And Achiy Thophel says to Abi Shalom, I pray you that I may choose twelve thousand men and I rise and pursue after David this night: ² and I come on him - belabored and weak handed; and tremble him: and all the people with him flee; and I smite the sovereign only: ³ and I return all the people to you - return the man you seek and all: - all the people being in shalom. ⁴ - and the word is right in the eyes of Abi Shalom and in the eyes of all the elders of Yisra El. ⁵ And Abi Shalom says, Call, I pray you, Hushay the Arkiy also and likewise hear what is in his mouth. ⁶ And Hushay comes to Abi Shalom, and Abi Shalom says to him, saying, Achiy Thophel words after this word: Work we after his word? If not; you word. ⁷ And Hushay says to Abi Shalom, The counsel Achiy Thophel counsels is not good at this time. ⁸ For, says Hushay, you know your father and his men are mighty; and bitter of soul as a bereft bear in the field: and your father is a man of war and stays not overnight with the people. ⁹ Behold, even now he hides in one of the pits or in one of the places: and so be it, when some of them fall at the beginning, that in hearing, a hearer says, There is a plague among the people who go after Abi Shalom; ¹⁰ and he who also is the son of valour whose heart is as the heart of a lion, in melting, he melts: for all Yisra El knows that your father is mighty and they with him are sons of valour. ¹¹ So I counsel, that in gathering, all Yisra El gathers to you - from Dan even to Beer Sheba, as the sand by the sea for abundance; and that you go to war by yourself: ¹² and we come upon him in one of the places where we find him; and we light on him as the dew falls on the soil: and of him and of all the men with him not even one remains: ¹³ and if he gathers into a city, then all Yisra El bears lines to that city and we drag it into the wadi, until they find not even a bundle there. ¹⁴ And Abi Shalom and all the men of Yisra El say, The counsel of Hushay the Arkiy is better than the counsel of Achiy Thophel: and Yah Veh misvahs to break down the good counsel of Achiy Thophel, so that Yah Veh brings evil on Abi Shalom. ¹⁵ Then Hushay says to Sadoq and to Abi Athar the priests, Achiy Thophel counsels thus and thus and Abi Shalom and the elders of Yisra El; and I counsel thus and thus: ¹⁶ and now send quickly and tell David, saying, Stay not overnight this night in the plains of the wilderness, but in passing, pass over; lest the sovereign and all the people with him be swallowed. ¹⁷ And Yah Nathan and Achiy Maas stay by En Rogel; for they cannot be seen to come into the city: and a maid goes and tells them; and they go and tell sovereign David: ¹⁸ and a lad sees them and tells Abi Shalom: and both of them go away quickly and come to a house of the man in Bachurim which has a well in his court - wherein they descend: ¹⁹ and the woman takes a covering and spreads it over the face of the well; and spreads grits thereon; and the word is not known. ²⁰ And when the servants of Abi Shalom come to the house of the woman, they say, Where are Achiy Maas and Yah Nathan? ³ And you, O Yah Veh, my buckler, my honor and the lifter of my head. ⁴ I call to Yah Veh with my voice, and he answers me from his holy mountain. Selah. ⁵ I lie down and sleep; I waken; for Yah Veh sustains me.

⁸ I altogether lie down in shalom and sleep; for you only, O Yah Veh, settle me confidently.

² for the mouth of wickedness and the mouth of deceit open against me: they word against me with a false tongue; ³ they surround me with words of hatred; and fight against me gratuitously: ⁴ instead of my love, they are my satans; but I - prayer:

¹⁶ for their feet run to evil and hasten to pour blood.

¹⁶ for they sleep not unless they vilify; and they strip their sleep until they trip some:

⁷ Their feet run to evil and they hasten to pour innocent blood: their fabrications are fabrications of mischief; ravage and breaking are in their highways: ⁸ the way of shalom they know not and there is no judgment in their route: they make them perverted paths; whoever treads therein knows not shalom.

¹⁸ - how he happened on you by the way and curtailed you - even all the weak behind you as you languished and belaboured - and he awed not Elohim.

¹⁴ And the sovereign and all the people with him become languid; and refresh themselves there.

³¹ And the sovereign of Aram misvahs his thirty-two governors who rule over his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, except only, with the sovereign of Yisra El.

⁷ Waken, O sword, against my tender, and against the mighty, my friend - an oracle of Yah Veh Sabaoth: smite the tender, and the flock scatters: and I turn my hand on the belittled.

³⁸ But the cultivators see the son, and they say among themselves, This is the heir! Come! Slaughter him! Seize his inheritance!

³¹ Then Yah Shua words to them, All you scandalize in me this night: for it is scribed, I smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the shepherddom scatter:

⁵⁰ nor reason that it is benefical for us that one human die for the people; and that the whole goyim not destruct.

⁴ So Yah Shua, knowing all that is to come upon him, goes and says to them, Whom seek you? ⁵ They answer him, Yah Shua the Nazarene. Yah Shua words to them, I AM. And Yah Hudah, who betrays him, also stands with them: ⁶ so when he says to them, I AM, they go backward, and fall to to the ground. ⁷ So he asks them again, Whom seek you? And they say, Yah Shua the Nazarene. ⁸ Yah Shua answers, I say to you, I AM: so if you seek me, release these to go their way.

²¹ And Abi Ner says to David, I rise and go, and gather all Yisra El to my adoni the sovereign to cut a covenant with you to reign over all your soul desires. - and David sends Abi Ner away; and he goes in shalom.

²² There is no shalom, says Yah Veh, to the wicked.

²¹ There is no shalom, says my Elohim, to the wicked.

³ For whenever they word, Shalom and security; then unexpected ruin stands over them - exactly as travail upon a woman having in womb; and they never no way escape.

²⁰ And Michal the daughter of Shaul loves David: and they tell Shaul; and the word is straight in his eyes. ²¹ And Shaul says, I give her to him, for a snare to him; and that the hand of the Peleshethiy be against him. So Shaul says to David a second time, This day you become my son in law.

²¹ And Shaul says, Blessed - you of Yah Veh; for you compassion me.

⁴ And the word is straight in the eyes of the sovereign and in the eyes of all the congregation:

³² who, knowing the judgment of Elohim, that they, who transact such are worthy of death, not only do the same but think well of them who transact them.

³² And so be it, David comes to the top, and he prostrates to Elohim; and behold, Hushay the Arkiy comes to meet him with his coat ripped and soil on his head. ³³ And David says to him, If you pass on with me, you become a burden to me: ³⁴ and if you return to the city and say to Abi Shalom, I become your servant, O sovereign; and I become the servant of your father from now on, and I now also become your servant: and you break down the counsel of Achiy Thophel for me. ³⁵ And are there not with you Sadoq and Abi Athar the priests? And so be it, whatever word you hear from the house of the sovereign, tell it to Sadoq and Abi Athar the priests. ³⁶ Behold, their two sons are with them, Achiy Maas of Sadoq and Yah Nathan of Abi Athar; and every word you hear, send me by their hand. ³⁷ So Hushay the friend of David comes to the city and Abi Shalom comes to Yeru Shalem.

¹⁶ and so be it, Hushay the Arkiy, the friend of David, comes to Abi Shalom: and Hushay says to Abi Shalom, The sovereign lives! The sovereign lives! ¹⁷ And Abi Shalom says to Hushay, Is this your mercy to your friend? Why go you not with your friend? ¹⁸ And Hushay says to Abi Shalom, No; but whom Yah Veh and this people and all the men of Yisra El choose, his I am; and with him I settle. ¹⁹ And secondly, whom serve I? - is it not at the face of his son? As I served at the face of your father, thus I at your face.

⁸ Open your mouth for the mute for the plea of all sons of survivors:

²⁵ And the sons of Dan say to him, O that your voice not be heard among us, lest men bitter of soul encounter you and gather your soul with the souls of your household.

¹⁸ And one of the lads answers and says, Behold, I saw a son of Yishay the Beth Lechemiy - a knowledgeable strummer and mighty valiant and a man of war - discerning in words and a man of form and Yah Veh is with him.

³⁴ And David says to Shaul, As your servant tends the flock of his father, a lion and a bear came and lifted a lamb from the drove: ³⁵ and I went out after him and smote him and rescued it from his mouth: and he rose against me, and I held him by his beard and smote him and deathified him: ³⁶ your servant smote both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Peleshethiy becomes as one of them, seeing he reproaches the ranks of the living Elohim.

²³ and see and know all the refuges where he hides himself; and return to me prepared; and I go with you: and so be it, if he is in the land, I search him out throughout all the thousands of Yah Hudah.

¹⁸ and all his servants pass on at his hand; and all the executioners and all the couriers and all the Gittiy - six hundred men who come at his feet from Gath, pass on at the face of the sovereign.

THE MIGHTY OF DAVID
These are the names of the mighty of David: Tachkemoniy Yosheb Bash Shabbath - head of the tertiaries - the same Adino the spearer who pierced eight hundred at one time. ⁹ And after him El Azar the son of Dodo the Ach Oachiy - of the three mighty with David, they reproached the Peleshethiy gathering to war - the men of Yisra El ascended

¹² May a bereaved bear meet a man but not a fool in his folly.

¹⁵ As a growling lion and a ranging bear; thus a wicked sovereign over the poor people.

⁵ And behold, another live being, a second, like a bear: and it raises itself on its side; with three ribs in its mouth between its teeth: and they say thus to it, Rise, devour much flesh.

⁸ I meet them as a bear bereaved and rip the treasure of their heart; and there I devour them as a roaring lion: as the wild live being of the field, split them.

³² And what word I still? for the time fails me to declare about Gidon and also Baraq and Shimshon and Yipthach; also David and Shemu El and the prophets ³³ - who through trust: subdued sovereigndoms, worked justness, obtained pre-evangelisms, sealed the mouths of lions, ³⁴ quenched the dynamis of fire, fled the edge of the sword, from frailty were empowered, became mighty in war, put down the encampments of others,

⁵ and the men of Ay smite about thirty-six of their men: for they pursue them from the face of the portal to Shebarim; and smite them in the descent: and the hearts of the people melt and become as water.

⁶ - and they come after us until we tear them from the city; for, they say, They flee our face, as at first: and we flee their face:

³² And the sons of Ben Yamin say, They are smitten at our face, as at the first. But the sons of Yisra El say, We flee and tear them away from the city to the highways. ³³ And all the men of Yisra El rise from their place and line up at Baal Tamar: and the lurkers of Yisra El come from their places - from the barrens of Gibah:

¹⁴ and the first stroke Yah Nathan and his instrument bearer smite is about twenty men - within as it were a half furrow of an acre of a field. ¹⁵ And they tremble in the camp, in the field, and among all the people: the standing camp and the ruiners also tremble; and the earth quakes - and so be it, a trembling of Elohim:

DAVID AT CAVE ADULLAM AND MISPEH
And David goes thence and escapes to the cave Adullam: and his brothers and all the house of his father hear and descend to him there.

³ and he comes to the flock walls by the way and a cave is there; and Shaul goes in to cover his feet: and David and his men settle in the flanks of the cave.

⁹ Yah Hudah is a whelp of a lion: from the prey, my son, you ascend: he kneels; he crouches as a lion and as a roaring lion; who rouses him?

¹⁵ Then the chiliarchs of Edom terrify; the mighty of Moab, trembling, take hold on them; all who settle Kenaan melt away.

⁸ El brings him from Misrayim; he has as strength of a reem: he eats the goyim his tribulators and craunches their bones and strikes with his arrows. ⁹ He kneels, he lies down as a lion - as a roaring lion - who rouses him? Blessed, he who blesses you and cursed, he who curses you.

²⁸ Where ascend we? Our brothers melted our heart, saying, The people is greater and more exalted than we; the cities are great and fortified to the heavens; and we also saw the sons of the Anakiy there.

⁹ and says to the men, I know Yah Veh gives you the land and that your terror befalls us; and that all the settlers of the land melt at your face: ¹⁰ for we hear how Yah Veh withered the water of the Reed sea at your face, in your going from Misrayim; and what you worked to the two sovereigns of the Emoriy on the other side Yarden - Sichon and Og, whom you devoted: ¹¹ we hear and our hearts melt, and no more spirit/wind rises in any man at your face: for Yah Veh your Elohim is Elohim in the heavens above and on the earth below.

¹⁷ And Shaul says to David, Behold my greater daughter Merab, I give you her to woman: only, become a son of valour for me and fight the wars of Yah Veh. And Shaul says, That my hand becomes not on him, but that the hand of the Peleshethiy becomes on him.

²³ Shaul and Yah Nathan - lovely and pleasant in their lives and in their death they separate not: - swifter than eagles, they prevail mightily over lions.

²⁰ And Bena Yah the son of Yah Yada the son of a valiant man of Qabse El; great in deeds: he smote two Ari Eliy of Moab: and descended and smote a lion midst a well in a day of snow:

¹ The wicked flee when no one pursues; and the just are confident as a whelp.

⁷ Behold his bed, of Shelomoh; sixty mighty surround it - of the mighty of Yisra El.

⁷ So all hands slacken and every heart of man melts;

THE BURDEN OF MISRAYIM
The burden of Misrayim: Behold, Yah Veh rides upon a swift thick cloud and comes to Misrayim: and the idols of Misrayim totter at his face, and the heart of Misrayim melts in its midst:

³⁴ quenched the dynamis of fire, fled the edge of the sword, from frailty were empowered, became mighty in war, put down the encampments of others,

¹⁶ and I set your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then be your seed also numbered.

¹⁷ that blessing, I bless you and abounding, I abound your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand on the sea edge; and your seed possesses the portal of his enemies;

⁴ and they go - they with all their camps - many people - as the sand on the sea lip in abundance with horses and chariots; mighty many:

THE SONS OF YISRA EL ATTACK THE SONS OF BEN YAMIN
And all the sons of Yisra El go out and the witness congregates as one man - from Dan even to Beer Sheba with the land of Gilad to Yah Veh in Mispeh:

²⁸ and now gather the rest of the people and encamp against the city and capture it: lest I capture the city and call it after my name.

² And the sovereign says to Yah Ab the governor of the valiant host with him, Flit now through all the scions of Yisra El from Dan even to Beer Sheba; and number the people so that I know the number of the people.

THE REIGN OF SHELOMOH
Yah Hudah and Yisra El - as many as the sand by the sea in abundance eating and drinking and cheering:

¹⁰ And Ben Hadad sends to him and says, The elohim work so to me and add also, if the dust of Shomeron suffice for palmfuls for all the people at my feet.

¹⁵ he digs a well - digs and falls in the pit of ruin he made: ¹⁶ his toil returns on his own head and his violence descends on his own scalp.

¹⁶ Yah Veh is known by the judgment he works; the wicked is snared in the deeds of his palms. Meditation. Selah.

²³ And now, I beseech you, pledge to my adoni the sovereign of Ashshur and I give you two thousand horses if you can, for your part, give riders on them.

²⁴ I dig and drink strange waters; and with the sole of my steps I parch all the rivers of seige/Masor.

¹³ For he said, By the force of my hand, I worked; and by my wisdom, I discerned: and I turned aside the borders of the people and plundered their treasures; and I brought down the settlers as the mighty: ¹⁴ and my hand found, as a nest, the valuables of the people: and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; and no one flapped the wing or gaped the mouth or chirped.

³ the arrogance of your heart deceives you - you who tabernacle in the clefts of the rock; whose settlement is high; he says in his heart, Who descends me to the earth?

⁶ I set Shomeron as a heap of the field - as plantings of a vineyard: and I pour the stones into the valley and I expose the foundations;

² And Yah Shua says to them, See you not all these? Amen! I word to you, Never no way is stone upon stone allowed, that never no way disintegrates.

²⁸ And he says, Your name is said no more Yaaqov, but Yisra El: for you prevail with Elohim and with men - and prevail.

¹⁶ And yet, for this I stood you, so as to have you see my force; and to scribe my name throughout all the earth.

³⁰ But Sichon sovereign of Heshbon willed to not let us pass by him: for Yah Veh your Elohim hardened his spirit and strengthened his heart, to give him into your hand, as this day.

³¹ And one tells David, saying, Achiy Thophel is among the conspirators with Abi Shalom. And David says, O Yah Veh, I pray you, in follying, folly the counsel of Achiy Thophel.

³⁴ and if you return to the city and say to Abi Shalom, I become your servant, O sovereign; and I become the servant of your father from now on, and I now also become your servant: and you break down the counsel of Achiy Thophel for me.

²³ And the counsel Achiy Thophel counsels in those days, is as if a man asks at the word of Elohim: thus is all the counsel of Achiy Thophel both with David and with Abi Shalom.

¹⁶ And so be it, as he words with him, he says to him, Who gives you to be counsellor to the sovereign? Cease! Why be smitten? Then the prophet ceases and says, I know Elohim counsels to ruin, because you work this and hearken not to my counsel.

²⁰ And Amaz Yah hearkens not; for it is of Elohim to give them into hand, because they seek after the elohim of Edom.

¹² He breaks down the fabrications of the subtle so that their hands not work their substance: ¹³ he captures the wise in their own craftiness; and hastens the counsel of the twisters. ¹⁴ They meet with darkness in the day and grope in the noonday as in the night.

⁹ For he says, and so be it; he misvahs, and it stands. ¹⁰ Yah Veh voids the counsel of the goyim; he annuls the fabrications of the people:

²¹ Many are the fabrications in the heart of man; nevertheless the counsel of Yah Veh rises.

³⁰ There is neither wisdom nor discernment nor counsel against Yah Veh.

¹⁰ in counselling, counsel; and it breaks; word the word, and it rises not: for El is with us.

³⁷ Who is this - who says, and it becomes and Adonay commands not?

³ and if they hide in the top of Karmel/orchard I search and take them from there; and if they hide from my eyes in the floor of the sea I misvah the serpent to bite them there;

⁸ And Adonay halals the unjust administrator because he did thoughtfully: for the sons of this eon in their generation are more thoughtful than the sons of light.

¹⁹ For it is scribed, I destroy the wisdom of the wise and set aside the comprehension of the comprehending. ^{Isaiah 29:14 20} Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this eon? Elohim indeed, follies he not the wisdom of this cosmos?

¹⁹ For the wisdom of this cosmos is foolishness with Elohim. For it is scribed, He grasps the wise in their own cunning.

³⁵ And are there not with you Sadoq and Abi Athar the priests? And so be it, whatever word you hear from the house of the sovereign, tell it to Sadoq and Abi Athar the priests. ³⁶ Behold, their two sons are with them, Achiy Maas of Sadoq and Yah Nathan of Abi Athar; and every word you hear, send me by their hand.

³⁸ And Yah Nathan calls out after the lad, Quickly! Hasten! Stay not! And the lad of Yah Nathan gathers up the arrows and comes to his adoni:

¹⁴ And David says to all his servants with him at Yeru Shalem, Rise! Flee! For in escaping, we escape not the face of Abi Shalom. Hasten to go, lest he hasten and overtake us and drive evil on us and smite the city with the mouth of the sword.

²⁸ See, I linger in the plain of the wilderness, until word comes from you to tell me.

¹⁶ and the border descends to the end of the mountain at the face of the valley of the son of Hinnom/Burning in the valley of Rephaim on the north; and descends to the valley of Hinnom/Burning to the shoulder of Yebusi on the south; and descends to En Rogel;

²⁷ And the sovereign says to Sadoq the priest, Are you a seer? Return to the city in shalom with your two sons, Achiy Maas your son and Yah Nathan the son of Abi Athar.

SHAUL DEFEATS THE AMMONIY
And Nachash the Ammoniy ascends and encamps against Yabesh Gilad: and all the men of Yabesh say to Nachash, Cut a covenant with us, and we serve you.

⁷ Is it not to separate your bread to the famished? To bring the humble outcasts to your house? To cover the naked when you see him? To not conceal yourself from your own flesh?
