2 And the rabbi slaughterer takes Yirme Yah, and says to him, Yah Veh your Elohim words this evil on this place: 3 Yah Veh brought and worked it as he worded: because you sinned against Yah Veh, and hearkened not to his voice, even this is to you: 4 and now, behold, I loose you this day from the manacles on your hand: if it seems good in your eyes to come with me to Babel, come; and I set my eyes to you: and if it seem evil in your eyes to come with me into Babel, cease: see, all the land is at your face: where it seems good and straight in your eyes to go, go: 5 - and he still replys not - or turn back to Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the sovereign of Babel made overseer over the cities of Yah Hudah; and settle with him among the people: or go wherever it seems straight in your eyes to go. - and the rabbi slaughterer gives him rations and a load/burden and sends him away. 6 And Yirme Yah goes to Gedal Yah the son of Ahikam to Mispeh; and settles with him among the people who survived in the land.

Jeremiah 42:2

2 and say to Yirme Yah the prophet, Accept, we beseech you, our supplication at your face; and pray for us to Yah Veh your Elohim for all these survivors - for only a few from an abundance survive as your eyes see:
