⁴ Not for sovereigns, O Lemu El, neither for sovereigns, to drink wine; nor for potentates, intoxicants:

⁹ Drink not wine or intoxicants - you and your sons with you when you go into the tent of the congregation, lest you die - an eternal statute throughout your generations: ¹⁰ so as to separate between holy and between profane and between foul and between pure:

¹² And so be it, he hears this word as he is drinking - he and the sovereigns in the sukkoth/brush arbors; and he says to his servants, Line up! - and they line up against the city.

¹⁶ and they go at noon: and Ben Hadad is drinking himself intoxicated in the sukkoth/brush arbors - he and the sovereigns - the thirty-two sovereigns who help him. ¹⁷ And the lads of the governors of the jurisdictions go first: and Ben Hadad sends them out and they tell him, saying, Men come from Shomeron! ¹⁸ And he says, If they come for shalom, apprehend them alive; and if they come for war, apprehend them alive. ¹⁹ So these lads of the governors of the jurisdictions go from the city; and the valiant after them. ²⁰ And every one smites his man: and the Aramiy flee; and Yisra El pursues them: and Ben Hadad the sovereign of Aram escapes on a horse with the cavalry:

¹⁵ The runners go, hastened by the word of the sovereign and the edict is given in Shushan palace. And the sovereign and Haman sit to drink; and the city Shushan is perplexed.

¹ Wine scorns; intoxicants roar; and whoever errs inadvertently enwisens not.

¹⁷ Blithe - you, O land, when your sovereign is the son of nobles and your governors eat on time - for might and not for drinking!

²² Ho to them, the mighty to drink wine, and men of valour to mix intoxicants:

⁷ And even they, through wine, err inadvertently; and through intoxicants, stagger; the priest and the prophet, through intoxicants, err inadvertently - swallowed by wine: they stagger through intoxicants; they err inadvertently in sight; they waver in judgment. ⁸ For all tables are filled with vomit and dung, without a clean place.

² Bel Shats Tsar, as he tastes the fermentation, says to bring the golden and silver vessels his father Nebukadnets Tsar removed from the manse in Yeru Shalem; for the sovereign and his nobles, his mistresses and his concubines to drink. ³ Then they bring the golden vessels they removed from the manse of the house of Elah at Yeru Shalem; and the sovereign and his nobles, his mistresses and his concubines drink in them. ⁴ They drink fermentation; and laud the elahim of gold and of silver, of copper, of iron, of timber and of stone.

¹¹ Whoredom and wine and juice take away the heart: ¹² my people ask at their trees, and their staff tells them: for the spirit of whoredoms strays them and they whore from under their Elohim:

³ they cheer the sovereign with their evil and the governors with their deceptions: ⁴ they are all adulterers - as an oven burning by the baker who shabbathizes from waking after he kneads the dough, until it leavens. ⁵ In the day of our sovereign the governors stroke him with wine of fury; he draws his hand with scorners:

⁵ Yes also, because he deals covertly by wine; arrogant is the mighty - who rests not in his habitation - who enlarges his soul as sheol; and as death, is never satisfied: and gathers all goyim to himself, and gathers all people to himself.

THE BIRTHDAY SUPPER OF HEROD
And so be it, an opportune day: and on his birthday Herod prepares a supper to his magistrates, chiliarchs and preeminent of Galiyl: ²² and the daughter of Herodias enters and dances; and pleases Herod and those who repose with him. And the sovereign says to the maiden, Ask of me whatever you will, and I give you. ²³ - and he oaths to her, Whatever you ask of me, I give You, to the half of my sovereigndom. ²⁴ And she goes, and says to her mother, What ask I? And she says, The head of Yahn the Baptizer. ²⁵ And straightway she enters with diligence to the sovereign and asks, wording, I will that you give me, immediately on a platter, the head of Yahn the Baptizer. ²⁶ And the sovereign becomes extremely sorrowful; yet for sake of his oath, and for the sakes of them who repose with him, he wills to not set her aside. ²⁷

And straightway the sovereign apostolizes a speculator and orders him to bring his head: and he goes and beheads him in the guardhouse; ²⁸ and brings his head on a platter and gives it to the maiden: and the maiden gives it to her mother:
