2 Corinthians 8 Cross References - EJ2000

1 ¶ Likewise, brethren, we make known unto you the grace of God bestowed on the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Macedonia, 2 how that in a great trial of tribulation the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3 For to their power, I bear record, and even beyond their power they were willing of themselves, 4 praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the grace and take upon us the fellowship of the ministry to the saints. 5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord and then unto us by the will of God. 6 Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete among you the same grace also. 7 ¶ Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith and in word and in knowledge and in all diligence and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 8 I speak not as commanding, but by occasion of the diligence of others and to prove the sincerity of your charity. 9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor that ye through his poverty might be enriched. 10 And in this I give my advice, for this is expedient for you, who began not only to do, but also to be diligent a year ago. 11 Now therefore finish the doing of it that as there was a readiness to will, so there may also be a performance out of that which ye have. 12 For if there is first a willing desire, it is accepted according to what a person has and not according to what they do not have. 13 For I mean not that others be eased and ye burdened, 14 but by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want that their abundance also may be a supply for your want, that there may be equality: 15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over, and he that had gathered little had no lack. 16 ¶ But thanks be to God, who put the same diligence into the heart of Titus for you. 17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, of his own accord he went unto you. 18 And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, 19 and not that only, but who was also ordained by the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord and declaration of your ready desire, 20 avoiding that anyone should blame us regarding this abundance which is ministered by us, 21 providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which we have in you. 23 Regarding Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you; or regarding our brethren, they are the apostles of the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} and the glory of Christ. 24 Therefore show ye unto them before the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, the proof of your charity and of our glorying regarding you.

21 ¶ Therefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or things present or things to come, all are yours;

1 Corinthians 4:7

7 ¶ For who makes thee to judge? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, what dost thou glory of, as if thou hadst not received it?

1 Corinthians 6:12

12 ¶ All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom ye have of God, and that ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 7:6

6 But I speak this by permission, and not by commandment.

1 Corinthians 7:12

12 But to the rest I speak, not the Lord: If any brother has a wife that does not believe, and she consents to dwell with him, let him not put her away.

1 Corinthians 7:17

17 ¶ But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let them walk. And so I ordain in all the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}.

1 Corinthians 7:25

25 ¶ Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord, yet I give my advice, as one that has obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

1 Corinthians 7:40

40 But she shall be more blessed if she so abides, after my counsel, and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

1 Corinthians 8:1-2

1 ¶ Now as concerning things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity edifies. 2 And if anyone thinks that they know anything, they know nothing yet as they ought to know.

1 Corinthians 9:17

17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, the stewardship of the gospel is committed unto me.

1 Corinthians 10:23

23 ¶ All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me, but all things do not edify.

1 Corinthians 12:13

13 For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we are Jews or Greeks, whether we are slaves or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 13:2

2 And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:8

8 ¶ Charity is never lost, but prophecies shall come to an end, tongues shall cease, and knowledge shall come to an end.

1 Corinthians 14:12

12 Even so ye, forasmuch as ye desire the things of the Spirit, earnestly pursue excellence unto the edification of the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}.

1 Corinthians 15:10

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace towards me was not in vain, for I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

1 Corinthians 15:47

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord of heaven.

1 Corinthians 16:1

1 ¶ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Galatia, do ye likewise. 2 Each first sabbath let each one of you set aside in store, as God has prospered him, that there be no collections when I come. 3 And when I come, whomever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

1 Corinthians 16:3

3 And when I come, whomever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem. 4 And if it is appropriate that I go also, they shall go with me.

1 Corinthians 16:15

15 I beseech you, brethren (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia and that they have dedicated themselves to the ministry of the saints),

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 ¶ For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with carnal wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world and more abundantly towards you.

2 Corinthians 2:12

12 ¶ Having come to Troas for the gospel of the Christ, even though a door was opened unto me in the Lord, 13 I had no rest in my spirit because I did not find Titus my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went from there into Macedonia. 14 Now thanks be unto God, who always causes us to triumph in the Christ and makes manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

2 Corinthians 2:17

17 For we are not as many, false merchandisers of the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:5

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your slaves for Jesus’ sake.

2 Corinthians 4:15

15 For we suffer all these things for your sakes that the grace abounding through many may in the thanksgiving redound to the glory of God.

2 Corinthians 5:9-11

9 Therefore we also procure, whether present or absent, that we may please him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive according to that which they have done in the body, good or evil. 11 Therefore being certain of that terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God, and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.

2 Corinthians 5:14-15

14 For the charity of the Christ constrains us because we judge thus: that if one died for all, then all are dead: 15 And that he died for all that those who live should not live from now on unto themselves, but unto him who died and rose again for them.

2 Corinthians 6:6

6 in chastity, in knowledge, in meekness, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in unfeigned charity,

2 Corinthians 6:10

10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

2 Corinthians 7:4

4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you; I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

2 Corinthians 7:6

6 Nevertheless God, who comforts the humble, comforted us by the coming of Titus; 7 and not by his coming only, but by the consolation with which he was comforted in you when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me so that I rejoiced the more.

2 Corinthians 7:12

12 ¶ So that, though I wrote unto you, I did it not only for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

2 Corinthians 7:14

14 For if I have gloried of anything to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, even so our glorying, which I made before Titus, was found true.

2 Corinthians 8:1

1 ¶ Likewise, brethren, we make known unto you the grace of God bestowed on the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Macedonia,

2 Corinthians 8:1-3

1 ¶ Likewise, brethren, we make known unto you the grace of God bestowed on the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Macedonia,

2 Corinthians 8:1-4

1 ¶ Likewise, brethren, we make known unto you the grace of God bestowed on the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Macedonia, 2 how that in a great trial of tribulation the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

2 Corinthians 8:2-3

2 how that in a great trial of tribulation the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

2 Corinthians 8:2-4

2 how that in a great trial of tribulation the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality. 3 For to their power, I bear record, and even beyond their power they were willing of themselves,

2 Corinthians 8:3-3

3 For to their power, I bear record, and even beyond their power they were willing of themselves,

2 Corinthians 8:3-4

3 For to their power, I bear record, and even beyond their power they were willing of themselves, 4 praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the grace and take upon us the fellowship of the ministry to the saints.

2 Corinthians 8:4

4 praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the grace and take upon us the fellowship of the ministry to the saints.

2 Corinthians 8:4-4

4 praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the grace and take upon us the fellowship of the ministry to the saints. 5 And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord and then unto us by the will of God. 6 Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete among you the same grace also.

2 Corinthians 8:6

6 Insomuch that we exhorted Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also complete among you the same grace also. 7 ¶ Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith and in word and in knowledge and in all diligence and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 8 I speak not as commanding, but by occasion of the diligence of others and to prove the sincerity of your charity.

2 Corinthians 8:10

10 And in this I give my advice, for this is expedient for you, who began not only to do, but also to be diligent a year ago. 11 Now therefore finish the doing of it that as there was a readiness to will, so there may also be a performance out of that which ye have. 12 For if there is first a willing desire, it is accepted according to what a person has and not according to what they do not have.

2 Corinthians 8:16-17

16 ¶ But thanks be to God, who put the same diligence into the heart of Titus for you.

2 Corinthians 8:16

16 ¶ But thanks be to God, who put the same diligence into the heart of Titus for you. 17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation, but being more diligent, of his own accord he went unto you. 18 And we have sent with him the brother whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, 19 and not that only, but who was also ordained by the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord and declaration of your ready desire,

2 Corinthians 8:19

19 and not that only, but who was also ordained by the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord and declaration of your ready desire,

2 Corinthians 8:22-23

22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which we have in you. 23 Regarding Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you; or regarding our brethren, they are the apostles of the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} and the glory of Christ. 24 Therefore show ye unto them before the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, the proof of your charity and of our glorying regarding you.

2 Corinthians 9:1

1 ¶ For regarding the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: 2 For I know your ready desire, for which I gloried of you to those of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago, and your zeal has provoked many.

2 Corinthians 9:2-4

2 For I know your ready desire, for which I gloried of you to those of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago, and your zeal has provoked many. 3 Yet I have sent the brethren lest our glorying of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready, 4 lest haply if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed of this our confidence.

2 Corinthians 9:4-4

4 lest haply if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed of this our confidence. 5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would first go unto you and prepare beforehand your blessing, of which ye had given notice before that the same might be ready as a blessing, and not as of covetousness. 6 ¶ But this I say, He who sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly, and he who sows in blessings shall also reap blessings. 7 Each one according as they purpose in their heart, so let them give, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

2 Corinthians 9:7

7 Each one according as they purpose in their heart, so let them give, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound in you that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

2 Corinthians 9:11

11 so that being enriched in everything to all generosity, which works out through us thanksgiving unto God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also abounds in much thanksgiving unto God;

2 Corinthians 9:12-14

12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also abounds in much thanksgiving unto God; 13 that by the experience of this ministration, they glorify God for the obedience of your consent unto the gospel of the Christ and in your liberal distribution unto them and unto everyone,

2 Corinthians 9:13-14

13 that by the experience of this ministration, they glorify God for the obedience of your consent unto the gospel of the Christ and in your liberal distribution unto them and unto everyone, 14 and in their prayer for you, for they love you because of the eminent grace of God in you.

2 Corinthians 9:14

14 and in their prayer for you, for they love you because of the eminent grace of God in you.

2 Corinthians 11:9

9 And when I was present with you and had need, I was not a burden to any of you, for that which was lacking to me was supplied by the brethren which came from Macedonia; and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

2 Corinthians 11:12

12 But what I do, I will continue to do that I may take away the occasion from those who desire it to be found like unto us in that in which they glory.

2 Corinthians 12:1

1 ¶ Certainly it is not expedient for me to glory, but I will come to the visions and the revelations of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 12:18

18 I besought Titus and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus defraud you? Did we not walk in the same Spirit and in the same steps?

2 Corinthians 13:14

14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the charity of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

Galatians 2:10

10 Only they asked that we should remember the poor; the same which I was also diligent to do.

Galatians 4:15

15 Where is then the blessedness ye spoke of? for I bear you record that if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes and have given them to me.

Galatians 6:10

10 Therefore as long as we have the opportunity, let us do good unto everyone, especially unto those who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 1:6-8

7 That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

24 Grace be with all those that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption. Amen.

Philippians 2:20-22

20 For I have no one likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s. 22 But ye know the proof of him, that as a son with the father, he has served with me in the gospel.

Philippians 4:18-19

18 But I have all and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
