³⁰ ¶ And having left there, they walked together through Galilee; and he did not wish that anyone should know of it.

²² ¶ And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men; ²³ and they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

²² Pilate said unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus who is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified. ²³ And the governor said, Why, what evil has he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

³¹ And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and rest a while; for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. ³² And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.

⁴³ ¶ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they all wondered at all the things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples, ⁴⁴ Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they did not understand this word, and it was hid from them that they should not understand, and they feared to ask him regarding this.
