¹ ¶ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. ² Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And one cried out unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of the hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory. ⁴ And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. ⁵ ¶ Then I said, Woe is me! for I am dead because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of the hosts. ⁶ Then one of the seraphim flew unto me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: ⁷ And he laid it upon my mouth and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips; and it shall take away thy guilt, and thy sin shall be cleansed. ⁸ After this, I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I answered, Here am I; send me. ⁹ ¶ Then he said, Go and tell this people, Hear indeed, but do not understand; and see indeed, but do not perceive. ¹⁰ Make the heart of this people fat and make their ears heavy and blind their eyes that they not see with their eyes, nor hear with their ears, nor understand with their heart, nor convert and there be healing for him. ¹¹ And I said, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities are wasted without inhabitant and not a man in the houses, and the land is turned into desert, ¹² until the LORD has removed men far away, and there is great solitude in the midst of the land. ¹³ But yet in it shall remain a tenth, and it shall return and shall be razed; as the teil tree and as the oak, of which the stump remains alive when they are cut down, likewise in these his stump shall remain holy seed.

¹⁰ and they saw the God of Israel; and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone like unto the heaven when it is clear. ¹¹ But he did not lay his hand upon the princes of the sons of Israel, and they saw God and ate and drank.

⁸ With him I will speak mouth to mouth and by sight not by enigmas; he shall see the similitude of the LORD. Why then were ye not afraid to speak against my slave Moses?

¹⁰ And when the priests came out of the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the LORD. ¹¹ And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

¹⁹ Then he said, Hear thou, therefore, the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne and all the host of the heavens standing by him on his right hand and on his left.

⁷ So Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David; and Jotham, his son, reigned in his stead.

²² Now the rest of the acts of Uzziah, first and last were written by Isaiah, the prophet, the son of Amoz. ²³ So Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the royal burial field, for they said, He is a leper. And Jotham, his son, reigned in his stead.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted in the Gentiles, I will be exalted in the earth.

⁵ Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens and thy glory above all the earth;

⁵ Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high,

¹ ¶ The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

⁴ ¶ And in that day ye shall say, Sing unto the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the peoples, remember how his name is exalted.

¹⁵ For thus has said the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is The Holy One; I dwell in the high place and in holiness and with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit to cause the spirit of the humble to live and to cause the heart of the contrite ones to live.

¹ ¶ Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where shall remain this house that ye built unto me? and where shall remain this place of my rest?

¹ ¶ Now it came to pass at thirty years, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.

²⁵ And there was heard a voice from the heaven that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings. ²⁶ ¶ And above the heaven that was over their heads was the figure of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the figure of the throne was a likeness as the appearance of a man seated upon it. ²⁷ And I saw something that looked like the colour of amber, that appeared to have fire round about within it, which could be seen from his loins upward; and from his loins downward, I saw what looked like fire, and it had brightness round about ²⁸ that looked like the bow of heaven that is in the clouds in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the vision of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And I saw it and fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.

¹ ¶ Then I looked, and, behold, above the heaven that was above the head of the cherubim there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

⁹ ¶ I beheld until thrones were placed, and an Elder of great age did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool: his throne a flame of fire, his wheels burning fire.

³¹ ¶ When the Son of man shall come in his glory and all the holy angels with him, then he shall sit upon the throne of his glory,

¹⁸ No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.

⁴¹ Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory and spoke of him.

²⁰ which operated in the Christ, raising him from the dead and setting him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come,

¹⁶ the only one who has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

²¹ To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with my Father in his throne.

² And immediately I was in the spirit, and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and there was one seated upon the throne.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him that is seated on the throne and worship him that lives for ever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹ ¶ And I saw in the right hand of him that was seated on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

⁷ And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that was seated upon the throne.

¹⁶ and said to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us and hide us from the face of him that is seated upon the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb;

¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that is seated on the throne shall dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun be thrust upon them nor any other heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall govern them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke from the majesty of God and from his power; and no one was able to enter into the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

³ And Abram fell on his face, and God talked with him, saying,

⁶ Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses covered his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.

²⁰ And the cherubim shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the seat of reconciliation with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the seat of reconciliation shall the faces of the cherubim be.

⁹ And the cherubim spread out their wings above, covering with their wings the seat of reconciliation, with their faces one to another; the faces of the cherubim were facing the covering.

²⁴ And one wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub five cubits; from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other were ten cubits.

²⁷ And he set the cherubims within the inner house, and they stretched forth the wings of the cherubims, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.

⁷ For the cherubim had their wings extended over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and its staves from above.

¹³ Which when Elijah heard it, he covered his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the door of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, saying, What doest thou here, Elijah?

⁶ ¶ Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

¹⁸ Behold, he put no trust in his slaves, and his angels he charged with folly.

¹⁵ Behold, he puts no trust in his saints, and not even the heavens are clean in his sight.

¹⁰ And he rode upon a cherub and flew: yea, he flew upon the wings of the wind.

⁷ God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints and to be had in reverence of all those that are about him.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, ye his angels, valiant and strong, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

⁴ who makes his angels spirits, his ministers a flaming fire,

⁶ Then one of the seraphim flew unto me, having a live coal in his hand which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

⁴ ¶ And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, and a great cloud, and a fire enfolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

⁶ And each one had four faces, and four wings.

⁹ With their wings they joined one to another; they did not return when they went; they went each one straight in the direction they were facing.

¹¹ Thus were their faces; and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of each one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.

²⁴ And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of many waters, as the voice of the Almighty, when they went; the voice of the word, as the voice of an army. When they stood, they let down their wings.

¹⁶ And when the cherubim went, the wheels went with them; and when the cherubim lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also did not turn from beside them.

²¹ Each one had four faces, and each one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.

¹⁰ A river of fire issued and came forth from before him; thousands of thousands served him, and ten thousands of ten thousands stood before him; the Judge sat down, and the books were opened.

²¹ I was even yet speaking in prayer, and that man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening sacrifice.

⁴ And the angel answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I have caused thee to be clothed with new raiment.

¹⁰ And the whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the time of incense.

⁷ And of the angels he said, Who makes his angels spirits and his ministers a flame of fire.

⁸ ¶ And the four animals had each of them six wings about him, and they were full of eyes within, and they did not cease day or night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.

¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne and about the elders and the four animals; and they fell upon their faces before the throne and worshipped God,

¹³ And I saw and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, who are yet to sound their trumpets!

⁶ ¶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the eternal gospel that he might evangelize those that dwell on the earth and every nation and kindred and tongue and people,

¹¹ Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, magnificent in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider he has thrown into the sea.

²¹ But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.

¹¹ And they sang, praising and giving thanks unto the LORD because he is good, for his mercy endures for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, praising the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

¹ To the Overcomer,
A Psalm of David. ¶ The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows the work of his hands. ² One day provides a word for the next day, and one night declares wisdom unto the next night. ³ There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

⁷ ¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. ⁸ Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. ⁹ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in. ¹⁰ Who is this King of glory? The LORD of the hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

¹¹ Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name for ever, and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. ¹⁰ ¶ And it shall be in that day that the Root of Jesse, who shall be lifted up as a banner, as an example to the Gentiles shall be sought by the Gentiles; and his Kingdom of peace shall be glorious.

¹⁶ ¶ From the uttermost part of the earth we have heard psalms, Glory to the righteous one. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! The treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously.

⁵ And the glory of the LORD shall be manifested, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the LORD has spoken it.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

⁹ And the LORD shall be king over all the earth; in that day the LORD shall be one, and his name one.

¹⁸ illuminating the eyes of your understanding, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints

³⁴ ¶ Then a cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.

¹⁰ And when the priests came out of the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the LORD. ¹¹ And the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. ¹² ¶ Then Solomon said, The LORD has said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

¹³ And they sounded the trumpets and sang with one voice, all together as one man praising and thanking the LORD, when they lifted up their voice with trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, when they praised the LORD, saying, For he is good, for his mercy endures for ever; and the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD,

⁸ Smoke went up out of his nostrils, and fire devoured out of his mouth; coals were kindled by it.

⁵ And the thunder of the cherubim’s wings was heard even to the outer court as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaks.

¹ ¶ I saw the Lord standing upon the altar, and he said, Smite the threshold and shake the doors and cut the head of them all into pieces; and I will slay the last of them with the sword; there shall be none of them left to flee away or to escape.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple: and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings and earthquakes and great hail.

¹⁰ ¶ Then Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither up until now, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy slave; but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue.

¹² And Moses answered before the LORD, saying, Behold, the sons of Israel do not hearken unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, seeing I am of uncircumcised lips?

³⁰ And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

²⁰ He further said, Thou canst not see my face; for no man shall see me and live.

²² And when Gideon perceived that he was the angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for I have seen the angel of the LORD face to face.

²² And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die because we have seen God.

⁵ With my ears I had heard thee; but now my eyes see thee. ⁶ Therefore, I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.

¹³ Therefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people sacrifice unto me and honour me with their lips, but have removed their heart far from me, and their worship with which they honour me was taught by the commandment of men:

¹⁷ Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.

⁶ Then I said, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I do not know how to speak: for I am a child.

³ And they bend their tongues like their bow for lies, but they are not valiant for the truth upon the earth for they proceed from evil to evil, and they did not recognize me, said the LORD. ⁴ Take heed each one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders. ⁵ And they will deceive each one his neighbour and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies and weary themselves to commit iniquity. ⁶ Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD. ⁷ Therefore thus hath the LORD of the hosts said, Behold, I will melt them and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people? ⁸ Their tongue is as a sharp arrow; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth but in heart he lays in wait.

⁵⁷ And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep an eternal sleep and shall not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of the hosts.

⁶ ¶ And thou, son of man, do not be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, for they are rebels; though thou find thyself among thorns and thy dwelling be with briers, do not be afraid of their words, nor fear before them, for they are a rebellious house. ⁷ And thou shalt speak my words unto them, but they will not hear nor forbear, for they are rebels. ⁸ But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Do not be rebellious like the rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat what I give thee.

³¹ And they shall come unto thee as the people come, and they shall be before thee, my people, and they shall hear thy words, but they shall not do them; for with their mouth they flatter, but their heart goes after their covetousness.

⁶ his body was like the stone of Tarsis turquoise, and his face as a bolt of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to brilliant brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of an army. ⁷ And only I, Daniel, saw that vision: for the men that were with me did not see the vision; but a great fear fell upon them, and they fled and hid themselves. ⁸ Therefore I was left alone and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me, for my strength was turned into dismay, and I retained no strength.

¹⁶ ¶ When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice; rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in my seat, that I might rest in the day of trouble when he comes up unto the people to destroy them.

¹ ¶ And he showed me Joshua the high priest, standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. ² And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD reprehend thee, O Satan; even the LORD that has chosen Jerusalem reprehend thee; is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? ³ Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel. ⁴ And the angel answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I have caused thee to be clothed with new raiment. ⁵ And I said, Let them set a clean mitre upon his head. So they set a clean mitre upon his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by. ⁶ And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying, ⁷ Thus saith the LORD of the hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also govern my house and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee a place among these that are here.

³⁴ O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. ³⁵ The good man out of the good treasure of the heart brings forth good things, and the evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. ³⁶ But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. ³⁷ For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down on his knees before Jesus, saying, Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man. ⁹ For he was overcome with fear, and all that were with him, at the catch of the fishes which they had taken;

¹ ¶ My brethren, make not unto yourselves many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. ² For we all offend in many things. If any man offends not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to govern the whole body with restraint.

⁶ And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our nature; and it is set on fire of hell. ⁷ For every nature of beasts and of birds and of serpents and of beings in the sea may be tamed and is tamed by mankind, ⁸ but no man can tame the tongue, which is an evil that cannot be restrained and is full of deadly poison. ⁹ With it we bless God, even the Father; and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God. ¹⁰ Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

⁵ and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood ⁶ and has made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ⁷ Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye shall see him and those also who pierced him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail over him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword, and his countenance was as the sun when it shines in its strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I AM the first and the last,

¹² After that he shall take the censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the LORD and his hands full of aromatic incense beaten small and bring it inside the veil.

² And he spoke to the man clothed with linen and said, Go in between the wheels under the cherubim and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubim, and scatter them over the city. And he went in, in my sight.

²¹ I was even yet speaking in prayer, and that man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening sacrifice. ²² And he caused me to understand and spoke with me and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to cause thee to understand the interpretation. ²³ At the beginning of thy supplications, the word went forth, and I have come to teach it unto thee; for thou art a man greatly beloved: therefore understand the word, and understand the vision.

¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance, but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear; he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit and fire,

³ And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth in service for the love of those who are the heirs of saving health?

²² And almost all things are by the law purged with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission. ²³ ¶ So that it was necessary that the figures of the heavenly things should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. ²⁴ For Christ is not entered into the sanctuary made with hands (which is a figure of the true), but into the heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us, ²⁵ nor yet that he should offer himself many times (as the high priest enters into the sanctuary each year with blood that is not his own); ²⁶ otherwise it would have been necessary for him to suffer many times since the foundation of the world; but now once in the consummation of the ages he has appeared to abolish sin by the sacrifice of himself.

¹⁰ We have an altar, of which those who serve the tabernacle have no faculty to eat.

³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne. ⁴ And the smoke of the incense of the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand. ⁵ And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar and cast it into the earth; and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake.

²⁵ I, even I, am he that uproots thy rebellions for mine own sake and will not remember thy sins.

⁵ But he was wounded for our rebellions; he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes healing was provided for us.

¹⁰ ¶ With all this the LORD chose to bruise him; subjecting him to grief. When he shall have offered his soul for atonement, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the will of the LORD shall be prospered in his hand.

⁹ Then the LORD put forth his hand and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

¹⁶ And, behold, one like the similitude of the son of man touched my lips; then I opened my mouth and spoke and said unto him that stood before me, O my Lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

² And, behold, they brought him a paralyzed man, lying on a bed; and Jesus, seeing their faith, said unto the paralyzed man, Trust, son; thy sins are forgiven thee.

¹³ For if the blood of bulls and of goats and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of the Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from the works of death to serve the living God?

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have communion with him in the midst of us, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹ ¶ My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye sin not; and if anyone has sinned, we have an Advocate before the Father, Jesus, the righteous Christ; ² and he is the reconciliation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

²⁶ ¶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the beasts and over all the earth and over every serpent that moves upon the earth.

⁸ And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. ⁹ ¶ And the LORD God called unto the man and said unto him, Where art thou? ¹⁰ And he replied, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.

²² ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he put forth his hand and take also of the tree of life and eat and live for ever,

⁷ Now, let us go down and there confound their language that they may not understand one another’s speech.

¹⁰ ¶ Then Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither up until now, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy slave; but I am slow of speech and of a slow tongue. ¹¹ And the LORD said unto him, Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the dumb or the deaf or the seeing or the blind? Am not I the LORD? ¹² Now therefore go and I will be with thy mouth and teach thee what thou shalt say. ¹³ And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

³³ Have a people ever heard the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as thou hast heard, and lived? ³⁴ Or has God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs and by wonders and by war and by a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? ³⁵ Unto thee it was shown that thou mightest know that the LORD he is God; there is no one else other than he. ³⁶ Out of the heavens he made thee to hear his voice that he might instruct thee, and upon earth he showed thee his great fire, and thou hast heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

²⁰ And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said in this manner and another said in that manner.

¹ ¶ I was sought of those that did not ask for me; I was found of those that did not seek me; I said, Here I am, Here I am, unto a people that did not invoke my name.

²⁰ And they straightway left their nets and followed him. ²¹ And going on from there, he saw another two brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets, and he called them. ²² And they immediately left the ship and their father and followed him.

⁴ and falling to the earth, he heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me?

²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear unto myself, only that I might finish my course with joy and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

²¹ And he said unto me, Depart, for I will send thee far from here unto the Gentiles.

¹⁶ But rise and stand upon thy feet, for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen and of those things in which I will appear unto thee; ¹⁷ delivering thee from the people and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee

²⁵ And when they did not agree among themselves, they departed, after Paul had spoken this word, Well spoke the Holy Spirit by Isaiah the prophet unto our fathers, ²⁶ saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see and not perceive; ²⁷ for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them. ²⁸ Be it known, therefore, unto you that this saving health of God is sent unto the Gentiles and that they will hear it.

⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of the Christ

⁷ ¶ Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go, descend; for thy people, which thou didst bring out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: ⁸ They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molten calf and have worshipped it and have sacrificed unto it and said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. ⁹ The LORD further said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and for certain it is a stiffnecked people. ¹⁰ Now therefore let me alone that my wrath may wax hot in them and consume them; and I will put thee over a great nation.

⁸ ¶ Now go, write this vision before them on a tablet and note it in a book that it may remain unto the last day, for ever, unto all ages. ⁹ That this is a rebellious people, lying sons, sons that did not desire to hear the law of the LORD: ¹⁰ Who say to those that see, See not; and to the prophets, Do not prophesy right things unto us, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: ¹¹ Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to leave our presence.

⁸ ¶ Bring forth the people that is blind that have eyes and the deaf that have ears.

¹⁸ They did not know nor understand; for he has anointed their eyes that they not see and their hearts that they not understand. ¹⁹ He does not return to his right mind; he does not have knowledge nor intelligence to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; I have also baked bread upon the coals of it; I have roasted flesh and eaten it and shall I make the residue of it an abomination? Do I have to humble myself before the trunk of a tree? ²⁰ The ashes feed him; his deceived heart inclines him, that he not deliver his soul and say, Is not the lie at my right hand?

¹ ¶ Then the LORD said unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my will would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. ² And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Where shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus hath the LORD said: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.

⁹ Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for ye are not my people, and I will not be your God.

¹⁴ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive; ¹⁵ for this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted, and I should heal them.

¹² that seeing they may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

¹⁰ And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the others in parables that seeing they might not see and hearing they might not understand.

⁴⁰ He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, that they should not see with their eyes nor understand with their heart and be converted, and I should heal them.

²⁶ saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see and not perceive; ²⁷ for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them.

⁸ (according as it is written, God has given them the spirit of anguish, eyes with which they do not see and ears with which they do not hear) unto this day.

³ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh: but the LORD had hardened Pharaoh’s heart, so that he would not let the sons of Israel go out of his land.

¹⁷ And behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians that they shall follow them: and I will be glorified in Pharaoh and in all his host, in his chariots, and in his horsemen.

³⁰ But Sihon, king of Heshbon, would not let us pass by him, for the LORD thy God had hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate that he might deliver him into thy hand as until this day.

¹⁵ ¶ But Jeshurun (the upright one) waxed fat and kicked; (thou art waxen fat, thou art grown thick, thou hast covered thyself) and forsook the God who made him and lightly esteemed the strong One of his saving health.

¹⁰ They are closed in with their own fat; with their mouth they speak proudly.

⁷⁰ Their heart became fat like grease, but I delight in thy law.

²² And the LORD shall smite Egypt; he shall smite and heal it because they shall become converted unto the LORD, and he shall grant them clemency and shall heal them.

¹⁰ For the LORD has extended upon you the spirit of deep sleep and has closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, he has covered the seers with sleep.

¹⁷ O LORD, why hast thou made us to err from thy ways? Hast thou hardened our heart to thy fear? Return for thy slaves, for the tribes of thine inheritance.

²¹ Hear now this, O foolish people and without heart, who have eyes and do not see; who have ears, and do not hear:

¹⁰ To whom shall I speak, and give warning that they may hear? behold, their ears are uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken, behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

⁶ not to many peoples of profound speech nor of hard language, whose words thou can not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee. ⁷ But the house of Israel will not desire to hear; for they do not desire to hear me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted. ⁸ Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead strong against their foreheads. ⁹ As diamond harder than flint I have made thy forehead: do not fear them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house. ¹⁰ Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, all my words that I shall speak unto thee receive in thine heart, and hear with thine ears. ¹¹ And go, and enter in among the captives, unto the sons of thy people, and thou shalt speak unto them, and tell them, Thus hath the Lord GOD said, They will not hear, nor forbear.

¹¹ But they refused to hearken and pulled away the shoulder and stopped their ears that they should not hear.

¹⁵ for this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted, and I should heal them.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness more than the light because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out, for the times of refreshing of the presence of the Lord are come;

²⁷ for the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and should be converted and I should heal them.

¹⁶ to the one we are the savour of death unto death and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

³¹ And I will make your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the aroma of your suave incense.

¹⁰ O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

⁵ How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

¹³ Return unto us, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy slaves.

³ LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

⁷ Your country is desolate; your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.

²⁶ Thy gates shall lament and mourn, and she being desolate shall sit upon the ground.

¹ ¶ Behold, the LORD makes the earth empty and makes it naked and turns it upside down and scatters abroad its inhabitants. ² And it shall be, as with the people so with the priest; as with the slave so with his master; as with the maid so with her mistress; as with the buyer so with the seller; as with the lender so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury so with the giver of usury to him. ³ The land shall be utterly emptied and utterly spoiled: for the LORD has spoken this word. ⁴ The earth has destroyed itself and fallen; the world has become sick and fallen; the haughty peoples of the earth are become sick. ⁵ The earth is also become bankrupt under its inhabitants because they have transgressed the laws, falsified the order, broken the everlasting covenant. ⁶ Therefore the curse has consumed the earth, and those that dwell therein are found guilty; therefore, the inhabitants of the earth are consumed, and few men left. ⁷ The new wine is lost; the vine is sick; all those who were merryhearted sigh. ⁸ The mirth of tambourines ceases; the noise of those that rejoice ends; the joy of the harp ceases. ⁹ They shall not drink wine with a song; the drink shall be bitter to them that would drink it. ¹⁰ The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up that no man may come in. ¹¹ There is a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened; the mirth of the land is gone. ¹² In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction.

⁶⁴ And the LORD shall scatter thee among all the peoples from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone.

¹¹ Now the rest of the people that were left in the city and the fugitives that fell away to the king of Babylon, with the remnant of the multitude, Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, carried away.

²¹ And the king of Babylon smote and slew them at Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was carried away out of their land.

¹⁵ Thou hast added the Gentiles, O LORD, thou hast added the Gentiles: thou hast made thyself glorious: thou hast extended thyself unto all the ends of the earth.

²⁹ The whole city fled from the thunder of the horsemen and bowmen; they went into the thickets of the forests and climbed up upon the rocks; every city was forsaken, and not a man dwells therein.

⁷ ¶ I have forsaken my house, I have left my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies.

⁴ And I will give them over to be sifted by all the kingdoms of the earth because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.

²⁸ This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand and twenty-three Jews: ²⁹ In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty-two persons: ³⁰ In the twenty-third year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty-five persons: all the persons were four thousand six hundred.

²⁰ Why should thou forget us for ever and forsake us for such a long time?

¹ ¶ I say then, Has God cast away his people? No, in no wise. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. ² God has not cast away his people whom he knew beforehand. Know ye not what the scripture says of Elijah? how speaking to God against Israel, he said,

¹⁵ For if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

¹⁸ and in thy seed shall all the Gentiles of the earth be blessed because thou hast hearkened unto my voice.

² for they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, and the holy seed is mingled with the peoples of the lands; and the hand of the princes and of the governors has been foremost in this trespass.

⁷ ¶ For there is yet hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that its tender branch will not cease. ⁸ Though its root waxes old in the earth and its trunk is dead in the ground, ⁹ at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth boughs like a new plant.

⁹ Except the LORD of the hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

³ And it shall come to pass that he that is left in Zion and he that remains in Jerusalem shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem,

²⁰ ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day that those who shall be left of Israel and those who shall be left of the house of Jacob shall no more again stay upon him that smote them, but shall stay upon the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. ²¹ The remnant shall become converted, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God. ²² For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet the remnant of them shall become converted; when the consumption comes to an end, righteousness shall overflow.

⁸ ¶ Thus has the LORD said, As when one has found new wine in a cluster and says, Do not destroy it; for a blessing is in it; so will I do for my slaves’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all. ⁹ And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains; and my elect shall possess the land for an inheritance, and my slaves shall dwell there.

¹⁵ And did he not make one, having in himself abundance of the Spirit? And why one? That he might seek offspring of God. Therefore take heed to your spirit and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.

²² And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

²⁰ And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved, but for the elect’s sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened those days.

¹ ¶ I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. ² Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he shall take away; and every one that bears fruit, he shall purge that they may bring forth more fruit. ³ Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh is the Christ, who is God over all things, blessed for all the ages. Amen.

⁵ Even so then at this present time also, there is a remnant by the gracious election of God. ⁶ And if by grace, then is it not by works; otherwise, the grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, then it is no longer grace; otherwise, the work is no longer work.

¹⁶ For if the firstfruit is holy, so shall the rest be; and if the root is holy, so shall be the branches. ¹⁷ And if some of the branches were broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them and hath been made participant of the root and of the fatness of the olive tree, ¹⁸ do not boast against the branches. But if thou boast, know that thou dost not bear the root, but the root thee. ¹⁹ Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off that I might be grafted in. ²⁰ Good; because of their unbelief they were broken off, but thou by faith art standing. Do not be highminded, but fear ²¹ that if God did not forgive the natural branches, neither shall he forgive thee. ²² Behold, therefore, the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity, but toward thee, goodness if thou continue in his goodness; otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. ²³ And even them, if they do not continue in unbelief, shall be grafted in, for God is powerful enough to graft them in again. ²⁴ For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature and wert grafted contrary to nature into the good olive tree, how much more shall these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? ²⁵ For I would not, brethren, that ye ignore this mystery, that ye not be arrogant regarding yourselves: that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles are come in. ²⁶ And even if all Israel were saved, as it is written: There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall take away the ungodliness from Jacob; ²⁷ and this shall be my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins. ²⁸ So that, as concerning the gospel, I have them for enemies for your sakes; but as touching the election of God, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. ²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

¹⁶ Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He did not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. ¹⁷ And this I say that regarding the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot cancel it, that it should make the promise of no effect. ¹⁸ For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise. ¹⁹ ¶ For what then serves the law? It was added because of rebellions until the seed should come to whom the promise was made, and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

²⁸ Here there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. ²⁹ And if ye are Christ’s, then ye are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
