¹⁴ and they heal the breeching of my people slightly, saying, Shalom! Shalom! when there is no shalom.

¹¹ And they heal the breech of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Shalom! Shalom! when there is no shalom.

⁸ And as one, they are brutish and foolish: the tree is a discipline of vanities.

¹⁷ and if you hear it not, my soul weeps in coverts at the face of your arrogance; and my eye weeps sore and drips with tears, for the drove of Yah Veh is captured. ¹⁸ Say to the sovereign and to the lady, Abase! Sit! - for your headships descend - even the crown of your adornment. ¹⁹ The cities of the south are shut and no one opens: Yah Hudah is exiled - all of her - exiled in shalom. ²⁰ Lift your eyes, and see them coming from the north! ²³ and I shatter the tender and his drove; and with you, I shatter the cultivator and his yoke; and with you, I shatter governors and prefects:

¹⁴ Your prophets see your vanity and your slime; and they expose not your perversity to turn your captivity; but see for you vain burdens and seductions.

⁶ They see vanity and lying divination, saying, - An oracle of Yah Veh! and Yah Veh sent them not: and they hope to confirm the word. ⁷ You saw neither a vain vision, nor a lying divination say, saying, - An oracle of Yah Veh! ⁴ The sons of Yisra El settle for many days with no sovereign and no governor; no sacrifice, no monolith, no ephod, no teraphim:

In gathering, I gather Yaaqov - all of you; in gathering, I gather the survivors of Yisra El; I set them together as the flock of the fold; as the drove among their fold: they quake because of humanity.

⁶ So your night is without a vision and darkness without a divination: and the sun goes down over the prophets and the day darkens over them: ⁷ and the seers shame and the diviners blush: yes, they all cover their upper lip; for there is no answer, O Elohim. ⁸ And I am filled of force by the spirit of Yah Veh; and of judgment and of might to declare to Yaaqov his rebellion and to Yisra El his sin. ⁹ Hear this, I beseech you, you heads of the house of Yaaqov and commanders of the house of Yisra El - who abhor judgment and pervert all straightness ¹⁰ - who build Siyon with blood and Yeru Shalem with wickedness. ¹¹ The heads judge for a bribe and the priests teach for a price, and the prophets divine for silver: yet they lean on Yah Veh, saying, Is not Yah Veh among us? Evil approaches us not!

¹⁸ What profit is the sculptile to the former who sculpts - or the molten, to a teacher of falsehoods, Confides the former of its form to work mute idols?
