² hearken to the voice of my cry, my Sovereign and my Elohim; for I pray to you.

² Yah Veh is my rock and my stronghold and my escape; my El, my rock in whom I seek refuge; my buckler and the horn of my salvation; my secure loft.

² O my Elohim, I call by day, and you answer not; and by night, and am not silent.

⁹ What gain is there in my blood when I descend to the pit of ruin? Does dust spread hands to you? - tell your truth?

²² You see, O Yah Veh; hush not. O Adonay, be not far from me.

¹² Hear my prayer, O Yah Veh; hearken to my cry; hush not at my tears; for I am a sojourner with you - a settler, as all my fathers.

⁹ I say to El my rock, Why forget you me? Why go I darkened because of the oppression of the enemy?

²⁸ Yet face the prayer of your servant and his supplication, O Yah Veh my Elohim, to hearken to the shout and to the prayer your servant prays at your face today: ²⁹ that your eyes be open toward this house night and day - toward the place of which you say, My name is there: to hearken to the prayer your servant prays toward this place: ³⁰ and hearken to the supplication of your servant and of your people Yisra El when they pray toward this place: and hear in the heavens the place of your settlement: and when you hear, forgive.

³⁸ whatever prayer and supplication of any man or of all your people Yisra El or of every human knowing the plague of his own heart and spreads his palms toward this house,

¹³ for Shelomoh worked a copper laver, five cubits long and five cubits wide and three cubits high and gives it midst the court: and he stands thereon and kneels on his knees in front of all the congregation of Yisra El and spreads his palms toward the heavens;

⁷ And as for me, I come into your house in the abundance of your mercy; and in your awe I prostrate toward your holy manse.

⁴ Thus I bless you while I live; I lift my palms in your name:

⁵ as for such as pervert to their crookednesses, Yah Veh walks them with the doers of mischief. Shalom on Yisra El.

² I prostrate toward your holy manse and spread hands to your name - for your mercy and for your truth: for you greatened your saying above all your name.

⁶ I say to Yah Veh, You are my El; hearken, O Yah Veh, to the voice of my supplications:

⁵ Thus says Yah Veh concerning the prophets who stray my people - who bite with their teeth and call out, Shalom; who give not into their mouths, and hallow war against him.

Then the Pharisees go and take counsel on how to ensnare him in words: ¹⁶ and they apostolize their disciples with the Herodians to him, wording, Doctor, we know you are true, and doctrinate the way of Elohim in truth; and you concern not about anyone: for you look not on the face of humanity: ¹⁷ so say to us, What think you? ¹⁰ They guilt, O Elohim; fell them by their own counsels: in the abundance of their rebellions drive them away: for they rebel against you.

¹² The sin of their mouth is the words of their lips - captured in their own pomp; and for oathing and deception which they scribe. ¹³ Finish them off in fury, finish them off, that they are not; and so they know that Elohim reigns in Yaaqov to the finality of the earth. Selah.

¹² and with you, O Adonay, mercy: for you shalam each according to his work.

²² Their table becomes a snare at their face - a snare for their shalom: ²³ their eyes darken that they see not; and they continually waver their loins. ²⁴ Pour your rage on them so that your fuming wrath overtakes them.

¹⁷ As he loves to abase, thus it approaches him; as he delights not in blessing, so be it far from him: ¹⁸ he enrobes abasing as tailoring, thus it enters his inwards as water - as ointment into his bones: ¹⁹ so be it as the clothes that cover him and for a girdle to continually gird: ²⁰ this is for the deeds of my satans from Yah Veh and for them who word evil against my soul. ²¹ But work for me, O Yah Veh Adonay, for sake of your name; because your mercy is good, rescue me.

²¹ So give their sons to the famine and pour them by the hand of the sword; so that their women bereave and become widows; and their men become slaughtered; - their youths smitten by the sword in war. ²² Hear their cry from the houses when you bring a troop suddenly on them: for they dig a chasm to capture me and hide snares for my feet. ²³ Yet, O Yah Veh, you know all their counsel against me - to execute me: neither kapar/atone their perversity nor wipe out their sin from your face; fell them at your face; work thus with them in the time of your wrath.

¹⁰ Thus says Adonay Yah Veh; and so be it, at the same time, words ascend into your heart and you fabricate an evil fabrication:

⁶ who gives back to each according to his works: ⁷ to them indeed, who by endurance in good works, seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility - eternal life: ⁸ but to the rivalrous who indeed distrust the truth but obey injustice, fury and wrath,

²² So perceive the kindness and severity of Elohim: on them who fell, indeed severity; and toward you, kindness - whenever you abide in his kindness: otherwise you also become exscinded;

BEING ON GUARD

¹¹ and you work a reservoir between the two walls for the water of the old pool: and you neither look to the worker, nor see to him who formed it in the distant past.

¹² He worked the earth by his force; he established the world by his wisdom; and spread the heavens by his discernment. ¹³ He gives his voice; there is a multitude of waters in the heavens: and he ascends the vapours from the ends of the earth: he works lightnings with rain and brings forth the wind from his treasures.

⁴ in building, I build you again, O virgin of Yisra El: adorn you again with your tambourines and you come forth in the round dancing of entertainers:

²⁰ who set signs and omens in the land of Misrayim to this day; and in Yisra El and among humanity; and worked a name, as this day; ²¹ and brought forth your people Yisra El from the land of Misrayim with signs and with omens; and with a strong hand and with a spread arm and with great awesomeness;

⁹ Who is wise, and discerns these? Discerns, and knows them? For straight are the ways of Yah Veh and the just walk therein: and the rebels falter therein.

³⁷ But though he does so many signs in front of them yet they trust not in him:

²⁰ For his invisibles from the creation of the cosmos are clearly seen being comprehended by his doings - both his eternal dynamis and divinity; so that they are inexcusable:

²⁸ And exactly as they approve to not regard Elohim in knowledge, Elohim surrenders them to a disapproved mind, to do what is not becoming;

¹⁹ and the exceeding magnitude of his dynamis to us who trust, according to the energizing of his mighty might, ²⁰ which he energized in the Messiah when he raised him from the dead and sat him at his right in the heavenlies, ²¹ far above all hierarchies and authority and dynamis and lordship and every name that is named - not only in this eon but also in the coming:

THE SONG OF HALAL OF DAVID
And David words the words of this song to Yah Veh the day Yah Veh rescues him from the palm of all his enemies and from the palm of Shaul: ² and he says, Yah Veh is my rock and my stronghold and my escape; ³ the Elohim of my rock - in him I seek refuge: my buckler and the horn of my salvation; my secure loft and my retreat; my saviour - you save me from violence. ⁴ I call on Yah Veh - the halaled: and I am saved from my enemies. ⁵ The waves of death surround me; the wadies of Beli Yaal frighten me; ⁶ the cords of sheol surround me; the snares of death confront me: ⁷ in my tribulation I call on Yah Veh and cry to my Elohim. He hears my voice from his manse and my cry is in his ears: ⁸ then the earth shakes and quakes; the foundations of the heavens quake and shake because he inflames. ⁹ Smoke from his nostrils ascend and fire from his mouth consumes: coals burn away by it. ¹⁰ He spreads the heavens and descends; and dripping darkness is under his feet: ¹¹ and he rides on a cherub and flies - and is seen on the wings of the spirit/wind: ¹² and he places darkness - sukkoth/brush arbors all around him; dark waters and thick clouds of vapour. ¹³ Through the brilliancy in front of him coals of fire burn away: ¹⁴ Yah Veh thunders from the heavens and Elyon gives his voice: ¹⁵ he sends arrows and scatters them; lights and agitates them. ¹⁶ The reservoirs of the sea are seen; exposed are the foundations of the world - at the rebuke of Yah Veh - at the breath of the spirit/wind of his nostrils. ¹⁷ He sends from on high; he takes me; he draws me from great waters; ¹⁸ he rescues me from my strong enemy - from them who hate me - for they are too strong for me. ¹⁹ They confront me in the day of my calamity and Yah Veh is my support: ²⁰ he brings me to an expanse; he rescues me; because he delights in me: ²¹ Yah Veh deals me according to my justness: according to the purity of my hands he returns to me. ²² For I guard the ways of Yah Veh and do not wickedly against my Elohim: ²³ for all his judgments are in front of me; and his statutes, I turn not aside from them: ²⁴ and I am integrious to him and guard myself from my perversity. ²⁵ And Yah Veh returns to me according to my justness - according to my purity in front of his eyes. ²⁶ With the merciful you show yourself merciful: with the mighty integrious you show yourself integrious: ²⁷ with the pure you show yourself pure: and with the perverted you show yourself a wrestler. ²⁸ And the humble people you save: but your eyes are on the lofty for you descend them low. ²⁹ For you are my lamp, O Yah Veh; O Yah Veh, illuminate my darkness: ³⁰ for by you I run through a troop; by my Elohim I leap over a wall. ³¹ El - how integrious his way; the sayings of Yah Veh how refined - a buckler to all who seek refuge in him. ³² Who is El, except Yah Veh? ³ And you, O Yah Veh, my buckler, my honor and the lifter of my head.

⁵ And I - I confide in your mercy; my heart twirls in your salvation.

⁹ so my heart cheers and my honor twirls; and my flesh tabernacles confidently. ¹⁰ For you neither forsake my soul in sheol; nor give your Mercied One to see the pit of ruin: ¹¹ you have me know the path of life; at your face is satisfying cheerfulness; at your right are pleasures in perpetuity.
