² And Yaaqov says to his household and to all with him, Turn aside the strange elohim among you and purify and change your clothes: ³ and we rise and ascend to Beth El; and I work there a sacrifice altar to El, who answers me in the day of my tribulation and is with me in the way I go. ⁴ And they give Yaaqov all the strange elohim in their hand and all their noserings in their ears; and Yaaqov buries them under the oak by Shechem:

YAH SHUA CHALLENGES YISRA EL Now awe Yah Veh and serve him in integrity and in truth: and turn aside the elohim your fathers served beyond the river and in Misrayim; and serve Yah Veh:

¹⁵ And the sons of Yisra El say to Yah Veh, We sin! Work to us whatever seems good in your eyes; only, rescue us, we beseech you, this day. ¹⁶ - and they turn aside the elohim of strangers from among them and serve Yah Veh: and his soul shortens for the toil of Yisra El.

³ And Shemu El says to all the house of Yisra El, saying, If you return to Yah Veh with all your hearts, then turn aside the strange elohim and Ashtaroth from among you and prepare your hearts to Yah Veh and serve him only, and he rescues you from the hand of the Peleshethiy. ⁴ Then the sons of Yisra El turn aside Baalim and Ashtaroth and serve Yah Veh only.

⁵⁸ to spread our hearts to him to walk in all his ways and to guard his misvoth and his statutes and his judgments which he misvahed our fathers.

³⁶ spread my heart to your witnesses and not to greed:

⁴ spread not my heart to any evil word - to exploit wicked exploits with men who work mischief - that I not eat of their delicacies.

² - to hearken your ear to wisdom and spread your heart to discernment;

² Take with you words, and turn to Yah Veh: say to him, Bear all perversity and take the goodly: thus we shalam the bulllocks of our lips. ³ Neither Ashshur saves us; nor ride we on horses: nor say we any more to the work of our hands, Our elohim: for in you the orphan is mercied.

⁸ Ephrayim, What have I to do any more with idols? I - I answer and observe him: I am as a green fir tree: from me your fruit is found.

¹⁹ So what say I? That the idol is somewhat? Or that an idol sacrifice is somewhat? ²⁰ But those that the goyim sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to Elohim: and I will that you not become communicants with demons. ²¹ You cannot drink the cup of Adonay and the cup of demons: you cannot partake of the table of Yah Veh and of the table of demons. ^{Malachi 1:7}

¹⁶ And what togetherness has the nave of Elohim with idols? For you are the nave of the living Elohim; exactly as Elohim says, I indwell them and walk among them; and I become their Elohim; and they become my people. ^{Leviticus 26:12, Jeremiah 31:33, Ezekiel El 36:28, Zechariah 13:9 17}
THE CALL TO SET APART
So come out from among them, and be set apart, words Yah Veh, and touch not the impure; and I also receive you, ¹⁸ and become to you, Father and you become to me, sons and daughters, words Yah Veh Sabaoth. ^{Isaiah 52:11, Jeremiah 31:9}

²⁸ So we, taking an unmovable sovereigndom, have charism; through which we minister to Elohim well-pleasingly with awe and reverence: ²⁹ For our Elohim is a consuming fire.
