¹³ Then David and his men - about six hundred men rise and go from Qeilah: and in walking, they walk. And they tell Shaul that David escapes from Qeilah; and he ceases to go:

⁵ And so be it, afterward, the heart of David smites him, because he cut off the border of Shaul: ⁶ and he says to his men, Far be it, that I work this word to my adoni, the anointed of Yah Veh - to send my hand against him seeing he is the anointed of Yah Veh.

⁹ And David goes - he with his six hundred men and comes to the wadi Besor, and those remaining, stay: ¹⁰ and David pursues - he and four hundred men: for two hundred stay behind - too exhausted to pass over the wadi Besor.

²¹ And David comes to the two hundred men who were too exhausted to go with David, whom they settled at the wadi Besor: and they go to meet David and to meet the people with him: and David comes near to the people, and he asks shalom of them. ²² And all the evil men of Beli Yaal, of those men who went with David, answer and say, Because they went not with us, we give them naught of the spoil we rescued, except to every man his woman and his sons to drive them away and go. ²³ And David says, Work not thus, my brothers, with what Yah Veh gives us, who guards us from the troop that come against us and gives them into our hand. ²⁴ And who hearkens to you in this word? but as his allotment, who descends to the war, thus his allotment, who settles by his instruments - they allot unitedly.

²⁹ He who is slow to wrath is of great discernment; and he who is quick of spirit exalts folly.

³² Better, slow to wrath, than mighty; - to reign over the spirit, than to capture a city.

² Also, without knowledge, the soul is not good; and he who hastens with his feet, sins.

¹¹ The comprehension of a human prolongs his wrath; and his beauty is to pass over a rebellion.

⁸ Go not forth hastily to strive, What work you when your friend finally shames you?

¹⁹ Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place to wrath: for it is scribed, Vengeance is mine; I recompense, words Yah Veh. ^{Deuteronomy 32:35 20} So whenever your enemy famishes, force feed him; whenever he thirsts, give him drink: for in so doing you heap coals of fire on his head; ²¹ so that evil triumphs not over you, but that the good triumphs over evil. ^{Proverbs 25:21, 22}

¹⁹ So then, my beloved brothers, thus be every human: quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: ²⁰ For the wrath of man works not the justness of Elohim.
