² And Yah Shua sends men from Yericho to Ay beside Beth Aven on the east of Beth El, and says to them, saying, Ascend and spy the land. - and the men ascend and spy Ay.

⁸ And from there he removes to a mountain east of Beth El and spreads his tent, having Beth El seaward and Ay eastward: and there he builds a sacrifice altar to Yah Veh and calls on the name of Yah Veh.

RACHAB PROTECTS THE SPIES And Yah Shua the son of Nun sends two men from Shittim to spy quietly, saying, Go see the land of Yericho. - and they go, and come to the house of a woman - a whore named Rachab, and lie down there.

⁹ the sovereign of Yericho, one; the sovereign of Ay beside Beth El, one;

¹² And their border on the north edge is from Yarden; and the border ascends to the shoulder of Yericho on the north; and ascends through the mountains seaward; and the exits are at the wilderness of Beth Aven;

⁵ and the Peleshethiy gather to fight Yisra El - thirty thousand chariots and six thousand cavalry - people as the sand on the sea lip in abundance: and they ascend and encamp in Michmash eastward from Beth Aven.

²³ So Yah Veh saves Yisra El that day; and the war passes over to Beth Aven:

³¹ and the sons of Ben Yamin: from Geba at Michmash and Aya and Beth El and in its daughters;

¹⁸ Every fabrication is established by counsel; and with counsels, work war.

⁶ For by counsels, you work war; and in abundance of counsellors, there is salvation.

¹⁵ Though you, Yisra El, whore, and you, O Yah Hudah, neither guilt nor come to Gilgal; neither ascend to Beth Aven nor oath, Yah Veh lives.

¹⁶ Behold, I apostolize you as sheep among wolves: so be thoughtful as serpents, and unadulterated as doves.

¹⁵ So see that you walk precisely - not as unwise, but as wise,
