⁵ And the sons of Yisra El say, Who among all the scions of Yisra El ascends not with the congregation to Yah Veh? For a great oath became concerning him who ascends not to Yah Veh to Mispeh, saying, In deathifying, deathify him.

²⁸ Only naught devoted - that a man devotes to Yah Veh of all he has - from human to animal and of the field of his possession is ever sold or redeemed: all that is devoted becomes a holy of holies to Yah Veh. ²⁹ Naught devoted - devoted by humanity, is redeemed: but in deathifying, is deathified.

²³ Curse you Meroz, says the angel of Yah Veh, in cursing, curse the settlers thereof; because they came not to the help of Yah Veh - to the help of Yah Veh against the mighty.

THE OVERLOOKED SCION OF YISRA EL
And the men of Yisra El oath in Mispeh, saying, No man of us gives his daughter to Ben Yamin to woman.

¹⁸ But we - we cannot give them women of our daughters: for the sons of Yisra El oathed, saying, Cursed - he who gives a woman to Ben Yamin.

⁷ and he takes a yoke of oxen and dismembers them and by the hands of angels, sends them throughout all the borders of Yisra El saying, Whoever goes not after Shaul and after Shemu El, so be it worked to his oxen. And the fear of Yah Veh falls on the people and they go as one man:

¹⁰ Cursed - he who works the work of Yah Veh deceitfully: and cursed - he who withholds his sword from blood.
