomorrow we come to you; and you work to us all that seems good in your eyes. ¹¹ And so be it, on the morrow, Shaul sets the people in three heads; and they come midst the camp in the morning watch and smite the Ammoniy until the heat of the day: and so be it, they who survive scatter, so that no two of them survive together. ¹² And the people say to Shemu El, Who says, Shaul reigns over us? Give the men, and we deathify them. ¹³ And Shaul says, Deathify no man this day: for today Yah Veh works salvation in Yisra El. ¹⁴ Then Shemu El says to the people, Come and go to Gilgal and renew the sovereigndom there. ¹⁵ And all the people go to Gilgal; and have Shaul reign in Gilgal at the face of Yah Veh; and sacrifice sacrifices of shelamim at the face of Yah Veh; and Shaul and all the men of Yisra El cheer mightily.

²⁸ And they say, In seeing, we see Yah Veh is with you: and we say, Let there become, I beseech, an oath between us - between us and you and that we cut a covenant with you

³² Neither cut covenant with them nor with their elohim:

³ an Ammoniy or Moabiy enters not to the congregation of Yah Veh - even to their tenth generation enter not to the congregation of Yah Veh eternally:

⁷ And Yah Veh kindles his wrath against Yisra El; and he sells them into the hands of the Peleshethiy and into the hands of the sons of Ammon:

⁸ And the elders of Gilad say to Yiphtach, So now, we turn back to you; to go with us and fight the sons of Ammon: and be our head over all the settlers of Gilad. ⁹ And Yiphtach says to the elders of Gilad, If you turn me back to fight the sons of Ammon and Yah Veh gives them at my face, become I your head? ¹⁰ And the elders of Gilad say to Yiphtach, Yah Veh hearken between us, if we work not thus according to your word. ¹¹ And Yiphtach goes with the elders of Gilad; and the people set him their head and commander: and Yiphtach words all his words at the face of Yah Veh in Mispeh. ¹² And Yiphtach sends angels to the sovereign of the sons of Ammon, saying, What have you to do with me, that you are come to me to fight me in my land? ¹³ And the sovereign of the sons of Ammon says to the angels of Yiphtach, Because Yisra El took away my land, when they ascended from Misrayim, from Arnon to Yabboq and to Yarden: now restore them in shalom. ¹⁴
JUDGE YIPHTACH DEFENDS THE HONOR OF YISRA EL
And Yiphtach adds to send angels to the sovereign of the sons of Ammon: ¹⁵ and says to him, Thus says Yiphtach, Yisra El took neither the land of Moab nor the land of the sons of Ammon: ¹⁶ for in ascending from Misrayim Yisra El walked through the wilderness to the Reed sea and came to Qadesh. ¹⁷ And Yisra El sent angels to the sovereign of Edom, saying, Let me, I beseech you, pass through your land? And the sovereign of Edom hearkened not thereto: and also the sovereign of Moab; and he willed not: and Yisra El settled in Qadesh. ¹⁸ And he went through the wilderness and surrounded the land of Edom and the land of Moab and came by the rising of the sun of the land of Moab and encamped beyond Arnon; but came not within the border of Moab: for Arnon is the border of Moab. ¹⁹ And Yisra El sent angels to Sichon sovereign of the Emoriy the sovereign of Heshbon; and Yisra El said to him, Let us pass, we beseech you, through your land to my place? ²⁰ And Sichon trusted not Yisra El to pass through his border: but Sichon gathered all his people together and encamped in Yahsah and fought Yisra El: ²¹ and Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El gave Sichon and all his people into the hand of Yisra El; and they smote them: so Yisra El possesses all the land of the Emoriy - the settlers of that land. ²² And they possess all the borders of the Emoriy from Arnon to Yabboq and from the wilderness to Yarden. ²³ And now Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El dispossesses the Emoriy from the face of his people Yisra El - that you possess it? ²⁴ Possess you not what Kemosh your elohim gave you to possess? So whomever Yah Veh our Elohim dispossesses from our face, them we possess. ²⁵ And now are you any better than Balaq the son of Sippor sovereign of Moab? in striving, strives he against Yisra El? or in fighting, fights he against them ²⁶ - while Yisra El settles in Heshbon and her daughters and in Aroer and her daughters and in all the cities along by the hand of Arnon for three hundred years? Why rescue you not them within that time? ²⁷ I - I sin not against you; but you work me evil to fight me: Yah Veh the Judge judges this day between the sons of Yisra El and between the sons of Ammon. ²⁸ The sovereign of the sons of Ammon hearkens not to the words Yiphtach sends him: ²⁹ and the Spirit of Yah Veh comes on Yiphtach: and he passes over Gilad and Menash Sheh and passes over Mispeh of Gilad; and from Mispeh of Gilad he passes over the sons of Ammon. ³⁰
THE VOW OF JUDGE YIPHTACH
And Yiphtach vows a vow to Yah Veh and says, If in giving you give the sons of Ammon into my hands, ³¹ then so be it, whatever comes from the doors of my house to meet me when I return in shalom from the sons of Ammon becomes to Yah Veh; and I holocaust it for a holocaust. ³² So Yiphtach passes over to the sons of Ammon to fight them; and Yah Veh gives them into his hands: ³³ he smites them from Aroer until you come to Minnith - twenty cities and to Abel Keramin with a mighty great stroke. Thus he subdues the sons of Ammon at the face of the sons of Yisra El.

⁸ And they say, Which one of the scions of Yisra El ascended not to Mispeh to Yah Veh? And, behold, no man of Yabesh Gilad came to the camp to the congregation:

³⁴ and says to him, The cities my father took from your father, I restore; and set outways for yourself in Dammeseq, as my father set in Shomeron. Then he says, I send you away with this covenant. - and he cuts a covenant with him and sends him away.

⁴ Cuts he a covenant with you? You - take you him for a servant eternally?

¹⁶ Hearken not to Yechizqi Yah: for thus says the sovereign of Ashshur, Work a blessing with me and come out to me and every man eat of his vine and every man of his fig tree; and every man drink the waters of his own well;

¹³ and takes of the seed of the kingdom and cuts a covenant with him and takes an oath of him: he also takes the mighty of the land:

⁶ And he says, I - Elohim of your father; Elohim of Abraham; Elohim of Yischaq and Elohim of Yaaqov. And Mosheh hides his face; for he awes to look on Elohim.

¹⁴ Yes, you neither brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor gave us inheritance of fields and vineyards: bore you out the eyes of these men? We ascend not!

²¹ And the Peleshethiy possess him and bore out his eyes; and bring him down to Azzah and bind him with fetters of copper; and he grinds in the house of binding:

³¹ Hearken not to Yechizqi Yah: for thus says the sovereign of Ashshur, Work a blessing with me and come out to me; and eat - every man of you of his own vine and every man of his fig tree and drink - every man of you of the waters of his well:

¹⁰ The just knows the soul of his animal; and the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

⁷ and he blinds the eyes of Sidqi Yah and binds him with coppers to carry him to Babel.

⁴ And so be it, when the angel of Yah Veh words these words to all the sons of Yisra El, the people lift their voice and weep:

² And the people come to the house of Elohim and settle there until evening at the face of Elohim and lift their voices and weep a great weeping;

²⁶ and Shaul also goes to his house to Gibah; and with him, go valiant men whose hearts Elohim touches.

² and Shaul settles in the extremity of Gibah under a pomegranate tree in Migron: and the people with him are about six hundred men;

³⁴ And Shemu El goes to Ramah; and Shaul ascends to his house to Gibah of Shaul:

⁴ And David and the people with him lift their voice and weep, until they have no more force to weep:

¹⁵ cheer with the cheering and weep with the weeping;

³ Remember the bound as being co-bound; and the vilified as also being in the body as you.

And there is a man of Ben Yamin his name is Qish - the son of Abi El the son of Seror the son of Bechorath the son of Aphiach - a Ben Yaminiy, mighty of valour:

¹⁹ And he goes there and finds Eli Shua the son of Shaphat plowing with twelve yoke at his face and he is with the twelfth: and Eli Yah passes by him and casts his mighty mantle on him.

The burden of Gay Hizzayon/Valley of Vision: What ails you now - all of you that you ascend to the roofs?

¹⁹ And so be it, as soon as he approaches the camp, he sees the calf and the round dancing: and Mosheh kindles his wrath and he casts the slabs from his hands and breaks them beneath the mount:

²⁵ and at times, the Spirit of Yah Veh begins to agitate him in the camp of Dan between Sorah and Eshtaol.

⁶ and the Spirit of Yah Veh prospers over him; and he cleaves him as he cleaves a kid with naught in his hand: but he tells not his father or his mother what he worked.

¹⁰ And they come to Gibah, and behold, a line of prophets meet him; and the Spirit of Elohim prospers on him and he prophesies among them.

¹³ Then Shemu El takes the horn of oil, and anoints him midst his brothers: and the Spirit of Yah Veh prospers on David from that day onward. - and Shemu El rises and goes to Ramah.

⁵ And he looks all around them with wrath being grieved for the petrifaction of their hearts; he words to the human, Spread your hand! - and he spreads and his hand restores, whole as the other.

ADMONITIONS TO THE HOLY
Be wroth and sin not: neither have the sun go down upon your rage:

⁵ and they pull stakes: and the terror of Elohim on the cities surrounding them; and they pursue not after the sons of Yaaqov.

²⁹ and he comes into his house and takes a knife and lays hold on his concubine and dismembers her with her bones into twelve members; and sends her into all the borders of Yisra El.

THE SONS OF YISRA EL ATTACK THE SONS OF BEN YAMIN
And all the sons of Yisra El go out and the witness congregates as one man - from Dan even to Beer Sheba with the land of Gilad to Yah Veh in Mispeh:

⁵ And the sons of Yisra El say, Who among all the scions of Yisra El ascends not with the congregation to Yah Veh? ¹⁴ and they smite all the cities all around Gerar; for the fear of Yah Veh comes on them: and they plunder all the cities; for there is exceeding much spoil in them:

¹⁰ And the fear of Yah Veh falls on all the sovereigndoms of the lands all around Yah Hudah, so that they fight not against Yah Shaphat:

⁴ And Yah Hudah ascends; and Yah Veh gives the Kenaaniy and the Perizziy into their hand: and they smite them in Bezeq - ten thousand men. ⁵ And they find Adoni Bezeq in Bezeq: and they fight against him and they smite the Kenaaniy and the Perizziy:

² and the chiefs of all the people - of all the scions of Yisra El, set themselves in the congregation of the people of Elohim - four hundred thousand footmen who draw sword.

¹⁵ And Shemu El rises and ascends from Gilgal to Gibah of Ben Yamin. And Shaul musters the people found with him - about six hundred men:

⁴ And Shaul hears the people and musters them in Telaim - two hundred thousand on foot and ten thousand men of Yah Hudah:

²⁴ And so be it, in the morning watch, Yah Veh looks to the camp of the Misrayim through the pillar of fire and of the cloud and agitates the camp of the Misrayim;

⁷ And Adoni Bezeq says, Seventy sovereigns, - the great digits of their hands and their feet chopped off glean under my table: as I worked, thus Elohim shalams me. - and they bring him to Yeru Shalem and there he dies.

¹⁷ And David smites them from the evening breeze to the evening of the morrow: and not a man of them escapes except four hundred lads flee riding on camels. ¹⁸ And David rescues all that the Amaleqiy took: and David rescues his two women:

¹ To His Eminence; For the sons of Qorach; A song for Virgins. Elohim is our refuge and strength; a mighty help to find in tribulation;

² For in what judgment you judge, you are judged: and in what measure you measure, is remeasured to you.

¹³ For whoever deals no mercy has unmercied judgment; and mercy exults against judgment.

²⁷ And the sons of Beli Yaal say, How - this man save us? And they despise him and bring no offerings. But he hushes.

⁸ your hand finds all your enemies; your right finds them who hate you:

²⁷ but those, my enemies, who will that I not reign over them, bring them here and slaughter in front of me.

¹³ And Mosheh says to the people, Awe not! Stand still and see the salvation of Yah Veh which he works to you today: for the Misrayim whom you see today, you see them never again any more eternally:

³⁰ and that day, Yah Veh saves Israel from the hand of the Misrayim; and Yisra El sees the Misrayim die on the sea edge:

⁴⁵ And the people say to Shaul, Yah Nathan - who worked this great salvation in Yisra El - die? Far be it: Yah Veh lives, not one hair of his head falls to the earth; for he worked with Elohim this day. - and the people redeem Yah Nathan, that he not die.

⁵ for he set his soul in his palm and smote the Peleshethiy; and Yah Veh worked a great salvation for all Yisra El: you saw and cheered: so why sin against innocent blood, to deathify David gratuitously?

²² And David says, What have I to do with you, you sons of Seruyah, that this day you are satans to me? Is any man deathified this day in Yisra El? For know I not that I - this day am sovereign over Yisra El?

⁴ You are my Sovereign, O Elohim. Misvah salvations for Yaaqov. ⁵ Through you we push down our tribulators; through your name we trample them who rise against us. ⁶ For I confide neither in my bow, nor my sword to save me. ⁷ For you saved us from our tribulators and shamed them who hate us. ⁸ In Elohim we halal all the day long - halal your name eternally. And he sees that there is no man and astonishes that there is no intercessor: and his own arm saves him; and his justness sustains him:

¹⁰ And by the charism of Elohim, I am what I am: and his charism to me became not in vain; but I labored more superabundantly than they all: yet not I - but the charism of Elohim within me.

And Shemu El summons the people to Yah Veh to Mispeh;

¹³ And now behold, the sovereign you chose, for whom you asked! and behold, Yah Veh gives a sovereign over you. ¹⁴ If you awe Yah Veh and serve him and hearken to his voice and rebel not against the mouth of Yah Veh, then both you, and also the sovereign who reigns over you, continue after Yah Veh your Elohim: ¹⁵ and if you hear not the voice of Yah Veh, and rebel against the mouth of Yah Veh, then the hand of Yah Veh becomes against you, as it is against your fathers:

¹⁷ Is today not the wheat harvest? I call to Yah Veh and he gives voice and rain; so that you perceive and see what great evil you work in the eyes of Yah Veh - in your asking for a sovereign.

And on the morrow after that day they sacrifice sacrifices to Yah Veh and holocaust holocausts to Yah Veh - a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand lambs, with their libations and sacrifices in abundance for all Yisra El: ²² and on that day they eat and drink at the face of Yah Veh with great cheerfulness: and they have Shelomoh the son of David reign the second time; and anoint him to Yah Veh as eminent and Sadoq as priest. ²³ And Shelomoh settles on the throne of Yah Veh as sovereign in the stead of David his father and prospers: and all Yisra El hearkens to him; ²⁴ and all the governors and the mighty and also all the sons of sovereign David give their hand under Shelomoh the sovereign.
