³³ Behold, Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth lops the foliage with violence: and cuts the high ones of height and abases the lofty:

And of ancient days, I formed it? And now I bring it to become waste - cut off cities into desolate heaps: ²⁶ and their settlers are short of hand terrified and shamed - as the herb of the field - as the green sprouts - as the leeks on the roofs blasted at the face of her stalks. ²⁷ And I know your settlement and your going and your coming and your quaking against me: ²⁸ because your quaking against me and your uproar ascends into my ears, I set my hook in your nostrils and my bit in your lips and I turn you back the way you came. ²⁹ And this is your sign: this year, eat of the spontaneous growth; and in the second year, of the spontaneous sprout; and in the third year, seed and harvest and plant vineyards and eat the fruits thereof: ³⁰ and the escapees of the house of Yah Hudah who survive take root downward and work fruit upward: ³¹ for survivors go from Yeru Shalem and escapees from mount Siyon: the zeal of Yah Veh Sabaoth works this. ³² So thus says Yah Veh concerning the sovereign of Ashshur: He neither comes into this city nor shoots an arrow there nor precedes it with buckler nor pours a mound against it: ³³ by the way he comes, by the same he returns; and comes not into this city - an oracle of Yah Veh: ³⁴ and I garrison this city to save it for my own sake and for sake of my servant David. ³⁵ And so be it, that night, the angel of Yah Veh goes out and smites in the camp of the Ashshuri - a hundred eighty-five thousand: and they start early in the morning, and behold, they are all dead carcases. ³⁶ And Sancherib, sovereign of Ashshur pulls stakes and goes and returns and settles at Nineveh: ³⁷ and so be it, he prostrates in the house of Nisroch his elohim. and his sons Adram Melech and Shareser smite him with the sword: and they escape into the land of Ararat: and Esar Chaddon his son reigns in his stead.

¹¹ scatter the fury of your wrath; see everyone who is pompous and abase him; ¹² see everyone who is pompous and subdue him; and trample the wicked in their place:

¹¹ The lofty eyes of humanity abase, and the haughtiness of men prostrates, and Yah Veh alone is exalted in that day. ¹² For the day of Yah Veh Sabaoth is upon all the pompous and lofty; and upon all the lifted and abased; ¹³ and upon all the cedars of Lebanon - high and lifted up; and upon all the oaks of Bashan; ¹⁴ and upon all the high mountains; and upon all the lifted hills; ¹⁵ and upon every high tower and upon every fortified wall; ¹⁶ and upon all the ships of Tarshish and upon all observations of desire: ¹⁷ and the loftiness of humanity prostrates and the haughtiness of men abases: and Yah Veh alone is exalted in that day.

¹⁶ So Adonay - Adonay Sabaoth sends emaciation among his fatness; and under his honor he burns a burning as the burning of a fire: ¹⁷ and the light of Yisra El is for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and in one day it burns and consumes his thorns and his briers; ¹⁸ and finishes off the honor of his forest and of his orchard/Karmel - both soul and flesh: to become as when an ensignbearer melts: ¹⁹ and the survivors of the trees of his forest become a number, that even a lad can inscribe them.

³⁷ Now I, Nebukadnets Tsar, laud and exalt and esteem the Sovereign of the heavens all whose acts are truth, and his ways plead: and they who walk in arrogance, he is able to abase.

⁹ And I - I desolate the Emoriy at their face, whose height is as the height of the cedars as powerful as the oaks; and I desolate his fruit from above and his roots from beneath.

¹¹ For whoever exalts himself is humbled; and whoever humbles himself is exalted.
