¹⁸ The banner of the camp of Ephrayim is seaward according to their hosts: and the hierarch of the sons of Ephrayim is Eli Shama the son of Ammi Hud:

⁵ And now your two sons, Ephrayim and Menash Sheh, birthed to you in the land of Misrayim until I came to you into Misrayim, they are mine; as Reu Ben and Shimon, they are mine:

¹⁴ and Yisra El spreads his right and puts it on the head of Ephrayim the lesser and his left on the head of Menash Sheh - crossing his hands; for Menash Sheh is the firstbirth. ¹⁵ And he blesses Yoseph and says, Elohim, at whose face my fathers Abraham and Yischaq walked, Elohim who tends me all my life long to this day, ¹⁶ the Angel who redeems me from all evil, bless the lads: and call my name on them and the name of my fathers Abraham and Yischaq: and that they spawn as fish into a multitude midst of the earth. ¹⁷ And Yoseph sees that his father put his right on the head of Ephrayim; and it is evil in his eyes: and he upholds the hand of his father to turn it aside from the head of Ephrayim to the head of Menash Sheh: ¹⁸ and Yoseph says to his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstbirth; put your right on his head. ¹⁹ And his father refuses and says, I know, my son, I know: he also becomes a people and he also greatens: but his younger brother becomes greater than he and his seed becomes a fulness of goyim. ²⁰ And he blesses them that day, saying, In you, Yisra El blesses, saying, Elohim sets you as Ephrayim and as Menash Sheh: and he sets Ephrayim at the face of Menash Sheh.

¹⁰ Of the sons of Yoseph: of Ephrayim: Eli Shama the son of Ammi Hud. Of Menash Sheh: Gamli El the son of Pedah Sur.

³² Of the sons of Yoseph: of the sons of Ephrayim: by their generations, by their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, sons of twenty years and upward, all going to hostility;

⁴⁸ On the seventh day Eli Shama the son of Ammi Hud, hierarch of the sons of Ephrayim:

⁵³ and for a sacrifice of shelamim, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs yearling sons: this is the qorban of Eli Shama the son of Ammi Hud.

²² And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephrayim pull stakes by their hosts: and over his host: Eli Shama the son of Ammi Hud.

¹⁷ His majesty is the firstling of his ox and his horns the horns of a reem: with them he butts the people together to the finality of the earth: and they are the myriads of Ephrayim and they are the thousands of Menash Sheh.

²⁶ Ladan his son, Ammi Hud his son, Eli Shama his son, ²⁷ Non his son, Yah Shua his son.

¹ To His Eminence; On Sho-shannim-Eduth/Trumpets of Witness: A Psalm by Asaph. Hearken, O Raah of Yisra El, who drives Yoseph as a flock; who settles among the cherubim; shine forth ² at the face of Ephrayim and Ben Yamin and Menash Sheh; waken your might and come for our salvation.

¹⁸ In hearing, I hear Ephrayim wagging over himself; You disciplined me - disciplined me as a calf not trained: return me, and I return; for you are Yah Veh my Elohim. ¹⁹ Surely after I returned, I sighed; and after I was instructed, I slapped my flank: I shamed, yes, even confounded, because I bore the reproach of my youth. ²⁰ Is Ephrayim my esteemed son? A child of delights? For since I worded sufficient against him, in remembering, I remember him still: so my inwards trouble for him; In mercying, I mercy him - an oracle of Yah Veh.
