³ O Yah Veh, are not your eyes on trustworthiness? you smite them, and they writhe not; you finish them off, and they refuse to take correction: they toughen their faces as a rock; they refuse to return.

⁹ As for Yah Veh, - his eyes flit throughout the whole earth, strengthened in behalf of them whose heart is at shalom toward him. Herein you folly: from this time on you have wars.

²² and in the time of his distress he adds to treason against Yah Veh - this is that sovereign Achaz:

⁴ Yah Veh is in his holy manse, the throne of Yah Veh is in the heavens; his eyes see; his eyelids proof the sons of humanity. ⁵ Yah Veh proofs the just; and the wicked who love violence his soul hates. ⁶ On the wicked he rains snares - fire and sulphur and a raging wind/spirit; - the allotment of their cup. ⁷ For just Yah Veh loves justness; his face sees the straight.

⁶ Behold, you desire truth in the reins; and in the hidden you have me know wisdom.

²⁹ A wicked man strengthens his face; and the straight establishes his way.

¹² The eyes of Yah Veh preserve knowledge and he perverts the words of them who deal covertly.

³⁵ They smote me, and I was not sick; they hammered me, and I knew it not. When waken I? I seek it again and again.

²² Though you pestle a fool in a pestle among grits with a pestle, yet his folly turns not aside from him.

⁵ Why be smitten any more? You increase revolt; the whole head is sick; and the whole heart bleeds: ⁶ from the sole of the foot to the head there is no integrity therein: - wounds and lashes and dripping wounds - neither squeezed nor bound; nor tenderized with ointment.

¹³ and the people neither turn to him who smites them, nor seek they Yah Veh Sabaoth:

²⁵ So he pours on him the fury of his wrath and the strength of war: and it inflames him on fire round about, yet he knows it not; and it burns him, yet he sets it not to heart.

⁴ Because I know you are hard, and your neck an iron sinew and your forehead copper;

³⁰ In vain I smote your sons; they took no discipline: your own sword devoured your prophets as a ruining lion.

²⁶ yet they neither hearkened to me, nor spread their ear; and hardened their neck: they vilified above their fathers.

²⁸ and say to them, This goyim neither hearkens to the voice of Yah Veh their Elohim, nor takes discipline: trustworthiness destructs; yes, it is cut off from their mouth.

¹⁵ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth, Elohim of Yisra El: Behold, I bring on this city and on all her towns all the evil I worded against it; because they harden their necks to not hear my words.

¹⁹ great in counsel and great in exploits: in that your eyes open on all the ways of the sons of humanity: to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his exploits:

⁷ But the house of Yisra El wills to not hearken to you; for they will to not hearken to me: for all the house of Yisra El is strong foreheaded and hardhearted. ⁸ Behold, I give your face strong alongside their faces and your forehead strong alongside their foreheads: ⁹ as a brier stronger than flint I give your forehead: neither awe them nor dismay at their faces, though they be a rebellious house.

¹³ In your foulness is intrigue: because I purify you; and you purify not: you purify not from your foulness any more until I rest my fury on you.

HO TO YERU SHALEM
Ho to her who rebels and profanes, - the oppressing city! ² She hearkens not to the voice; she takes not discipline; she confides not in Yah Veh; she approaches another Elohim.

⁷ I say, Only, awe me; you, take discipline that I not cut off your habitation from all I visit on her: but they rise early and ruin all their exploits.

¹¹ And they refuse to hearken; and give a revolting shoulder and heavy their ears that they hear not. ¹² Yes, they set their hearts as a brier lest they hear the torah and the words Yah Veh Sabaoth sends his spirit by the hand of the former prophets: and so be it, a great rage from Yah Veh Sabaoth.

² And we perceive that the judgment of Elohim is according to truth against them who transact such.

⁴ Or disesteem you the riches of his kindness and tolerance and patience; not knowing that the kindness of Elohim leads you to repentance? ⁵ But according to your hardness and unrepentant heart you treasure to yourself wrath in the day of wrath and apocalypse of the just judgment of Elohim;

⁹ So indeed we have fathers of our flesh who discipline us and we respect them: and not much rather subjugate to the Father of spirits and live?
