²⁹ ¶ And God said, Behold, I have given you every grass bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.

¹⁶ ¶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou may freely eat;

³ Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; even as the green grass I have given you all things.

³¹ For by them he judges the peoples; he gives food to the multitude.

¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.

¹⁴ He causes the hay to grow for the cattle and grass for the service of man, that he may bring forth bread out of the earth ¹⁵ and wine that makes glad the heart of man, making his face to shine with oil and bread which sustains man’s heart.

²⁷ These wait all upon thee, that thou may give them their food in due season. ²⁸ Thou givest unto them, they gather; thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

⁵ Teth He has given sustenance unto those that fear him; Jod He will ever be mindful of his covenant.

¹⁶ The heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth he has given to the sons of Adam.

²⁵ Who gives food to all flesh: for his mercy endures for ever.

¹⁵ Ain The eyes of all wait upon thee, and thou givest them their food in due season. ¹⁶ Pe Thou dost open thine hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

⁷ He who does justice unto the oppressed; who gives bread to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:

⁹ He who gives the beast his food and to the sons of the ravens which cry unto him.

¹⁶ he shall dwell upon the high places: fortresses of rocks shall be his place of refuge: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

⁸ For she did not recognize that I gave her the wheat and the wine and the oil and multiplied unto them the silver and the gold, with which they made Baal.

¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread.

²⁵ ¶ Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than food, and the body than raiment? ²⁶ Behold the fowls of the air, for they sow not, neither do they reap nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are ye not much better than they?

¹⁷ Nevertheless he did not leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.

²⁴ The God that made the world and all the things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; ²⁵ neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he gives to all life and breath and all things

²⁸ for in him we live and move and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also of his lineage.

¹⁷ Charge those that are rich in this world, that they not be highminded, not placing their hope in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
