¹⁶ You satiate - abasement for honor: and you drink and be uncircumcised: the cup of the right of Yah Veh turns to you, and an abasement is on your honor.

⁸ For there is a cup in the hand of Yah Veh: the wine foams; it is full of mixture: and he pours thus; surely, all the wicked of the earth wring out and drink the dregs.

³⁵ the wise inherit honor; and abasement is the exaltation of fools.

³ Your nakedness is exposed, yes, your reproach is seen: I take avengement, and I meet you not as a human.

²⁶ and they who oppress you, I feed with their own flesh; and intoxicate with their own blood as with squeezed juice: that all flesh know I - Yah Veh your Saviour and your Redeemer, the Almighty One of Yaaqov.

²¹ So I beseech, hear this, O humbled and intoxicated - but not with wine. ²² Thus says your Adonay Yah Veh, and your Elohim who pleads the cause of his people, Behold, I take the cup of staggering from your hand - the chalice of the cup of my fury; add not to drink it again: ²³ and I set it in the hand of them who grieve you; who say to your soul, Prostrate, and we pass over: and you set your back as the earth, and as the outway, to them who pass over.

¹⁵ For thus says Yah Veh Elohim of Yisra El to me: Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and have all the goyim, to whom I send you, drink:

²⁶ and all the sovereigns of the north, far and near, man with brother; and all the sovereigndoms of the earth on the face of the soil: and the sovereigns of Sheshach drink after them. ²⁷ And say to them, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth Elohim of Yisra El: You, drink and intoxicate and vomit and fall and rise no more at the face of the sword I send among you. ²⁸ And so be it, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink then you say to them, Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth; In drinking, drink! ²⁹ For, behold, I begin to vilify the city on which my name is called. And in exonerating, are you exonerated? You are not unpunished: for I call for a sword on all the settlers of the earth - an oracle of Yah Veh Sabaoth.

⁵⁷ and I intoxicate her governors and her wise - her governors and her prefects and her mighty: and they sleep an eternal sleep and waken not - an oracle of the Sovereign whose name is Yah Veh Sabaoth.

²¹ Rejoice and cheer, O daughter of Edom, who settles in the land of Us; the cup also passes through to you; intoxicate and strip yourself naked:

⁷ According to their abundance, thus they sin against me: so I change their honor into abasement.

⁵ In the day of our sovereign the governors stroke him with wine of fury; he draws his hand with scorners:
