IYOB ANSWERS
And Iyob answers and says, 2 Until when grieve you my soul and crush me with utterances? 3 These ten times you shame me yet you shame not that you injure me. 4 And also, I truly erred inadvertently; my error stays with me. 5 If you truly greaten against me and reprove against my reproach; 6 know now that Elohah twisted me and surrounded me with his lair. 7 Behold, I cry from violence, but no answer; I cry, but no judgment: 8 he walls in my way so I cannot pass; and sets darkness in my paths: 9 he strips me of my honor and turns aside the crown from my head: 10 he pulls me down all around, and I go; and he plucks my hope as a tree: 11 He kindles his wrath against me and fabricates me as one of his tribulators. 12 His troops come together and raise their way against me and encamp around my tent: 13 he removes my brothers from me; and they whom I know are verily estranged from me: 14 my neighbours decease and they whom I know forget me: 15 they who sojourn in my house and my maids fabricate me for a stranger - an alien in their eyes. 16 I call my servant and he answers not; I seek his charism with my mouth: 17 my spirit is strange to my woman and my charism to the sons of my belly: 18 yes, sucklings spurn me; I rise and they word against me: 19 all my private councilmen abhor me and they whom I love turn against me: 20 my bone adheres to my skin and to my flesh and I escape with the skin of my t`eeth. 21 Grant me charism - grant me charism, O my friends; for the hand of Elohah touches me. 22 Why pursue you me as El? - and not satisfied with my flesh? 23 Who gives that my utterances be inscribed? Who gives that they be inscribed in a scroll 24 - hewn eternally with an iron stylus and lead in the rock! 25 I know that my redeemer lives and rises at the latter on the dust; 26 and after my skin becomes stricken, yet in my flesh I see Elohah 27 - see for myself - my eyes see and not a stranger; though my reins finish off within my bosom. 28 But you say, Why pursue we him seeing the root of the word is found in me? 29 Dodge you at the face of the sword? Furious are the perversities of the sword, so that you know there is the plea.
