¹⁵ My brothers cover up as a wadi and as the reservoir of wadies, they pass away;

¹⁹ all my private councilmen abhor me and they whom I love turn against me:

¹¹ my lovers and my friends stand against my plague; my neighbours stand afar off:

⁹ - yes, my man of shalom, in whom I confided, who ate of my bread, greatened his heel against me.

¹² For neither an enemy reproaches me - or I had borne it; nor he who hates me greatens against me; - or I had hid myself from him: ¹³ but you - a man my equal, my chiliarch whom I know. ¹⁴ We sweetened private counsel together - walked to the house of Elohim in conspiracy.

¹⁸ You far removed lover and friend from me and they whom I know into darkness.

⁴ On guard, every man, of his friend and confide not in any brother: for in tripping the heel every brother trips the heel; and every friend walks with talebearers: ⁵ and every man mocks his friend and words not the truth: they teach their tongue to word falsehoods and weary themselves to pervert.

¹⁸ Why becomes my pain perpetual and my wound incurable - refusing to be healed? - altogether to me as a liar, and as waters not trustworthy?

¹⁴ All your lovers forget you; they seek you not: for I smite you with the wound of an enemy; with the chastisement of a cruel one; for the abundance of your perversity; your sins are mighty.

⁵ Neither trust in a friend nor confide in a chiliarch: guard the opening of your mouth from her who lies in your bosom: ⁶ for son disgraces father; daughter rises against her mother; the daughter in law against her mother in law; the enemies of a man are the men of his own house.

¹⁸ I word not concerning you all: I know whom I chose: except to fulfill/shalam the scripture, He who eats bread with me lifts his heel against me. Psalm 41:9
