And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, ² Son of humanity, two women are the daughters of one mother, ³ and they whore in Misrayim; they whore in their youth: there they pierce their breasts and there they work the nipples of their virginity: ⁴ and their names, Oholah and Oholi Bah her sister: and they are mine; and they birth sons and daughters. As to their names: Shomeron is Oholah and Yeru Shalem Oholi Bah. ⁵ And Oholah whores under me; and she pants after her lovers - on the neighboring Ashshuri ⁶ - governors and prefects enrobed with blue - all youths of desire - cavalry riding on horses. ⁷ Thus she gives her whoredoms with them - with all the chosen sons of Ashshur and with all whom she pants after: she fouls herself with all their idols: ⁸ she forsakes not her whoredoms from Misrayim: for in her youth they lie with her and work the nipples of her virginity and pour their whoredom on her. ⁹ So I give her into the hand of her lovers - into the hand of the sons of Ashshur whom she pants after. ¹⁰ They expose her nakedness: they take her sons and her daughters and slaughter her with the sword: and she becomes a name among women; and they work judgments on her. ¹¹ And her sister Oholi Bah sees this, and in her panting, she ruins more than her, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms. ¹² She pants after the neighboring sons of Ashshur - governors and prefects enrobed most splendidly, - cavalry riding on horses - all youths of desire. ¹³ Then I see her foul - one way to both; ¹⁴ and she increases her whoredoms: for when she sees men engraved on the wall - images of the Kesediym engraved with vermilion ¹⁵ girdled with girdles on their loins exceeding in dyed attire on their heads - all of them tertiaries in visage after the likeness of the sons of Babel of Kesediym, the land of their kindred. ¹⁶ And at the sight of her eyes, she pants after them, and sends angels to them to Kesediym: ¹⁷ and the sons of Babel come to her into the bed of love, and they foul her with their whoredom and she is fouled by them; and her soul alienates from them: ¹⁸ and she exposes her whoredoms and exposes her nakedness: and I alienate my soul from her as I alienated my soul from her sister: ¹⁹ and she abounds her whoredoms in remembering the days of her youth wherein she whored in the land of Misrayim: ²⁰ and she pants after their concubines - whose flesh is as the flesh of burros and whose flux is as the flux of horses. ²¹ You visit the intrigue of your youth, in working your nipples by the Misrayim for the breasts of your youth. ²² So, O Oholi Bah, thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Behold, I waken your lovers against you, from whom you alienate your soul; and I bring them against you all around ²³ - the sons of Babel and all the Kesediym; Pekod and Shoa and Koa with all the sons of Ashshur - all youths of desire, governors and prefects, great tertiaries and called out - all riding on horses: ²⁴ and they come against you with weapons chariots and wheels; and with a congregation of people, who set shield and buckler and helmet against you all around: and I give judgment at their face to judge you according to their judgments: ²⁵ and I give my jealousy against you that they work with you in fury: they turn aside your nostrils and your ears and your posterity falls by the sword: they take your sons and your daughters and consume your posterity by the fire: ²⁶ and they strip your clothes and take your instruments of adornment: ²⁷ thus I shabbathize your whoredom from you and your intrigue from the land of Misrayim: so that you neither lift your eyes to them nor remember Misrayim any more. ²⁸ For thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Behold, I give you into the hand of whom you hate - into the hand from whom your soul alienates: ²⁹ and they work with you in hatred and take away all your labor and forsake you naked and nude: and they expose the nakedness of your whoredoms - both your intrigue and your whoredoms. ³⁰ I work these to you because you whore after the goyim; because you foul with their idols: ³¹ you walk in the way of your sister; and I give her cup into your hand. ³² Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Drink of the cup of your sister - deep and large: you are ridiculed and derided - containing an increase ³³ - filled with intoxication and grief with the cup of desolation and desolation with the cup of your sister Shomeron. ³⁴ Drink and suck out; craunch the potsherds and tear your own breasts: for I have worded - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh. ³⁵ So thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Because you forget me and cast me behind your back, even thus you also bear your intrigue and your whoredoms. ³⁶ Yah Veh says to me; Son of humanity, Judge you Oholah and Oholi Bah? Tell them their abhorrences: ³⁷ that they adulterize and blood is in their hands; and they adulterize with their idols; and their sons whom they birthed to me they also pass through for fuel. ³⁸ Even yet, they work this to me: they foul my holies the same day they profane my shabbaths: ³⁹ they slaughter their sons to their idols; and the same day they come into my holies to profane: and behold, thus they work midst my house. ⁴⁰ And also, that you sent for men coming from afar, to whom you sent an angel; and behold, they come - they, for whom you baptized yourself, painted your eyes, and adorned yourself with ornaments; ⁴¹ and you sit on a stately bed, and arrange a table at its face, whereon you set my incense and my oil. ⁴² And with her, a voice of a serene multitude: and with the men of the abundance of humanity, bring Sabaiym/carousers from the wilderness who give clasps on their hands and crowns of adornment on their heads. ⁴³ And I say to the one worn out in adulteries, Whore they now with her? And she with them? ⁴⁴ And they go in to her, as they go in to a woman who whores: thus they go in to Oholah and to Oholi Bah the intriguing women: ⁴⁵ and the just men judge them after the judgment of adulteresses and after the judgment of women who pour blood - because they are adulteresses and blood is in their hands. ⁴⁶ For thus says Adonay Yah Veh: I ascend a congregation on them, and give them to be removed and for plunder. ⁴⁷ And the congregation stones them with stones and cuts them with their swords; they slaughter their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire. ⁴⁸ Thus I shabbathize intrigue from the land, to teach all women to not work after your intrigue. ⁴⁹ And they give your intrigue on you, and you bear the sins of your idols: and you know I - Adonay Yah Veh.

⁷ And I say, after she works all these, You, return to me. - and she returns not. And her covert sister Yah Hudah sees: ⁸ and I see, when for all the causes whereby apostate Yisra El adulterized I sent her away and gave her a scroll of divorce; yet her sister Yah Hudah who deals covertly awes not, and goes and whores also. ⁹ And so be it, through the voice of her whoredom she profanes the land, and adulterizes with stones and with timber. ¹⁰ And yet for all this her sister Yah Hudah who deals covertly returns not to me with her whole heart, but in falsehood - an oracle of Yah Veh.

⁴⁴ Behold, every one who proverbializes proverbs proverbializes this proverb against you, saying, As the mother, thus her daughter. ⁴⁵ You are the daughter of your mother who loathes her man and her sons; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathe their men and their sons: your mother is a Hethiy and your father an Emoriy: ⁴⁶ and your great sister is Shomeron - she and her daughters who settle at your left: and your younger sister who settles at your right is Sedom and her daughters.

⁷ and no more sacrifice their sacrifices to bucks after whom they whored. - an eternal statute to them throughout their generations.

YAH SHUA CHALLENGES YISRA EL Now awe Yah Veh and serve him in integrity and in truth: and turn aside the elohim your fathers served beyond the river and in Misrayim; and serve Yah Veh:

²² And in all your abhorrences and your whoredoms you remember not the days of your youth, when you were naked and nude, and were trampled in your blood.

⁸ And they rebel against me and will to not hearken to me: they - every man neither cast away the abominations of their eyes, nor forsake the idols of Misrayim. And I say, I pour my fury on them to finish off my wrath against them midst the land of Misrayim.

²⁰ And you take your sons and your daughters, whom you birthed to me, and you sacrifice them to be eaten. Are these trifling - your whoredoms,

⁴⁰ and they ascend a congregation against you and stone you with stones and section you with their swords:

²² you worship what you know not; we worship what we know: for salvation is of the Yah Hudiym.

³¹ And so be it, as trifling for him to walk in the sins of Yarob Am the son of Nebat, he takes to woman Iy Zebel the daughter of Eth Baal sovereign of the Sidoniy; and goes and serves Baal and prostrates to him: ³² and he raises a sacrifice altar for Baal in the house of Baal he builds in Shomeron:

³⁷ behold, so I gather all your lovers whom you pleased and all whom you loved with all whom you hated - and I gather them all around against you and expose your nakedness to them so that they see all your nakedness.

⁷ Thus she gives her whoredoms with them - with all the chosen sons of Ashshur and with all whom she pants after: she fouls herself with all their idols:

¹³ And Ephrayim sees his sickness and Yah Hudah sees his sore; and Ephrayim goes to the Ashshuri and sends to sovereign Yareb to plead: yet he can neither heal you nor cure you of your sore.

⁹ for they ascend to Ashshur - a wild runner alone by himself: Ephrayim hires lovers. ¹⁰ Yes, though they hire among the goyim I now gather them; and they are pierced a little by the burden of the sovereign of governors.

³ saying, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: The city pours blood in its midst, so that her time approaches: and she works idols against herself to foul herself. ⁴ You guilt in that you pour blood; and foul yourself by the idols you work; and you cause your days to approach, and approach your years: so I give you - a reproach to the goyim and a ridicule to all lands.

³⁰ I work these to you because you whore after the goyim; because you foul with their idols:

³ I know Ephrayim, and Yisra El is not concealed from me: for you, O Ephrayim, whore and Yisra El fouls:

¹⁰ I see horror in the house of Yisra El: - the whoredom of Ephrayim, Yisra El defiles.

⁴ and he takes them from their hand and with a stylus forms and works a molten calf thereof: and they say, These are your elohim, O Yisra El, who ascended you from the land of Misrayim.

¹⁶ and they leave all the misvoth of Yah Veh their Elohim; and work moltens - two calves and work an asherah and prostrate to all the host of the heavens and serve Baal:

³ and they whore in Misrayim; they whore in their youth: there they pierce their breasts and there they work the nipples of their virginity:

²⁹ In the days of Peqach sovereign of Yisra El Tilgath Pileser sovereign of Ashshur comes and takes Iyon and Abel Beth Maachah and Yanochah and Qedesh and Hasor and Gilad and Galiyl - all the land of Naphtali and exiles them to Ashshur.

³ Shalmaneser sovereign of Ashshur ascends against him; and Hoshea becomes his servant and returns him offerings: ⁴ and the sovereign of Ashshur finds conspiracy in Hoshea: for he sends angels to So the sovereign of Misrayim and holocausts no offering to the sovereign of Ashshur as year by year: and the sovereign of Ashshur restrains him and binds him in the house of prison: ⁵ and the sovereign of Ashshur ascends to all the land and ascends to Shomeron and besieges it three years. ⁶
YISRA EL EXILED
In the ninth year of Hoshea the sovereign of Ashshur captures Shomeron and exiles Yisra El to Ashshur; and sets them in Halach and in Habor by the river Gozan and in the cities of the Madaim.

²³ until Yah Veh turns Yisra El aside from his face, as he worded by the hand of all his servants the prophets: thus Yisra El is exiled from their own soil to Ashshur to this day.

⁹ And so be it, in the fourth year of sovereign Yechizqi Yah - the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah sovereign of Yisra El, Shalmaneser sovereign of Ashshur ascends against Shomeron and besieges it: ¹⁰ and at the end of three years they capture it: in the sixth year of Yechizqi Yah - in the ninth year of Hoshea sovereign of Yisra El Shomeron is captured: ¹¹ and the sovereign of Ashshur exiles Yisra El to Ashshur; and guides them in Halach and in Habor by the river Gozan; and in the cities of the Madaim: ¹² because they hearken not to the voice of Yah Veh their Elohim; but trespass his covenant; and all that Mosheh the servant of Yah Veh misvahed they neither hearken nor work them.

²⁶ And Elohim of Yisra El wakens the spirit of Pul sovereign of Ashshur and the spirit of Tilgath Pileser sovereign of Ashshur and he exiles them - even the Reu Beniy and the Gadiy and the half scion of Menash Sheh and brings them to Halach and Habor and Hara and to the river Gozan, to this day.

⁵ He returns not to the land of Misrayim, and the Ashshuri is his sovereign - because they refuse to return:

¹² And the ten horns you see are ten sovereigns, who take no sovereigndom as yet; but take authority as sovereigns with the beast one hour. ¹³ These have one opinion and distribute their own dynamis and authority to the beast.

⁸ And many goyim pass by this city and they say every man to his friend, Why works Yah Veh thus to this great city? ⁹ And they say, Because they forsook the covenant of Yah Veh their Elohim; and prostrated to other elohim and served them.

³⁷ behold, so I gather all your lovers whom you pleased and all whom you loved with all whom you hated - and I gather them all around against you and expose your nakedness to them so that they see all your nakedness. ³⁸ And I judge you with judgments as adulteresses who pour blood; and I give you blood and fury and jealousy: ³⁹ and I give you into their hand: and they throw down your arch and pull down your ramahs: and they strip you of your clothes and take your instruments of adornment; and leave you naked and nude: ⁴⁰ and they ascend a congregation against you and stone you with stones and section you with their swords: ⁴¹ and they burn your houses with fire and work judgments on you in the eyes of many women: and I shabbathize you from whoring and that you give a payoff no more.

²⁹ and they work with you in hatred and take away all your labor and forsake you naked and nude: and they expose the nakedness of your whoredoms - both your intrigue and your whoredoms.

⁴⁸ Thus I shabbathize intrigue from the land, to teach all women to not work after your intrigue.

³ lest I strip her naked and set her as in the day she was birthed; and set her as a wilderness and set her as a parched land and deathify her with thirst:

¹⁰ And now I expose her vulva in the eyes of her lovers, and no man rescues her from my hand.

⁸ and I see, when for all the causes whereby apostate Yisra El adulterized I sent her away and gave her a scroll of divorce; yet her sister Yah Hudah who deals covertly awes not, and goes and whores also. ⁹ And so be it, through the voice of her whoredom she profanes the land, and adulterizes with stones and with timber. ¹⁰ And yet for all this her sister Yah Hudah who deals covertly returns not to me with her whole heart, but in falsehood - an oracle of Yah Veh. ¹¹ And Yah Veh says to me, The apostate Yisra El justifies her soul more than Yah Hudah who deals covertly.

⁴⁷ Yet you neither walk after their ways, nor work after their abhorrences: but loathe as a trifling: in all your ways, you are ruined more than they. ⁴⁸ I live - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh Sedom your sister - neither she nor her daughters work as you work - you and your daughters. ⁴⁹ Behold, this is the perversity of your sister Sedom: pomp, sufficiency of bread, and the serenity of resting are in her and in her daughters, she strengthens not the hand of the humble and needy: ⁵⁰ and they lift themselves and work abhorrence at my face: and I turn them aside when I see. ⁵¹ As for Shomeron: she sins not the half of your sins; but you abound your abhorrences more than they and justify your sisters in all the abhorrences you work.

⁴ and their names, Oholah and Oholi Bah her sister: and they are mine; and they birth sons and daughters. As to their names: Shomeron is Oholah and Yeru Shalem Oholi Bah.

³¹ you walk in the way of your sister; and I give her cup into your hand.

And Yah Veh says to me, Though Mosheh and Shemu El stand at my face, yet my soul is not toward this people: send them from my face, and go.

Is it trifling to the house of Yah Hudah to work the abhorrences they work here? For they fill the land with violence and return to vex me: and behold, they spread the twig to their nostrils. ¹⁸ So I also work in fury: neither my eye spares, nor I compassion: and though they call out in my ears with a great voice, yet I hear them not.

⁶ So thus says Adonay Yah Veh: As I give the vine tree among the trees of the forest as fire for fuel, thus I give the settlers of Yeru Shalem: ⁷ and I give my face against them; they come from the fire; and fire consumes them: and you know I - Yah Veh when I set my face against them:

³⁸ And I judge you with judgments as adulteresses who pour blood; and I give you blood and fury and jealousy: ³⁹ and I give you into their hand: and they throw down your arch and pull down your ramahs: and they strip you of your clothes and take your instruments of adornment; and leave you naked and nude: ⁴⁰ and they ascend a congregation against you and stone you with stones and section you with their swords: ⁴¹ and they burn your houses with fire and work judgments on you in the eyes of many women: and I shabbathize you from whoring and that you give a payoff no more. ⁴² Thus I rest my fury toward you; and turn my jealousy from you: and I rest, and vex no more.

⁴⁷ and say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of Yah Veh; Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Behold, I kindle a fire in you; and it consumes every fresh tree in you and every dry tree: the flaming flame quenches not; and all faces from the south to the north inflame: ⁴⁸ and all flesh sees that I Yah Veh burn it: it quenches not.

¹⁸ Son of humanity, the house of Yisra El is to me become dross: all they are copper and tin and iron and lead midst the furnace - drosses of silver. ¹⁹ So thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Because you all become dross, behold, so I gather you midst Yeru Shalem: ²⁰ a gathering of silver and copper and iron and lead and tin midst the furnace, to puff the fire thereon, to melt: thus I gather you in my wrath and in my fury and I leave you and melt you: ²¹ yes, I gather you, and puff on you in the fire of my wrath, and melt you in the midst: ²² as silver melts midst the furnace, thus you melt in the midst: and you know that I Yah Veh pour my fury on you.

⁴⁷ And the congregation stones them with stones and cuts them with their swords; they slaughter their sons and their daughters, and burn their houses with fire.

⁴ and I not mercy her sons; for they are the sons of whoredoms: ⁵ for their mother whores: she who conceived them shames - for she says, I go after my lovers who give me my bread and my water; my wool and my flax; my oil and my drink:

¹⁸ Even their silver, even their gold cannot rescue them in the day of the wrath of Yah Veh; and in the fire of his jealousy consumes the whole land: for he even works a hasty final finish of all who settle in the land.

⁸ For this her plagues come in one day - death and mourning and famine; and she utterly burns in fire: because mighty is Yah Veh Elohim who judges her.

⁵ So I hew them by the prophets; I slaughter them by the sayings of my mouth: and your judgments are as the light that comes forth.
