⁶ neither the sun smites you by day nor the moon by night.

⁵ Neither awe for the dread of night nor the arrow that flies by day; ⁶ neither for the pestilence that walks in darkness nor for the ruin that devastates at noonday. ⁷ A thousand fall at your side and myriads at your right; but they approach you not. ⁸ But look with your eyes and see the retribution of the wicked. ⁹ Because you, O Yah Veh, my refuge set Elyon your habitation. ¹⁰ Neither evil happens you, nor any plague approach your tent;

¹⁰ they neither famish nor thirst; neither glare nor sun smites them: for he who mercies them, drives them; and by the springs of water he guides them.

⁸ and so be it, when the sun rises, Elohim numbers a vehement east wind; and the sun smites on the head of Yonah so that he languishes; and asks of his soul to die, and says, It is better for me to die than to live.
