Job 32 Cross References - ECB

1 And these three men shabbathized from answering Iyob, because he was just in his own eyes. 2
ELI HU KINDLES HIS WRATH
And Eli Hu the son of Barach El the Buziy of the family of Ram kindles his wrath - kindles his wrath against Iyob, because he justifies his soul - rather than Elohim. 3 He also kindles his wrath against his three friends because they find no answer and judge Iyob wicked. 4 And Eli Hu waits until Iyob words, because they are elder than he by days. 5 And Eli Hu sees there is no answer in the mouth of the three men, and kindles his wrath. 6 And Eli Hu the son of Barach El the Buziy answers and says, I am of few days and you are aged; so I fear and awe to show you my knowledge. 7 I say, Days word; and abundance of years make wisdom known. 8 Surely there is a spirit in man; and the breath of Shadday gives discernment. 9 Neither the great enwisen nor the aged discern judgment. 10 So I say, Hearken to me; I also show my knowledge. 11 Behold, I awaited your words; I gave ear to your reasons as you probed utterances: 12 yes, I discerned you; and behold, none of you reproved Iyob or answered his sayings: 13 lest you say, We have found out wisdom; El disperses him - not man. 14 Neither arranged he his utterances against me; nor respond I to your sayings. 15 They are dismayed; they answer no more; they remove from uttering: 16 I await, they word not; but stand still and answer no more. 17 I also answer my allotment; I also show my knowledge: 18 for I am full of utterances, the spirit of my belly distresses me. 19 Behold, my belly - as unopened wine - to split as new skins. 20 I word, and I respire; I open my lips, and answer. 21 I beseech you, that I neither lift the face of humanity, nor give honorary degrees to humanity: 22 for I know not to give honorary degrees; in so doing my Worker shortly lifts me away.

Job 29:11-17

11 When the ear heard, it called me blithesome; and when the eye saw, it gave me witness; 12 because I rescued them who cried - the humble and the orphan and whoever had no helper. 13 The blessing of him who was ready to destruct came on me; and I caused the heart of the widow to shout. 14 I enrobed justness and it enrobed me; my judgment was as a mantle and a turban; 15 I was eyes to the blind and feet to the lame; 16 - a father to the needy. I probed contentions that I knew not; 17 I broke the molars of the wicked and cast the prey from his teeth.

Job 31:1-40

1 I cut a covenant with my eyes; and what - discern I a virgin? 2 What is the allotment of Elohah from above? What is the inheritance of Shadday from the heights? 3 Is not calamity to the wicked? - a strangeness to the doers of mischief? 4 Sees he not my ways? - scribes all my paces? 5 If I walk with vanity or my foot hastens to deceit 6 weigh me in a balance of justness; Elohah knows my integrity. 7 If my step spreads from the way and my heart walks after my eyes; if any blemish adheres to my palms; 8 then have me seed and another eat: yes, uproot my offspring. 9 If a woman enticed my heart or I lurked at the portal of my friend; 10 then have my woman grind to another and others kneel to her. 11 For this is intrigue; yes, a judicial perversity: 12 a fire that consumes to Abaddon and roots out all my produce. 13 If I spurn the judgment of my servant or of my maid when they contend with me 14 What then work I when El rises? When he visits, what respond I? 15 He who worked me in the belly worked he not also him? - that one who prepared us in the womb? 16 If I withhold the poor from their desire, or finish off the eyes of the widow; 17 or eat my morsel myself alone and the orphan eats not; 18 - for as a father he grew up with me from my youth - led her from the belly of my mother. 19 If I have seen any destruct for want of robe or the needy without covering; 20 if neither his loins blessed me nor heated with the fleece of my lambs; 21 if I shook my hand against the orphan when I saw my help in the portal; 22 then may my shoulder fall from the blade and my arm break at the stem: 23 for calamity from El is a dread to me and by reason of his exalting I am not able. 24 If I set gold my hope or said to the ore, My confidence! 25 if I cheer because my valuables are great and because my hand found much; 26 if I see the light when it halals or the moon walking in esteem; 27 and my heart covertly duped or my mouth kiss my hand; 28 this also is a judicial perversity: for I denied El above. 29 If I cheer at the calamity of my hater, or waken when evil finds him; 30 I give not my palate to sin by asking him to oath his soul. 31 If not, men of my tent, say you, Who gives that we have of his flesh - we are not satisfied. 32 The sojourner stayed not overnight in the outways; I opened my doors to the wayward. 33 If I covered my rebellions as humanity by hiding my perversity in my bosom; 34 then I dread a great multitude - and the disrespect of families terrify me - and I hush and go not from the portal. 35 Who gives that someone hear me! Behold, my mark! Shadday, answer me! Man of contention, scribe a scroll! 36 If not, I lift it on my shoulder and fasten it to me as a crown. 37 I tell him my paces; as an eminent I go near him. 38 If my soil cries against me, and the furrows weep together; 39 if I have eaten the produce without silver or caused the masters to expire their soul; 40 may thorns grow instead of wheat and stinkweed instead of barley. The words of Iyob are consummated.

Job 15:34

34 For the witness of profaners sterilizes; and fire consumes the tents of bribery:

Job 22:5-30

5 Is not your evil great? - your perversity endless? 6 Gratuitously you take a pledge from your brother and strip the naked of their clothing: 7 you give the languid no water to drink; you withhold bread from the famished. 8 The man of arm has the earth and the exalted face settles therein: 9 you send widows away empty and crush the arms of the orphan. 10 So snares surround you and sudden dread terrifies you: 11 or darkness, you see not; and abundance of waters cover you. 12 Is not Elohah in the height of the heavens? See the head of the stars - how high! 13 And you say, El knows what? Judges he through the dripping darkness? 14 Thick clouds are his covering that he not be seen; and he walks in the circle of the heavens. 15 Regard you the eternal way which mischievous men have trodden? 16 - who were plucked from time? - whose foundation was poured with a flood? 17 Who says to El, Turn from us? What does Shadday for them? 18 Yet he fills their houses with good; but the counsel of the wicked is far from me: 19 the just see and cheer; and the innocent deride. 20 Surely our opponent is not cut off, and fire consumes them who remain. 21 I beseech, be accustomed with him and shalam; thereby good comes to you. 22 I beseech you, receive the torah from his mouth and set his sayings in your heart. 23 If you return to Shadday, you are built up; remove wickedness far from your tents: 24 so as to set your diggings as dust - as the rocks of the wadies of Ophir. 25 Yes, Shadday becomes your diggings and silver your strengths. 26 For then you have your delight in Shadday - lift your face to Elohah. 27 Intreat to him and he hears you shalam your vows: 28 and cut a saying and it rises to you; and the light illuminates your ways. 29 When abased, say, This is arrogance! - and he saves the downcast eye; 30 he rescues the island of the innocent; it escapes by the purity of your palms.

THE WARNING OF YAH VEH CONCERNING NOT WARNING
And so be it, at the end of seven days, so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 17 Son of humanity, I give you, a watcher to the house of Yisra El: so hear the word at my mouth, and enlighten them from me. 18 In my saying to the wicked, In dying, you die; and you neither enlighten him, nor word to enlighten the wicked from the wicked way he lives; the same wicked dies in his perversity; and I seek his blood at your hand: 19 and if you enlighten the wicked and he neither turns from his wickedness nor from his wicked way, he dies in his perversity; and you rescue your soul. 20 And when the just turns from his justness and works wickedness, and I give a stumblingblock at his face, he dies: because you enlighten him not, he dies in his sin; and the justness he worked is not remembered; and I seek his blood at your hand. 21 And if you enlighten the just, that the just sin not, and he sins not, in living, he lives - because he enlightened; and you rescue your soul. 22
