¹ ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, saying, ² When a man shall have in the skin of his flesh a rising, a scab, or bright spot, and it is in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprosy, then he shall be brought unto Aaron, the priest, or unto one of his sons, the priests, ³ and the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh, and if the hair in the plague is turned white and the plague looks deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall recognize him and pronounce him unclean. ⁴ If the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh and looks to be not deeper than the skin and the hair thereof is not turned white; then the priest shall shut up the one that has the plague seven days; ⁵ and the priest shall look on him the seventh day and see if the plague in his sight is stayed and the plague is not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days the second time. ⁶ After this the priest shall look on him again the seventh day and see if the plague has darkened and that the plague is not spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; it is but a scab, and he shall wash his clothes and be clean. ⁷ But if the scab spreads much abroad in the skin after he has been shown unto the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again; ⁸ and if the priest recognizes that the scab has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is leprosy. ⁹ When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought unto the priest; ¹⁰ and the priest shall see him; and if the rising looks white in the skin and it has turned the hair white and there is quick raw flesh in the rising, ¹¹ it is an old leprosy in the skin of his flesh, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean and shall not shut him up, for he is unclean. ¹² But if the leprosy breaks out abroad in the skin and the leprosy covers all the skin of him that has the plague from his head even to his feet wherever the priest looks, ¹³ then the priest shall consider; and if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce the one that has the plague clean; it is all turned white; he is clean. ¹⁴ But the day that raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean. ¹⁵ And the priest shall see the raw flesh and pronounce him to be unclean, for the raw flesh is unclean: it is leprosy. ¹⁶ But when the raw flesh turns again and is changed unto white, he shall come unto the priest; ¹⁷ and the priest shall see him; and if the plague is turned white; then the priest shall pronounce the one that has the plague clean, and he shall be clean. ¹⁸ ¶ And when in the flesh, in the skin thereof, there was a boil and is healed, ¹⁹ and in the place of the boil there is a white rising or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, it shall be shown to the priest; ²⁰ and the priest shall look, and if it appears to be lower than the skin and the hair thereof is turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil. ²¹ But if the priest considers it and there appear to be no white hairs in it and it is not lower than the skin, but somewhat dark, then the priest shall shut him up seven days; ²² and if it spreads much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean: it is a plague. ²³ But if the bright spot stays in its place and does not spread, it is the scab of a boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean. ²⁴ Likewise when the flesh has in its skin a burn from fire, and in the place healed from the burn there a white bright spot, somewhat reddish, or white, ²⁵ then the priest shall look upon it; and if the hair in the bright spot is turned white and it looks deeper than the skin, it is a leprosy broken out of the burn; and the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is the plague of leprosy. ²⁶ But if the priest looks on it and there is no white hair in the bright spot and it is no lower than the other skin, but dark, then the priest shall shut him up seven days; ²⁷ and the priest shall recognize it the seventh day; and if it is spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is the plague of leprosy. ²⁸ And if the bright spot stays in its place and has not spread in the skin, but it is dark, it is a rising of the burn; and the priest shall pronounce him clean, for it is an inflammation of the burn. ²⁹ If a man or woman has a plague upon the head or the beard, ³⁰ then the priest shall see the plague; and if it looks deeper than the skin and the hair in it is yellowish and thin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a dry scall, leprosy of the head or beard. ³¹ But when the priest looks on the plague of the scall and if it does not look deeper than the skin and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall shut up the one that has the plague of the scall seven days; ³² and in the seventh day the priest shall look on the plague; and if the scall appears not to have spread and there is no yellowish hair in it and the scall appears not to be deeper than the skin, ³³ he shall be shaven, but the place of the scall he shall not shave; and the priest shall shut up the one that has the scall for seven days the second time. ³⁴ And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the scall; and if the scall is not spread in the skin nor in appearance deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; and he shall wash his clothes and be clean. ³⁵ But if the scall spreads much in the skin after his cleansing, ³⁶ then the priest shall look at it; and if the scall is spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellowish hair; he is unclean. ³⁷ But if the scall appears to him to be stayed and there is black hair grown up in it, the scall is healed; he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean. ³⁸ ¶ Likewise if a man or a woman has in the skin of their flesh bright spots, even white bright spots, ³⁹ the priest shall look; and if the bright spots in the skin of their flesh are darkish white, it is a freckled spot that grew in the skin; the person is clean. ⁴⁰ And the man whose hair has fallen off his head is bald; yet he is clean. ⁴¹ And if his hair has fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald; yet is he clean. ⁴² But if in the bald head, or bald forehead, there is a white reddish sore, it is a leprosy sprung up in his bald head, or his bald forehead. ⁴³ Then the priest shall look upon it; and if the rising of the sore is white reddish in his bald head, or in his bald forehead, as the appearance of leprosy in the skin of the flesh, ⁴⁴ he is a leprous man, he is unclean; the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean; his plague is in his head. ⁴⁵ And the leper in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be rent and his head uncovered, and he shall put a covering upon his upper lip and shall cry, Unclean, unclean. ⁴⁶ All the days in which the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled; he shall be unclean; he shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his habitation be. ⁴⁷ ¶ The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it is a woolen garment or a linen garment; ⁴⁸ whether it is in the warp or woof; of linen or of woolen; whether in a skin or in anything made of skin; ⁴⁹ and if the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment or in the skin, either in the warp or in the woof or in any thing of skin, it is a plague of leprosy and shall be shown unto the priest. ⁵⁰ And the priest shall look upon the plague and shut up the thing that has the plague seven days. ⁵¹ And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day; if the plague is spread in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in a skin or in any work that is made of skins; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean. ⁵² He shall therefore burn that garment, whether warp or woof, in woolen or in linen, or anything of skin, in which the plague is; for it is a fretting leprosy; it shall be burnt in the fire. ⁵³ And if the priest shall look and it appears that the plague has not spread in the garment, either in the warp, or in the woof, or in anything of skin, ⁵⁴ then the priest shall command that they wash the thing in which the plague is, and he shall shut it up again for seven days. ⁵⁵ And the priest shall look on it after the plague has been washed; and if it appears that the plague has not changed its colour, even if the plague is not spread, it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; it is fret inward, whether the bare spot is within or without. ⁵⁶ And if the priest looks and the plague appears to be darker after the washing of it, then he shall cut it out of the garment or out of the skin or out of the warp or out of the woof. ⁵⁷ And if it appears again in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in anything of skin, springing up again in it, thou shalt burn whatever the plague is in with fire. ⁵⁸ But the garment, either warp or woof or whatever thing of skin which thou shalt wash and from which the plague is removed, shall be washed the second time, and then it shall be clean. ⁵⁹ This is the law of the plague of leprosy in a garment of woolen or linen, either in the warp or woof or anything of skins, to pronounce it clean or to pronounce it unclean.

⁶ And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Now put thy hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. ⁷ And he said, Put thy hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

³ And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look and seeing that the plague of leprosy is healed in the leper,

³⁵ the one that owns the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, Something like unto a plague has appeared in my house.

⁵⁶ and for a rising and for a scab and for a bright spot,

¹⁰ ¶ And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle, and, behold, Miriam was leprous as the snow; and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous.

¹² Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother’s womb.

⁸ ¶ If a matter arises that is too difficult for thee in judgment between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates, then thou shalt arise and go up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, ⁹ and thou shalt come unto the priests, the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days and enquire, and they shall show thee the word of judgment.

⁸ Keep yourselves from the plague of leprosy that thou observe diligently and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you; as I commanded them, so ye shall take care to do.

²⁷ The LORD will smite thee with the boil of Egypt and with the hemorrhoids and with the scab and with the itch, of which thou canst not be healed.

²⁹ Let it rest on the head of Joab and on all his father’s house and let there not fail from the house of Joab one that has an issue or that is a leper or that leans on a staff or that dies by the sword or that lacks bread.

¹ ¶ Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master and in high esteem because by him the LORD had given salvation unto Syria; he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.

²⁷ The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee and unto thy seed for ever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.

¹⁹ Then Uzziah was angry and had a censer in his hand to burn incense; and in this his anger with the priests, the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the LORD, next to the altar of incense. ²⁰ And Azariah, the chief priest, and all the priests, looked upon him, and, behold, he was leprous in his forehead, and they thrust him out from there, and he also hastened to go out because the LORD had smitten him. ²¹ And Uzziah, the king, was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD; and Jotham, his son, was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

⁶ From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in him; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

¹⁷ Therefore the Lord will make bare the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will uncover that which they are ashamed of.

⁷ For the priest’s lips keep wisdom, and they seek the law at his mouth; for he is an angel of the LORD of the hosts.

⁴ Then Jesus said unto him, See thou tell no one; but go, show thyself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

⁴⁴ and said unto him, See thou say nothing to any man, but go, show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁴ And he charged him to tell no one. But go and show thyself to the priest and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

¹⁴ When he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed.

³ And he retraced his journeys from the side of the Negev even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai,

¹⁰ and this is that ye may discern between the holy and the profane and between the unclean and the clean

³⁰ How inconsistent is thy heart, said the Lord GOD, having done all these things, the work of a powerful harlot:

²³ And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane and teach them to discern between the clean and the unclean.

⁹ Strangers have devoured his strength, and he does not know it; yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he does not understand.

¹¹ Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

¹⁹ And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever thou shalt bind on the earth shall be bound in the heavens, and whatever thou shalt loose on the earth shall be loosed in the heaven.

¹⁷ And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}; but if he neglects to hear the congregation, let him be unto thee as a worldly man and a publican. ¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, Whatever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in the heaven; and whatever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in the heaven.

²³ unto those whose sins ye release, they shall be released; and unto those whose sins ye retain, they shall be retained.

²⁸ Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has placed you as bishops to feed the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

¹⁹ ¶ Now we know that all that the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may submit themselves unto God. ²⁰ For by the deeds of the law, no flesh shall be justified in his sight; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

⁷ ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? No, in no wise. But, I did not know sin except by the law; for neither would I have known lust if the law did not say, Thou shalt not covet.

⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, ⁵ let such a one be delivered unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump?

¹⁴ And if anyone does not hearken unto our word by this epistle, note that one and do not join with him, that he may be ashamed. ¹⁵ Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

²⁰ Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have delivered unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

¹⁶ But avoid profane and vain wordiness, for it will develop into ungodliness. ¹⁷ And that word will eat away as gangrene, of whom are Hymenaeus and Philetus,

¹³ But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

⁷ Remember your pastors, who have spoken unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation:

²³ And I will kill her children with death, and all the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} shall know that I AM he that searches the kidneys and hearts, and I will give unto each one of you according to your works.

¹⁵ So Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days, and the people did not journey until Miriam was brought in again.

¹⁴ then shalt thou enquire and search and ask diligently; and, behold, if it is the truth and the thing certain that such abomination is wrought among you,

¹⁰ ¶ And the Levites that are gone away far from me, when Israel went astray, which went astray away from me after their idols; they shall bear their iniquity.

⁵ Therefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall each one have praise of God.

²⁴ Some men’s sins are manifest beforehand, before they come unto judgment, but to others they follow after.

²⁵ And whoever bears any part of their carcase shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

²⁸ And he that bears their carcase shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean unto you.

⁴⁰ and he that eats of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; likewise he that bears the carcase of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.

⁸ And he that is to be purified shall wash his clothes and shave off all his hair and wash himself with water, and he shall be clean; and after that he shall come into the camp and shall dwell outside of his tent seven days.

⁵ They have corrupted themselves, their spot is that they are not his sons; they are a perverse and crooked generation.

³⁸ every prayer and every supplication made by any man or by all thy people Israel, when anyone knows the plague of his own heart and spreads forth his hands toward this house,

⁴⁵ thou shalt hear in the heavens their prayer and their supplication and do their judgment.

¹² Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.

⁹ ¶ Who shall be able to say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

²⁰ For surely there is not a just man upon earth that in doing good does not sin.

³ and shall make him of quick olfaction in the fear of the LORD; and he shall not judge according to the sight of his eyes, neither reprove according to the hearing of his ears: ⁴ But with righteousness shall he judge the poor and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the spirit of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

³ He shall not break a bruised reed, nor shall he quench the smoking flax; he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.

⁸ Peter said unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me. ⁹ Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. ¹⁰ Jesus said to him, He that is washed needs only to wash his feet because he is completely clean, and ye are clean, but not all.

¹ ¶ Bear with the one who is sick in the faith, but not unto doubtful discernment.

¹ ¶ Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁰ but in foods and drinks and different washings and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of correction.

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts purified from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water;

² For we all offend in many things. If any man offends not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to govern the whole body with restraint.

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have communion with him in the midst of us, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

²² And receive some with mercy, discerning; ²³ And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

²⁷ and the priest shall recognize it the seventh day; and if it is spread much abroad in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is the plague of leprosy.

³⁵ But if the scall spreads much in the skin after his cleansing, ³⁶ then the priest shall look at it; and if the scall is spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellowish hair; he is unclean.

³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

⁵ Why should I chastise you any more? Ye will revolt more and more; every head is sick, and every heart faint. ⁶ From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in him; but wounds, and bruises, and putrefying sores: they have not been closed, neither bound up, neither mollified with ointment.

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. ¹³ Neither present your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin, but present yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. ¹⁴ So that sin shall have no dominion over you; for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

³ and the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh, and if the hair in the plague is turned white and the plague looks deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall recognize him and pronounce him unclean.

⁷ Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, ⁸ This people draws nigh unto me with their mouth and honours me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

²¹ Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter, for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

¹⁸ (For many walk, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross {Gr. stauros – stake} of Christ; ¹⁹ whose end shall be perdition, whose God is their belly and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things).

¹⁹ promising them liberty, being they themselves the slaves of corruption: for he who is overcome by someone is subject to bondage by the one that overcame him.

³ and the priest shall look on the plague in the skin of the flesh, and if the hair in the plague is turned white and the plague looks deeper than the skin of his flesh, it is a plague of leprosy; and the priest shall recognize him and pronounce him unclean. ⁴ If the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh and looks to be not deeper than the skin and the hair thereof is not turned white; then the priest shall shut up the one that has the plague seven days;

¹ ¶ Whosoever loves chastening loves knowledge, but he that hates reproof is carnal.

¹⁰ They hate him that rebukes in the gate, and they abhor him that speaks uprightly.

¹⁹ And this is the condemnation, that the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness more than the light because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

⁷ The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

⁴ Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand over my mouth.

⁶ Therefore, I abhor myself and repent in dust and ashes.

⁶ ¶ But we were all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses as filthy rags; and we all fell as the leaves of a tree; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

⁸ And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of judgment: ⁹ of sin, because they do not believe in me;

¹⁴ ¶ For we now know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold unto subjection by sin.

⁸ ¶ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and there is no truth in us. ⁹ If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. ¹⁰ If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

⁴¹ Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin; but now because ye say, We see, therefore your sin abides.

¹⁴ ¶ For we now know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold unto subjection by sin. ¹⁵ For that which I do, I do not understand, and not even the good that I desire is what I do; but what I hate, that is what I do. ¹⁶ If then I do that which I do not desire, I approve that the law is good. ¹⁷ So that it is no longer I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. ¹⁸ And I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) dwells no good thing; for I have the desire, but I am not able to perform that which is good. ¹⁹ For I do not do the good that I desire; but the evil which I do not desire, that I do. ²⁰ And if I do that which I do not desire, I am not working, but sin that dwells in me. ²¹ So that, desiring to do good, I find this law: evil is natural unto me. ²² For I delight with the law of God with the inward man, ²³ but I see another law in my members which rebels against the law of my mind, bringing captive unto the law of sin which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

¹⁴ And profited in Judaism above many of my equals in my own nation, being exceedingly more zealous of the traditions of my fathers. ¹⁵ But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, ¹⁶ to reveal his Son in me that I might preach him among the Gentiles, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,

⁶ concerning zeal, a persecutor of the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. ⁷ But those things which were gain to me, I counted loss for Christ. ⁸ And doubtless I even count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ

¹³ who was before a blasphemer and a persecutor and injurious, but I was received unto mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. ¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ This is a faithful saying and worthy of acceptation by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first.

⁹ And it shall become dust upon all the land of Egypt, which shall cause boils breaking forth with blisters upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

²⁶ and said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God and wilt do that which is right in his sight and wilt give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the LORD thy Healer.

⁷ And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.

⁷ ¶ So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto the crown of his head.

³ There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. ⁴ For my iniquities are gone over my head; as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me. ⁵ My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. ⁶ I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long. ⁷ For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease, and there is no soundness in my flesh.

²¹ Isaiah then said, Let them take a lump of figs and lay it for a plaster upon the boil and he shall be healed.

⁴⁵ Then it goes and takes with itself seven other spirits worse than itself, and they enter in and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it also be unto this wicked generation.

¹⁴ Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole; sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

²⁰ Certainly, if having separated themselves from the contaminations of the world, by the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they again entangle themselves therein and are overcome, their latter end is made worse for them than the beginnings.

⁵ let such a one be delivered unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

²⁶ Then Judah acknowledged them, and said, She has been more righteous than I because I did not give her to Shelah, my son. And he knew her again no more.

¹³ Then David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also has taken away thy sin; thou shalt not die.

² And Jehu, the son of Hanani, the seer, went out to meet him and said to king Jehoshaphat, Should thou help the ungodly and love those that hate the LORD? Therefore, the wrath of the presence of the LORD shall be upon thee. ³ Nevertheless, good things have been found in thee, in that thou hast burned down the groves of the land and hast prepared thy heart to seek God.

³¹ ¶ For it is of God to say, I have forgiven, I will no longer destroy. ³² Teach me that which I do not see; if I have done iniquity, I will do it no more.

⁴ Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay my hand over my mouth. ⁵ Once I have spoken; but I will not answer; even twice, but I will proceed no further.

¹³ ¶ He that covers his sins shall not prosper, but whosoever confesses and forsakes them shall attain mercy.

⁷⁵ And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, who said unto him, Before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

⁷ So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with too much grief.

¹ ¶ Brethren, if anyone is overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest thou also be tempted.

² so that now the time that remains in the flesh, he might live, not unto the lusts of men, but unto the will of God. ³ For it should suffice us that during the time past of our life we had done the will of the Gentiles, when we conversed in lasciviousness, lusts, drunkenness, gluttony, orgies, and abominable idolatries.

²⁴ And it shall come to pass that instead of sweet perfumes, there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent and instead of well-set hair baldness and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth and burning instead of beauty.

⁴ If the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh and looks to be not deeper than the skin and the hair thereof is not turned white; then the priest shall shut up the one that has the plague seven days;

¹⁸ ¶ And when in the flesh, in the skin thereof, there was a boil and is healed, ¹⁹ and in the place of the boil there is a white rising or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, it shall be shown to the priest; ²⁰ and the priest shall look, and if it appears to be lower than the skin and the hair thereof is turned white; the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprosy broken out of the boil.

⁴ If the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh and looks to be not deeper than the skin and the hair thereof is not turned white; then the priest shall shut up the one that has the plague seven days; ⁵ and the priest shall look on him the seventh day and see if the plague in his sight is stayed and the plague is not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days the second time.

²³ But if the bright spot stays in its place and does not spread, it is the scab of a boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

²⁸ And having taken counsel, the king made two calves of gold and said unto the people, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem; behold thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

²⁹ every prayer and every supplication made of any man, or of all thy people Israel or of anyone who knows his affliction and his grief in his heart, if they shall extend their hands towards this house,

⁴ Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread; they have not called upon God.

⁵ Why should I chastise you any more? Ye will revolt more and more; every head is sick, and every heart faint.

²⁰ Woe unto those that call evil good and good evil; that put darkness for light and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!

¹⁵ The ancient and venerable to look upon is the head; the prophet that teaches lies, he is the tail.

¹¹ the heads thereof judge for bribes, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet they come near unto the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? No evil can come upon us.

²³ But if thine eye is evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If, therefore, the light that is in thee is darkness, how great is that darkness!

¹⁴ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, By hearing ye shall hear and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see and shall not perceive; ¹⁵ for this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart and should be converted, and I should heal them.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues, and the hour will even come when whosoever kills you will think that he does God service. ³ And they will do these things unto you because they do not know the Father, nor me.

³ ¶ I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel and taught according to the truth of the law of the fathers, zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. ⁴ And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

⁹ I verily had thought that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. ¹⁰ Which things I also did in Jerusalem, and I shut up many of the saints in prison, having received authority from the princes of the priests, and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.

³ But if our gospel is hid, it is hid to those that are lost, ⁴ In whom the god of this age has blinded the understanding of those who do not believe, that the light of the gospel of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God, should not shine in them.

¹¹ Therefore, for this cause, God shall send the operation of error in them, that they should believe the lie; ¹² that they all might be condemned who did not believe the truth, but consented to the iniquity.

³⁴ And in the seventh day the priest shall look on the scall; and if the scall is not spread in the skin nor in appearance deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; and he shall wash his clothes and be clean. ³⁵ But if the scall spreads much in the skin after his cleansing, ³⁶ then the priest shall look at it; and if the scall is spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for yellowish hair; he is unclean. ³⁷ But if the scall appears to him to be stayed and there is black hair grown up in it, the scall is healed; he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

⁵⁴ ¶ This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy and scall

³⁰ then the priest shall see the plague; and if it looks deeper than the skin and the hair in it is yellowish and thin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a dry scall, leprosy of the head or beard.

⁵ But they do all their works that they may be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries and enlarge the borders of their garments

⁹ ¶ And he spoke this parable unto some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others: ¹⁰ Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. ¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are: extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. ¹² I fast two meals every sabbath; I give tithes of all that I possess.

²³ Thou that makest thy boast of the law, with rebellion to the law doth thou dishonour God?

¹ ¶ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

²² And receive some with mercy, discerning;

² I know thy works and thy labour and thy patience and how thou canst not bear those who are evil; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not and hast found them liars,

⁷ But if the scab spreads much abroad in the skin after he has been shown unto the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen of the priest again;

²² For I delight with the law of God with the inward man, ²³ but I see another law in my members which rebels against the law of my mind, bringing captive unto the law of sin which is in my members. ²⁴ O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? ²⁵ The grace of God, by Jesus, the Christ, our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

⁴¹ And if his hair has fallen off from the part of his head toward his face, he is forehead bald; yet is he clean.

²³ Then he went up from there unto Bethel, and as he was going up by the way, the young men {or servants} of the city came forth and mocked him, saying, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head.

¹¹ His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy and black as a raven.

² He is gone up to Bajith and to Dibon, the altars, to weep; Moab shall howl over Nebo and over Medeba: every head among her shall become bald, and every beard shall be cut off.

¹⁰ and I will turn your feasts into mourning and all your songs into lamentation; and I will cause sackcloth to be brought up upon all loins and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son and the end thereof as a bitter day.

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

¹⁹ I speak a human thing because of the weakness of our flesh: that as ye presented your members to serve uncleanness and iniquity unto iniquity, likewise now present your members to serve righteousness unto holiness.

¹⁰ ¶ But if Christ is in you, the body is truly dead because of sin, but the Spirit is alive because of righteousness.

¹³ Ye know how through weakness of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

¹⁴ Their soul shall die in youth, and their life is among the male pagan cult prostitutes.

¹ ¶ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who covertly shall bring in destructive sects and shall deny the Lord that bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth shall be blasphemed;

⁸ Look to yourselves, that we not lose those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a fulfilled reward. ⁹ Whosoever rebels and does not abide in the doctrine of the Christ, does not have God. He that abides in the doctrine of the Christ, the same has the Father and the Son. ¹⁰ ¶ If anyone comes unto you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house neither say unto him, Welcome:

²⁹ And Reuben returned unto the cistern; and, behold, Joseph was not inside, and he rent his clothes.

⁶ Then Moses said unto Aaron and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Do not uncover your heads, neither rend your clothes lest ye die and lest wrath come upon the whole congregation; but your brethren, the whole house of Israel, shall lament the burning which the LORD has done.

¹⁰ ¶ And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head nor rend his clothes;

¹⁹ And Tamar put ashes on her head and rent her garment of different colours that was on her and laid her hand on her head and went on crying.

²⁰ ¶ Then Job arose and rent his mantle and shaved his head and fell down upon the ground and worshipped

³ For I acknowledge my rebellion; and my sin is ever before me.

⁵ Behold, the pain of my iniquity has caused me to writhe; my mother conceived me so that sin might be removed from me.

⁵ ¶ Then I said, Woe is me! for I am dead because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of the hosts.

¹¹ Depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from there, touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her; be ye clean, that bear the vessels of the LORD.

²⁵ We lie down in our shame, and our confusion covers us; for we have sinned against the LORD our God, we and our fathers, from our youth even unto this day, and have not hearkened unto the voice of the LORD our God.

²⁴ Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his slaves that heard all these words.

¹⁵ Samech They cried unto them, Depart ye; it is unclean; depart, depart, touch not because they were contaminated; and when they were thrust through, they said among the Gentiles, They shall never dwell here again.

¹⁷ Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind thy turban upon thy head, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet and do not cover thy lips and do not eat the bread of comfort.

²² And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips nor eat the bread of men.

¹³ and rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in mercy, and he does repent of chastisement.

⁷ Then the prophets shall be ashamed, and the diviners confounded; and they shall all cover their lips because they shall have no answer from God.

⁸ When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down on his knees before Jesus, saying, Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.

⁶ Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself, for I am not worthy that thou should enter under my roof; ⁷ therefore neither did I think myself worthy to come unto thee but say the word, and my slave shall be healed.

¹² And as he entered into a certain village, ten men that were lepers met him, who stood afar off

¹ ¶ And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, ² Command the sons of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper and every one that has an issue and anyone who is defiled by the dead. ³ Both male and female shall ye put out; ye shall put them outside the camp; that they not defile the camp of those among whom I dwell. ⁴ And the sons of Israel did so and put them outside the camp; as the LORD spoke unto Moses, so did the sons of Israel.

¹⁴ And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. ¹⁵ So Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days, and the people did not journey until Miriam was brought in again.

³ ¶ And there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate, who said one to another, Why shall we stay here until we die?

⁵ And the LORD smote the king so that he was a leper unto the day of his death and dwelt in a separate house. And Jotham, the king’s son, was over the house, judging the people of the land.

²¹ And Uzziah, the king, was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a separate house, being a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the LORD; and Jotham, his son, was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

¹² There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness.

¹ ¶ Aleph How does the city sit solitary, that was full of people! The great one among the nations is become as a widow; the princess of provinces is become tributary.

⁸ Cheth Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she is removed; all that honoured her despise her because they have seen her nakedness; yea, she sighs and is turned backward.

⁹ ¶ I wrote unto you in an epistle not to associate with fornicators, ¹⁰ yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world or with the covetous or extortioners or with idolaters, for then ye would need to go out of the world. ¹¹ But now I have written unto you not to associate with anyone calling himself a brother if he is a fornicator or covetous or an idolater or a railer or a drunkard or an extortioner; with such a one do not even eat. ¹² For why shall I judge those that are without? do ye not judge those that are within? ¹³ But those that are without, God shall judge. Therefore, put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

⁶ ¶ Now we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walks out of order, and not after the doctrine which ye received of us.

¹⁴ And if anyone does not hearken unto our word by this epistle, note that one and do not join with him, that he may be ashamed.

⁵ perverse disputings of men of corrupt understanding, and destitute of the truth, using piety as a source of gain: from such withdraw thyself.

¹⁵ looking diligently that no one deviate from the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up impede you, and thereby many be defiled, ¹⁶ lest there be any fornicator or profane person as Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

²⁷ And there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean or that works abomination or makes a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

¹⁵ But outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the fornicators and the murderers and the idolaters and whosoever loves and makes a lie.

¹⁶ ¶ Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking and swaggering as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet: ¹⁷ Therefore the Lord will make bare the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will uncover that which they are ashamed of. ¹⁸ In that day the Lord will take away the adornment of their shoes and their hair nets and their crystals, ¹⁹ the chains and the jewels and the bracelets, ²⁰ the bonnets and the ornaments of the legs and the headbands and the powders and the earrings, ²¹ the rings, and nose jewels, ²² the changeable suits of apparel and the mantles and the veils and the crisping pins, ²³ the looking glasses and the fine linen and the hoods and the hairdos. ²⁴ And it shall come to pass that instead of sweet perfumes, there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent and instead of well-set hair baldness and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth and burning instead of beauty.

⁶ Their cloth is unfit to be a garment, neither shall they cover themselves with their works; their works are works of violence, and the work of iniquity is in their hands.

¹⁶ And of thy garments thou didst take and make altars of divers colours and play the harlot thereupon; the like shall not come again, neither shall it be so.

¹² The night is past, and the day is come; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us clothe ourselves with the weapons of light.

²² that ye put off everything concerning the old way of life, that is, the old man who corrupts himself according to deceitful desires,

³ For ye are dead and your life is hid with the Christ in God.

²³ And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.

⁵¹ And he shall look on the plague on the seventh day; if the plague is spread in the garment, either in the warp or in the woof or in a skin or in any work that is made of skins; the plague is a fretting leprosy; it is unclean.

¹¹ Keep thyself, that thou forget not the LORD thy God, to not fulfill his commandments and his rights and his statutes, which I command thee this day,

⁴ Yet thou hast a few persons in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy.

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and if the plague appears to have spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean.

³³ And every earthen vessel into which any of them falls, whatever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break the vessel.

³⁵ And everything upon which any part of their carcase falls shall be unclean: the oven or the chimney shall be broken down, for they are unclean and shall be unclean unto you.

⁴⁴ then the priest shall come in and look; and if the plague appears to have spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house; it is unclean. ⁴⁵ Then he shall break down the house, its stones, and its timbers, and all the mortar of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

²⁵ The graven images of their gods ye shall burn in the fire; thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them nor take it unto thee lest thou be snared therein; for it is an abomination to the LORD thy God. ²⁶ Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house lest thou become an anathema like it, but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is anathema.

²² Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver and the protection of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Go away from here.

¹⁹ In the same manner many who had practiced vain arts brought their books together and burned them before everyone, and they counted the price of them and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver. ²⁰ So the word of God grew mightily and prevailed.

¹³ In thy perverse filthiness thou shalt die because I have cleansed thee, and thou didst not cleanse thyself from thy uncleanness; thou shalt never cleanse thyself again, until I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.

⁴ For it is impossible that those who once received the light and tasted of that heavenly gift and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit ⁵ and likewise have tasted the good word of God and the virtue of the age to come, ⁶ and have backslidden, be renewed again by repentance, crucifying again for themselves the Son of God and putting him to an open shame. ⁷ For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it and brings forth herbs in season for those by whom it is dressed receives blessing from God; ⁸ but that which bears thorns and briers is rejected and is near unto cursing, whose end shall be by fire.

⁹ But he that lacks these things is blind and walks feeling the way with his hand, having forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

¹⁴ The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness has surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with eternal flames?

¹² whose fan is in his hand; and he will thoroughly purge his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the storehouse, but he will burn up the chaff with fire that shall never be quenched.

⁷ But when the king heard of this, he became angry and sent forth his armies and destroyed those murderers and burned up their city.

⁴¹ Then he shall also say unto those who shall be on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels;

⁸ But the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

¹⁰ And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall be restored, and thou shalt be clean.

¹⁴ Then went he down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man of God; and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

² Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.

⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord three times that it might be taken from me.

⁵ and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood
