Then Yah Veh Adonay says, Behold, I set a plumbline among my people Yisra El: I add not to pass by them any more: ⁹ and I desolate the bamahs of Yischaq and parch the holies of Yisra El; and I rise against the house of Yarob Am with the sword. ¹⁰ And Amas Yah the priest of Beth El sends to Yarob Am sovereign of Yisra El, saying, Amos conspires against you among the house of Yisra El: the land is not able to contain all his words. ¹¹ For Amos says thus: Yarob Am dies by the sword, and in exiling, Yisra El is exiled from their own soil. ¹² Also Amas Yah says to Amos, O you seer, go, flee into the land of Yah Hudah, and there eat bread, and there prophesy: ¹³ and add not to prophesy any more at Beth El: for it is the holies of the sovereigndom and it is the house of the sovereign. ¹⁴ Then Amos answers and says to Amas Yah, I am neither a prophet nor a son of a prophet; but I am a herdman and a pincher of sycomores: ¹⁵ and as I follow the flock, Yah Veh takes me and Yah Veh says to me, Go, prophesy to my people Yisra El. ¹⁶ And now, hear the word of Yah Veh: You say, Neither prophesy against Yisra El nor drip against the house of Yischaq. ¹⁷ So Yah Veh says thus: Your woman whores in the city and your sons and your daughters fall by the sword and your soil is allotted by line; and you die in a foul soil: and in exiling, Yisra El is exiled from his soil.

¹² And Yah Veh says to Mosheh, Spread your hand over the land of Misrayim for the locusts to ascend on the land of Misrayim and eat every herb of the land - even all that survived the hail. ¹³ And Mosheh spreads his rod over the land of Misrayim and Yah Veh drives an east wind on the land all that day and all that night: and morning becomes and the east wind births the locusts: ¹⁴ and the locusts ascend over all the land of Misrayim and rest in all the borders of Misrayim - mighty heavy: neither at their face became such locusts as these nor after them become such: ¹⁵ for they cover the eye of the whole land so that the land darkens; and they eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees which remains of the hail: and not any green remains in the trees or in the herbs of the field through all the land of Misrayim. ¹⁶ And Paroh calls for Mosheh and Aharon in haste; and he says, I have sinned against Yah Veh your Elohim and against you:

⁴ and gather your spoil as the ingathering of the caterpiller: as the running about of locusts he yearns on them.

THE ALMOND SPROUT
And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, Yirme Yah, what see you? And I say, I see a sprout from an almond tree. ¹² And Yah Veh says to me, You well-please in seeing: for I watch my word to work it. ¹³
THE PRESSURE CALDRON
And so be the word of Yah Veh to me secondly, saying, What see you? And I say, I see a pressure caldron; and the face thereof is at the face of the north. ¹⁴ Yah Veh says to me, From the north an evil loosens on all the settlers of the land: ¹⁵ for behold, I call all the families of the sovereigndoms of the north - an oracle of Yah Veh and they come and they give every man his throne at the opening of the portals of Yeru Shalem and against all the walls all round and against all the cities of Yah Hudah: ¹⁶ and I word my judgments against them touching all their evil - in that they forsake me and incense to other elohim, and prostrate to the works of their own hands.

THE FIG BASKETS
Yah Veh has me see; and behold, two baskets of figs congregate at the face of the manse of Yah Veh, after Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel exiles Yechon Yah the son of Yah Yaqim sovereign of Yah Hudah and the governors of Yah Hudah with the engravers and locksmiths from Yeru Shalem; and brings them to Babel.

²⁵ and I word to the exiles all the words Yah Veh has me see.

⁴ What the palmerworm leaves, the locust eats; and what the locust leaves, the cankerworm eats; and what the cankerworm leaves, the caterpiller eats.

²⁵ And I shalam to you the years the locust eats - the cankerworm and the caterpiller and the palmerworm - the great valiant I sent among you.

⁹ I smote you with blasting and pale green when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olives abounded; and the palmerworm devoured: yet you returned not to me - an oracle of Yah Veh.

⁴ Thus Adonay Yah Veh shows me: and behold, Adonay Yah Veh calls to contend by fire; and it consumes the great abyss and eats an allotment.

⁷ Thus he has me see: and behold, Adonay stations a plumb line on a wall and a plumb line in his hand.

THE BASKET OF SUMMER FRUIT
Thus Adonay Yah Veh shows me, and behold, a basket of summer fruit:

¹⁵ there the fire consumes you; the sword cuts you off; deviours you as the cankerworm: multiply yourself as the cankerworm; multiply yourself as the locusts. ¹⁶ You abound your merchants above the stars of the heavens: the cankerworm spreads and flies. ¹⁷ Your princes are as the locusts and your officers as the grubbing grubbers who encamp in the walls in the cold day; and when the sun rises they flee, and the place where they are is not known.

THE FOUR ENGRAVERS
And Yah Veh shows me four engravers:

¹⁵ for they cover the eye of the whole land so that the land darkens; and they eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees which remains of the hail: and not any green remains in the trees or in the herbs of the field through all the land of Misrayim.

YAH VEH REVEALS HIS GLORY
And Mosheh strokes the face of Yah Veh his Elohim and says, O Yah Veh, why kindle your wrath against your people whom you brought from the land of Misrayim with great force and with a strong hand? ¹² Why have the Misrayim say, saying, For evil he brought them out - to slaughter them in the mountains and to finish them off from the face of the soil? Turn from your fuming wrath and sigh of this evil against your people:

⁹ and he says, If, I beseech, I find charism in your eyes, O Adonay, my Adonay, I beseech you, go among us; for it is a hard necked people; and forgive our perversity and our sin, and inherit us.

¹⁷ And now, I beseech you, that the force of my Adonay greaten, as you worded, saying, ¹⁸ Yah Veh - slow to wrath and great of mercy, bearing perversity and rebellion and in exonerating, exonerates not, visiting the perversity of the fathers on the sons to the third and fourth. ¹⁹ Forgive, I beseech you, the perversity of this people according to the greatness of your mercy and as you bear this people, from Misrayim even until now.

¹ To His Eminence; On the Octave; A Psalm by David. Save, O Yah Veh; for the mercied decease; for the trustworthy disappear from among the sons of humanity.

²⁴ Why hide your face and forget our humiliation and our oppression? ²⁵ For our soul sinks to the dust; our belly adheres to the earth: ²⁶ rise for our help and redeem us for sake of your mercies.

⁴ Perhaps Yah Veh your Elohim hears the words of Rab Shaqeh, whom the sovereign of Ashshur his adoni sent to reproach the living Elohim, and to reprove the words Yah Veh your Elohim heard: and to lift your prayer for the survivors who survive.

¹⁹ These two confront you. Who wags over you? Ravage and breaking and the famine and the sword! Who except me sighs over you?

⁷ O Yah Veh, though our perversities answer against us, work this for sake of your name: for our apostasies abound by the myriads; we sin against you.

²⁰ We acknowledge, O Yah Veh, our wickedness, and the perversity of our fathers: for we sinned against you. ²¹ Scorn us not, for sake of your name - the throne of your honor: remember, break not your covenant with us.

² and say to Yirme Yah the prophet, Accept, we beseech you, our supplication at your face; and pray for us to Yah Veh your Elohim for all these survivors - for only a few from an abundance survive as your eyes see:

⁸ And so be it, as they smite them, and I - I survive, I fall on my face, and cry, and say, Aha! Adonay Yah Veh! Ruin you all the survivors of Yisra El in your pouring from your fury on Yeru Shalem?

¹³ And so be it, in prophesying, Pelat Yah the son of Bena Yah dies and I fall on my face and cry with a loud voice, and say, Aha, Adonay Yah Veh; work you a final finish of the survivors of Yisra El?

¹⁹ Adonay, hear; Adonay, forgive; Adonay, hearken and work; delay not, for your own sake, my Elohim: for your city and your people on whom your name is called.

⁵ And I say, O Adonay Yah Veh, cease, I beseech you: How rises Yaaqov? For he is small.

¹⁰ For who disrespects the day of the lesser? they cheer, and see the tin weight in the hand of Zerub Babel: these seven are the eyes of Yah Veh flitting through the whole earth.

¹⁵ and the vow of the trust saves the wearied and Adonay raises him; and if he does sins, they are forgiven. ¹⁶ Confess your backslidings to one another and vow for one another, to be healed. The energized petition of the just is mighty enough.

⁴ And they are rhetorized to injure neither the herbage of the earth nor any green nor any tree; except only those humans who have not the seal of Elohim in their foreheads.

³⁶ For Yah Veh judges his people and sighs for his servants, when he sees their hand disappear and no one restrains.

¹⁵ and Elohim sends an angel to ruin Yeru Shalem: and as he ruins, Yah Veh sees and he sighs concerning the evil; and says to the angel who ruins, Enough now! Slacken your hand! And the angel of Yah Veh stands by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Yebusiy:

⁴⁵ and he remembers his covenant and sighs according to the abundance of his mercies:

¹⁹ Yechizqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah - and all Yah Hudah in deathifying, deathified he him? Feared he not Yah Veh and stroked the face of Yah Veh - and Yah Veh sighed of the evil he worded against them? And we work great evil against our souls.

⁸ How give I you up, Ephrayim? How buckler I you, Yisra El? How give I you as Admah? How set I you as Seboim? My heart turns within me; my solaces yearn together.

¹⁴ Who knows? He returns; yes, he sighs: and leaves a blessing behind him - an offering and a libation to Yah Veh your Elohim.

⁶ Yah Veh sighs for this also: So be it not, says Adonay Yah Veh.

¹⁰ And Elohim sees their works - that they turn from their evil way; and Elohim sighs of the evil he worded to work to them; and he works it not.

²³ And Mosheh spreads his rod toward the heavens: and Yah Veh gives voice and hail and the fire comes down to earth; and Yah Veh rains hail on the land of Misrayim: ²⁴ and there hail and fire become taken midst the hail - mighty heavy, such as none being like it in all the land of Misrayim since it became a goyim:

² And fire comes from the face of Yah Veh and devours them; and they die at the face of Yah Veh.

³⁵ And a fire comes out from Yah Veh and consumes the two hundred and fifty men who oblate incense.

²² For I kindle a fire in my wrath and burn to the nethermost sheol and consume the earth with her produce and inflame the foundations of the mountains.

⁴ Fury is not in me. Who gives me briers - thorns in war? I stride through them; I burn them at once.

¹⁵ For, behold, Yah Veh comes with fire and with his chariots as a hurricane - to turn his wrath with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire. ¹⁶ For by fire and by his sword Yah Veh judges all flesh: and the pierced of Yah Veh abound by the myriads.

⁴ circumcise yourselves to Yah Veh and turn aside the foreskins of your heart, you men of Yah Hudah and settlers of Yeru Shalem: lest my fury comes forth as fire and burns so that no one can quench it at the face of the evil of your exploitations.

¹² O house of David, thus says Yah Veh: Plead the cause in the morning and rescue the stripped from the hand of the oppressor lest my fury go out as fire and burns so no one can quench at the face of the evil of your exploits.

SIGNS OF OMENS
And I give omens in the heavens and in the earth - blood and fire and columns of smoke:

⁴ and I send a fire to the house of Haza El to consume the citadels of Ben Hadad:

⁷ and I send a fire on the wall of Azzah to consume the citadels:

¹¹ I turned against you, as Elohim overthrew Sedom and Amorah, - as a brand rescued from the burning: yet you returned not to me - an oracle of Yah Veh.

⁶ Seek Yah Veh, and live; lest he prospers as fire in the house of Yoseph and consumes; and no one in Beth El to quench it.

Thus Adonay Yah Veh shows me; and behold, he forms grubbers in the beginning of the ascending of the after growth; and behold, it is the latter growth after the shearings of the sovereign.

⁴ and the mountains melt under him and the valleys split - as wax at the face of the fire and as the waters pour down a descent:

⁶ Who stands at the face of his rage? And who rises in the fuming of his wrath? He pours his fury as fire and pulls down the rocks. ⁷ And indeed to the angels he words, Who makes his angels spirits and his liturgists a flame of fire. ^{Psalm 104:4}

IN SPIRIT, IN THE HEAVENS
After these I perceive, and behold, an opened portal in the heavens: and the first voice I hear is as a trumpet speaking with me; wording, Ascend hither, and I show you what must be after these ^*. ^{*some mss place after these at the beginning of verse 2}

⁴ Return to us, O Elohim of our salvation, and break your vexation toward us.

⁹ Unless Yah Veh Sabaoth had a very few survivors remain, we had become as Sedom; likened to Amorah.

²⁵ for yet a very little while, and I conclude the rage, and my wrath in their consumption.

¹⁹ And spread hands proceed from them and the voice of them who ridicule: and I abound them and they diminish not; I honor them, and they are not belittled:

¹⁷ Have the priests, the ministers of Yah Veh, weep between the porch and the sacrifice altar; and have them say, Spare your people, O Yah Veh! And give not your inheritance to reproach so that the goyim reign over them! Why have them say among the people, Where is their Elohim?

² And so be it, they finish eating the herbage of the land, and I say, Adonay Yah Veh, forgive, I beseech you: How rises Yaaqov? For he is small. ³ Yah Veh sighs for this: So be it not, says Yah Veh.

¹⁸ And Yah Veh raises them judges, and Yah Veh is with the judge and saves them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge: for Yah Veh sighs because of their groanings at the face of their oppressors; and oppresses them.

¹⁶ - and they turn aside the elohim of strangers from among them and serve Yah Veh: and his soul shortens for the toil of Yisra El.

¹³ Return, O Yah Veh! Until when? Sigh concerning your servants!

¹⁴ for Yah Veh pleads the cause of his people and he sighs concerning his servants.

³ Yah Veh sighs for this: So be it not, says Yah Veh.

² and he prays to Yah Veh, and says, I beseech you, O Yah Veh, was this not my word when I was yet in my soil? So I anticipated to flee to Tarshish: for I knew you are an El - charismatic and merciful, slow to anger and of great mercy; and you sigh of the evil:

² and he smites Moab and measures them with a line, having them lie down to the earth; and he measures two lines to deathify and with one full line to live. And the Moabiy become servants of David to lift offerings.

¹³ and over Yeru Shalem I spread the line of Shomeron and the plumb line of the house of Ach Ab: and I wipe Yeru Shalem - wipe as wiping a bowl, and turn it to descend on its face:

¹⁷ And I set judgment to the line and justness to the plumb line: and the hail snatches away the refuge of lies, and the waters overflow the covert:

¹¹ And the pelican and the bittern possess it; and the owl and the raven tabernacle therein: and thereon, he spreads the line of waste, and the stones of emptiness.

⁸ Yah Veh machinates to ruin the wall of the daughter of Siyon: he spreads a line; he turns not back his hand from swallowing; and he has the trench and the wall lament; they languish together:

³ And he brings me there, and behold, a man with a visage as the visage of copper with a line of flax in his hand and a measuring stalk; and he stands in the portal

And I lift my eyes, and see: and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand: ² and I say, Where go you? And he says to me, To measure Yeru Shalem, to see what the breadth and what the length are.

And I am given a reed like a scion: and the angel stands, wording, Rise and measure the nave of Elohim and the sacrifice altar and those worshipping therein:

And he speaking with me has a golden reed to measure the city and the gates and the wall:

² And you son of humanity, thus says Adonay Yah Veh to the soil of Yisra El; An end - the end arrives on the four wings of the land: ³ now the end is on you; and I send my wrath on you and judge you according to your ways, and give all your abhorrences on you. ⁴ And neither my eye spares you nor I compassion: and I give your ways on you, for your abhorrences are midst you: and you know I - Yah Veh. ⁵ Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: An evil, one evil, behold, has arrived; ⁶ an end has arrived, the end arrives; it wakens for you; behold, it arrives: ⁷ the corona arrives to you, O you who settle in the land: the time arrives; the day of confusion is near, and not the shouting of the mountains. ⁸ Now, soon I pour my fury on you, and finish off my wrath on you: and I judge you according to your ways, and give you for all your abhorrences. ⁹ And neither my eye spares, nor I compassion: I give you according to your ways and your abhorrences midst you; and you know I - Yah Veh who smites.

² and he says, Amos, what see you? And I say, A basket of summer fruit. And Yah Veh says to me, The end comes on my people of Yisra El; I add not to pass by them any more.

¹⁸ Who is an El like to you, who bears perversity, and passes by the rebellion of the survivors of his inheritance? he holds not his wrath eternally because he delights mercy.

⁸ And with an overpassing overflowing he works a final finish of the place; and darkness pursues his enemies. ⁹ What fabricate you against Yah Veh? He works a final finish: tribulation rises not secondly.

² and he says to me, What see you? And I say, I see a flying roll; the length twenty cubits and the breadth ten cubits.

²³ And he ascends from there to Beer Sheba: ²⁴ and Yah Veh appears to him the same night and says, I - Elohim of Abraham your father: awe not, for I am with you and bless you and abound your seed for sake of my servant Abraham. ²⁵ And he builds a sacrifice altar there and calls on the name of Yah Veh and spreads his tent there: and there the servants of Yischaq dig a well.
THE COVENANT OF YISCHAQ WITH ABI MELECH

YAAQOV MOVES TO MISRAYIM
And Yisra El pulls stakes with all he has and comes to Beer Sheba; and sacrifices sacrifices to the Elohim of his father Yischaq.

³⁰ And I destroy your bamahs and cut down your sun icons and give your carcases on the carcases of your idols that my soul loathe you: ³¹ and I give your cities as parched areas and desolate your holies and I scent not your scent of rest:

ZECHAR YAH REIGNS OVER YAH HUDAH
In the thirty-eighth year of Azar Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah, Zechar Yah the son of Yarob Am reigns over Yisra El in Shomeron six months: ⁹ and he works evil in the eyes of Yah Veh as his fathers worked: he turns not aside from the sins of Yarob Am the son of Nebat who had Yisra El sin. ¹⁰ And Shallum the son of Yabesh conspires against him and smites him in front of the people and deathifies him and reigns in his stead.

¹⁸ The people of your holiness possessed but a little while: our tribulators trampled your holies.

⁸ And the bamahs of Aven, the sin of Yisra El, desolates: the thorn and the thistle ascend on their sacrifice altars; and they say to the mountains, Cover us! and to the hills, Fall on us!

¹⁴ in the day I visit the rebellions of Yisra El on him I also visit the sacrifice altars of Beth El: and cut off the horns of the sacrifice altar to fall to the earth:

⁵ neither seek Beth El nor enter Gilgal nor pass through Beer Sheba: for in exiling, Gilgal is exiled, and Beth El becomes for mischief.

YAROB AM REIGNS OVER YAH HUDAH
In the fifteenth year of Amaz Yah the son of Yah Ash sovereign of Yah Hudah, Yarob Am the son of Yah Ash sovereign of Yisra El begins to reign in Shomeron forty-one years: ²⁴ and he works evil in the eyes of Yah Veh: he turns not aside from all the sins of Yarob Am the son of Nebat who had Yisra El to sin.

⁸ And now you say to strengthen yourselves at the face of the sovereigndom of Yah Veh in the hand of the sons of David; and you are a great multitude; and golden calves with you which Yarob Am worked you for elohim. ⁹ Expelled you not the priests of Yah Veh - the sons of Aharon and the Leviym? And worked priests after the manner of the nations of lands? So that whoever comes to fill his hand with a steer the son of an ox and seven rams, becomes a priest of a non-elohim.

¹⁸ And they say, Come! We fabricate fabrications against Yirme Yah; for neither the torah destructs from the priest nor counsel from the wise nor the word from the prophet: Come, and smite him with the tongue, and hearken not to any of his words.

YIRME YAH IS PERSECUTED
And Pashchur the son of Immer the priest who is also eminent overseer in the house of Yah Veh hears Yirme Yah prophesying these words: ² and Pashchur smites Yirme Yah the prophet and gives him in the stockades in the most high portal of Ben Yamin by the house of Yah Veh. ³ And so be it, on the morrow, Pashchur brings Yirme Yah from the stockades; and Yirme Yah says to him, Yah Veh calls not your name Pashchur, but Magor Mis Sabib/Terror All Around:

⁸ And so be it, Yirme Yah finishes wording all Yah Veh misvahs him to word to all the people; and the priests and the prophets and all the people apprehend him, saying, In dying, you die! ⁹ Why prophesy you in the name of Yah Veh, saying, This house becomes as Shiloh, and this city parched without a settler? - and all the people congregate against Yirme Yah in the house of Yah Veh. ¹⁰ And the governors of Yah Hudah hear these words, and they ascend from the house of the sovereign to the house of Yah Veh; and sit in the opening of the new portal of the house of Yah Veh. ¹¹ And the priests and the prophets say to the governors and to all the people, saying, A judgment of death for this man; for he prophesies against this city, as you hear with your ears.

²⁶ Yah Veh gives you as priest in the stead of Yah Yada the priest; being overseers in the house of Yah Veh, for every insane man who prophesies, to give him to the stockade and in the stocks. ²⁷ And now why rebuke you not Yirme Yah of Anathothiy who prophesies to you?

¹³ And so be it, he is in the portal of Ben Yamin, a master of the visitation is there whose name is Yiri Yah the son of Shelem Yah the son of Hanan Yah; and he apprehends Yirme Yah the prophet, saying, You fall to the Kesediym. ¹⁴ And Yirme Yah says, Falsehood! I fall not to the Kesediym. - and he hearkens not to him. And Yiri Yah apprehends Yirme Yah, and brings him to the governors: ¹⁵ and the governors enraged over Yirme Yah and smite him and give him into the bond house in the house of Yah Nathan the scribe: which they worked for a prison house.

In the ninth year of Hoshea the sovereign of Ashshur captures Shomeron and exiles Yisra El to Ashshur; and sets them in Halach and in Habor by the river Gozan and in the cities of the Madaim.

⁵ Every day they contort my words; all their fabrications are against me for evil.

⁹ Why prophesy you in the name of Yah Veh, saying, This house becomes as Shiloh, and this city parched without a settler? - and all the people congregate against Yirme Yah in the house of Yah Veh.

¹⁰ And Hanan Yah the prophet takes the yoke pole from off the neck of the prophet Yirme Yah and breaks it: ¹¹ and in the eyes of all the people, Hanan Yah says, saying, Thus says Yah Veh: Even thus I break the yoke of Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel from the neck of all goyim within the space of two years of days. - and the prophet Yirme Yah goes his way.

¹⁹ Yes, you profane me among my people for palmfuls of barley and for bits of bread - to execute the souls that ought not die and to enliven them that ought not live - by your lying to my people - hearkening to lies.

¹² And you have the Separatists drink wine; and misvah the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

The same day, some of the Pharisees come, and word to him, Go! and, Depart hence! - for Herod wills to slaughter you.

³⁹ and they come and entreat them and lead them out and ask them to depart from the city.

¹⁸ For they who are such serve not our Adonay Yah Shua Messiah, but their own belly; and through kind words and eulogy seduce the hearts of the simple.

The words of Amos, being among the branders of Teqoa, which he sees concerning Yisra El in the days of Uzzi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah; and in the days of Yarob Am the son of Yah Ash sovereign of Yisra El, two years ere the face of the quake.

⁷⁰ He chose David his servant and took him from the flock folds; ⁷¹ after the sucklings, great with young, he brought him to tend Yaaqov his people and Yisra El his inheritance; ⁷² thus he tended them according to the integrity of his heart; and led them by the discernment of his palms.

And walking by the sea of Galiyl, Yah Shua sees two brothers, Shimon worded Petros and Andreas his brother casting a net into the sea: for they are fishers: ¹⁹ and he words to them, Come after me; and I make you fishers of humanity.

And Yah Shua passes from there and sees a human worded Matthaios sitting at the custom: and he words to him, Follow me. - and he rises, and follows him.

⁴⁶ and he says to them, Thus it is scribed, and thus it is necessary for the Messiah to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: ⁴⁷ and that repentance and forgiveness of sins be preached in his name among all goyim beginning at Yeru Shalem. ⁴⁸ - and you are witnesses of these.

⁴⁶ Son of humanity, set your face in the southerly way and drop southward and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

² Son of humanity, set your face toward Yeru Shalem and drop toward the holies; and prophesy against the soil of Yisra El:

¹³ and add not to prophesy any more at Beth El: for it is the holies of the sovereigndom and it is the house of the sovereign.

⁶ you drip* not; they drip: they drip not to you, they remove not shame. *drip: as in dripping words.

³³ and I scatter you among the goyim and draw a sword after you: and desolate your land and parch your cities. ³⁴ Then the land is pleased in her shabbaths as long as it desolates; with you in the land of your enemies; then the land shabbathizes and is pleased in her shabbaths: ³⁵ as long as it desolates, it shabbathizes; because it shabbathizes not in your shabbaths when you settle there. ³⁶ And on those who survive, I send a timidity into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the voice of a driven leaf pursues them; and they flee as retreating from a sword; and they fall when none pursues: ³⁷ and they falter - man to brother as at the face of a sword when none pursues: and you have no resistance at the face of your enemies: ³⁸ and you destruct among the goyim and the land of your enemies eats you: ³⁹ and those of you who survive pine away in their perversity in the lands of your enemies; and also in the perversities of their fathers they pine away with them.

¹⁶ so thus says Yah Veh: Behold, I send you from off the face of the soil: this year you die, because you word revolt against Yah Veh.

²¹ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth Elohim of Yisra El, of Ach Ab the son of Kola Yah and of Sidqi Yah the son of Maase Yah who prophesy a falsehood to you in my name; Behold, I give them into the hand of Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel to smite them in front of your eyes;

²⁵ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth Elohim of Yisra El, saying, Because you sent scrolls in your name to all the people at Yeru Shalem and to Sephan Yah the son of Maase Yah the priest and to all the priests, saying,

³¹ Send to all the exiles, saying, Thus says Yah Veh concerning Shema Yah the Nechlamiy: Because Shema Yah prophesied to you and I sent him not; and he had you confide in a falsehood: ³² so thus says Yah Veh: Behold, I visit on Shema Yah the Nechlamiy and his seed: he neither has a man to settle among this people nor sees the good I work for my people - an oracle of Yah Veh because he words revolt against Yah Veh.

And so be the word of Yah Veh to Yirme Yah after the sovereign burns the roll with the words Baruch inscribed at the mouth of Yirme Yah, saying, ²⁸ Return, take another roll, and inscribe therein all the former words in the first roll that Yah Yaqim the sovereign of Yah Hudah burned: ²⁹ and say to Yah Yaqim sovereign of Yah Hudah, Thus says Yah Veh: You burned this roll, saying, Why inscribed you therein, saying, In coming, the sovereign of Babel comes and ruins this land, and shabbathizes humanity and animal from it? ³⁰ So thus says Yah Veh of Yah Yaqim sovereign of Yah Hudah; No one of his is to sit on the throne of David and his carcase is cast out - to the parchness in the day and to the frost in the night: ³¹ and I visit on him and his seed and his servants for their perversity; and I bring on them and on the settlers of Yeru Shalem and on the men of Yah Hudah all the evil I worded against them: and they hearken not. ³² And Yirme Yah takes another roll and gives it to Baruch the scribe the son of Neri Yah; who inscribes therein from the mouth of Yirme Yah all the words of the scroll Yah Yaqim sovereign of Yah Hudah burned in the fire: and added besides many like words to them.

¹¹ They humble the women in Siyon and the virgins in the cities of Yah Hudah;

¹³ And Yah Veh says, Even thus the sons of Yisra El eat their fouled bread among the goyim, where I drive them.

¹³ they sacrifice on the mountain tops and incense on the hills; under oaks and poplars and terebinth because the shadow is good: so your daughters whore and your brides adulterize. ¹⁴ I neither visit on your daughters when they whore; nor your brides when they adulterize: for they separate with whores and they sacrifice with hallowed whores: a people who discerns not, falls.

³ they settle not in the land of Yah Veh; and Ephrayim returns to Misrayim, and they eat the foul in Ashshur.

¹¹ For Amos says thus: Yarob Am dies by the sword, and in exiling, Yisra El is exiled from their own soil.

² and I gather all goyim to battle against Yeru Shalem; and capture the city and plunder the houses; and rape the women: and half of the city goes into exile, and not cut off the remnant of the people from the city.
