THE SIN OF YISRA EL
Thus says Yah Veh, Where is the scroll of divorcement of your mother whom I sent away? Or to which of my exactors have I sold you? Behold, for your perversities you sold yourselves, and for your rebellions is your mother sent away.

³ Why fast we and you see not? Why humble we our soul and you take no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast you find delight, and exact all your contortions.

¹⁶ and so be it, when you abound and bear fruit in the land, in those days - an oracle of Yah Veh they neither say any more, The ark of the covenant of Yah Veh: nor ascend it to heart nor remember they it nor visit they it; nor work they it any more.

WARNINGS AGAINST IDOLATRY
And brothers, I will that you not be unknowing, how that all our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea; ² and all to Mosheh were baptized in the cloud and in the sea; ³ and all ate the same spiritual food; ⁴ and all drank the same spiritual drink: for they drank of a spiritual Rock following them: and the Rock was the Messiah. ⁵ But in many of them Elohim well-approved not; for they scattered in the wilderness:
