⁵ and now, if in hearing, you hear my voice and guard my covenant, then you - you become to me a peculiar possession above all people: for all the earth is mine:

THE SLABS OF WITNESS
And when he finishes wording with Mosheh on mount Sinay, he gives him two slabs of witness - slabs of stone inscribed by the finger of Elohim.

¹⁵ And Mosheh turns his face and descends from the mount with the two slabs of the witness in his hand: the slabs are inscribed on both their sides; on the one side and on the other are they inscribed: ¹⁶ and the slabs are the work of Elohim and the inscribing is the inscibing of Elohim, engraved on the slabs.

²⁰ And he takes and gives the witness into the ark and sets the staves on the ark and gives the kapporeth above the ark:

² and I inscribe the words on the slabs of the first slabs you broke; and put them in the ark. ³ And I worked an ark of shittim timber and sculpted two slabs of stone like the first and ascended the mount with the two slabs in my hand. ⁴ And he inscribed on the slabs according to the first inscribing - the ten words Yah Veh worded to you in the mount from midst the fire in the day of the congregation: and Yah Veh gave me them: ⁵ and I turned my face and descended from the mount and put the slabs in the ark I worked; and there they be, as Yah Veh misvahed me.

YAH VEH CUTS ANOTHER COVENANT These are the words of the covenant, Yah Veh misvahed Mosheh to cut with the sons of Yisra El in the land of Moab - beside the covenant he cut with them in Horeb:

¹⁰ You stand this day - all of you at the face of Yah Veh your Elohim: your heads of your scions, your elders and your officers, with all the men of Yisra El, ¹¹ your toddlers, your women, and the sojourner inside your camp - from the hewer of your timber to the drawer of your water: ¹² to pass the covenant of Yah Veh your Elohim and his oath, which Yah Veh your Elohim cuts with you this day ¹³ - to raise you today, a people to himself; and that he become to you - Elohim - as he worded to you and as he oathed to your fathers - to Abraham, to Yischaq and to Yaaqov: ¹⁴ and not with you only cut I this covenant and this oath;

¹¹ and therein I set the ark wherein is the covenant of Yah Veh he cut with the sons of Yisra El.

YAH VEH CUTS A NEW COVENANT
Behold, days come, - an oracle of Yah Veh that I cut a new covenant with the house of Yisra El and with the house of Yah Hudah: ³² not according to the covenant I cut with their fathers in the day I held them by the hand to bring them from the land of Misrayim - my covenant which they broke, although I was their master - an oracle of Yah Veh: ³³ For this is the covenant I cut with the house of Yisra El: After those days, - an oracle of Yah Veh I give my torah in their inwards and inscribe it in their hearts; and I become their Elohim and they become my people: ³⁴ and no more teaches every man his friend, and every man his brother, saying, Know Yah Veh! For they all know me - from the least of them to the greatest of them - an oracle of Yah Veh for I forgive their perversity and I remember their sin no more.
