¹ ¶ Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy, our brother, unto Philemon, our dearly beloved and fellowlabourer, ² And to our beloved sister, Apphia, and Archippus, our fellowsoldier and to the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} in thy house: ³ Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ⁴ I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, ⁵ hearing of thy charity and faith, which thou hast in the Lord Jesus and toward all saints; ⁶ that the communication of thy faith may become effectual for the knowledge of all the good that is in you by Christ Jesus. ⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in thy charity because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother. ⁸ ¶ Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command thee that which is expedient, ⁹ yet for the sake of charity I rather beseech thee, being such a one as Paul the aged and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds, ¹¹ who in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now is profitable to thee and to me, ¹² whom I send again unto thee; therefore, receive him, as you would receive me. ¹³ I desired to retain him with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel, ¹⁴ but I did not want to do anything without thy counsel, that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly. ¹⁵ Perhaps for this, he departed from you for a season, that thou should have him again forever, ¹⁶ not now as a slave, but above a slave, a brother beloved, especially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord. ¹⁷ If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself. ¹⁸ If he has wronged thee or owes thee anything, put that on my account; ¹⁹ I Paul have written it with my own hand, I will repay it; albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides. ²⁰ Therefore, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord, that thou might refresh my heart in the Lord. ²¹ Having confidence in thy obedience, I have written unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say. ²² In the same manner prepare me also a lodging; for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. ²³ Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus, salutes thee. ²⁴ Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers. ²⁵ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. ⁹ For we are labourers together with God; ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

¹ ¶ Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in all Achaia:

¹ ¶ For this cause I, Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

¹ ¶ I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation with which ye are called,

²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains, that in this I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.

²⁵ Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and companion in labour and fellowsoldier, but your messenger and he that ministered to my needs.

³ And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women who laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also and with my other fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹ ¶ Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

¹¹ and Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, who have been a comfort unto me.

² and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of the Christ, to confirm you and to exhort you in your faith,

¹ ¶ Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, unto the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of the Thessalonians in God our Father and in our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁸ Therefore be not thou ashamed to give testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel by the power of God, ⁹ yet for the sake of charity I rather beseech thee, being such a one as Paul the aged and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Marcus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lucas, my fellowlabourers.

⁵ likewise greet the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia in Christ.

¹⁹ ¶ The congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} that is in their house.

¹⁵ Salute the brethren who are in Laodicea and Nymphas and the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} which is in his house.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Take heed to fulfil the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord.

³ Thou, therefore, work hard as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. ⁴ No man that wars entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.

⁷ to all that are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints; ye have grace and peace of God our Father and of the Lord Jesus, the Christ.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the charity of God and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.

² Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁸ ¶ First, I thank my God through Jesus, the Christ, regarding you all, that your faith is preached in all the world.

¹⁶ cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

³ ¶ I thank my God upon every remembrance of you

³ ¶ We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you

² ¶ We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, ³ We must thank God always for you, brethren, as is due because your faith grows exceedingly, and the charity of each and every one of you toward each other abounds,

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with a pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day,

³ to the saints that are in the earth and to the excellent: all my delight is towards them.

³⁹ Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping and showing the coats and garments which Dorcas had made them while she was with them. ⁴⁰ Then Peter put them all out and knelt down and prayed and turned to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes; and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And he gave her his hand and lifted her up; and calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

¹³ sharing for the needs of the saints, and given to hospitality.

²⁵ But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints. ²⁶ For it has pleased those of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints who are in Jerusalem.

¹ ¶ Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of Galatia, do ye likewise.

⁶ For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor uncircumcision, but faith which works by charity.

¹⁵ ¶ Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and charity unto all the saints,

⁴ since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the charity which ye have toward all the saints,

⁷ For we have great joy and consolation in thy charity because the bowels of the saints have been refreshed by thee, brother.

²³ ¶ And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he has commanded us.

¹ ¶ Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God; and anyone that loves him that begat also loves him that is born of him. ² In this we know that we love the sons of God, when we love God and keep his commandments.

¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.

²⁵ for the secrets of his heart are made manifest; and so falling down on his face, he will worship God, declaring that God is indeed in you.

¹² For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also abounds in much thanksgiving unto God; ¹³ that by the experience of this ministration, they glorify God for the obedience of your consent unto the gospel of the Christ and in your liberal distribution unto them and unto everyone, ¹⁴ and in their prayer for you, for they love you because of the eminent grace of God in you.

⁹ ¶ And this I pray that your charity may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all perception, ¹⁰ that ye may approve the best, that ye may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, ¹¹ being filled with fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

⁸ Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, exercise yourselves in these things.

⁹ ¶ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, asking that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

¹⁴ And let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they not be unfruitful.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of charity which ye have showed in his name, having helped the saints and helping them.

¹⁴ ¶ My brethren, What shall it profit though someone says that they have faith and do not have works? Shall this type of faith be able to save them?

¹⁷ Even so faith, if it does not have works, is dead in and of itself.

⁵ who are kept in the virtue of God by faith, to attain unto the saving health which is made ready to be manifested in the last time. ⁶ ¶ In which ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are afflicted in diverse temptations, ⁷ that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold (which perishes, nevertheless it is tried with fire), might be found unto praise and glory and honour when Jesus, the Christ, is made manifest; ⁸ whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though at present ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory;

¹² and have your honest conversation among the Gentiles, so that, in that which they murmur about you as of evildoers, having witnessed your good works, they may glorify God in the day of visitation.

¹ ¶ Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that also those who do not obey the Word, may be won without a word by the conversation of their wives,

¹⁶ ¶ having a good conscience, so in that which they murmur against you as of evildoers, those that blaspheme your good conversation in the Christ may be confused.

⁸ For if these things are in you and abound, they shall not let you be idle nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you; I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

¹³ Therefore we were comforted in your comfort; yea, and we rejoiced even more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.

³ remembering without ceasing the work of your faith and labour and charity and of waiting with the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ in the sight of our God and Father,

¹³ ¶ For this cause also we thank God without ceasing, that having received from us the word to hear from God, ye received it not as the word of men, (but as it is in truth) the word of God, which effectually works in you that believe.

¹⁹ For what is our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing? Is it not you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?

⁹ For what thanks can we render to God again for you for all the joy with which we joy for your sakes before our God,

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus for he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chain;

²⁰ Therefore, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord, that thou might refresh my heart in the Lord.

⁴ I have rejoiced greatly, for I have found of thy sons that they walk in the truth, as we have received the commandment from the Father.

³ ¶ For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou dost walk in the truth. ⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my sons walk in the truth. ⁵ Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatever thou doest regarding the brethren and with the strangers, ⁶ who have borne witness of thy charity before the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, whom if thou wilt help them as is convenient according to God, thou shalt do well;

¹² ¶ Seeing then that we have such hope, we speak with great confidence,

¹ ¶ Now I, Paul, myself beseech you by the meekness and clemency of the Christ (who in presence am low among you, but being absent am bold toward you) ² but I beseech you that I need not be bold when I am present with that confidence, with which I am esteemed to use against some who regard us as if we walked according to the flesh.

⁸ For though I should glory somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord has given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I shall not be ashamed,

²¹ I speak as concerning the reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit in that in which another is bold, (I speak foolishly), I am bold also.

⁴ neither dishonest words nor foolishness nor low jesting, which are not convenient, but rather giving of thanks.

² but having suffered before and having been shamefully treated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to announce unto you the gospel of God with much diligence.

⁶ nor did we seek glory of men neither of you nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome unto you as the apostles of Christ.

⁹ Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

¹⁸ Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not until I have showed the strength of thy arm unto the next generation and thy power to every one that is to come,

³¹ ¶ Old age is a crown of glory if it is found in the way of righteousness.

⁴ And even to your old age I am he, and even to grey hairs I will carry you; I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will deliver you.

¹ ¶ Therefore, I beseech you brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies in living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing unto God, which is your rational worship.

²⁰ Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did exhort you by us; we beseech you in Christ’s name, be ye reconciled to God.

¹ ¶ We then, as workers together with him, exhort you also that ye have not received the grace of God in vain.

¹⁹ And I beseech you all the more to do this, that I may be restored unto you sooner.

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from the carnal desires which war against the soul

¹ ¶ And David said, Is anyone left of the house of Saul that I may show him mercy for Jonathan’s sake? ² And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy slave is he. ³ And the king said, Is there no one left of the house of Saul that I may show the mercy of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, There remains a son of Jonathan, who is lame on his feet. ⁴ And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar. ⁵ Then King David sent and took him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar. ⁶ Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face and worshipped. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy slave! ⁷ And David said unto him, Fear not; for I will surely show thee mercy for Jonathan, thy father’s sake, and will restore unto thee all the land of Saul, thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

⁵ And the king commanded Joab and Abishai and Ittai, saying, Deal gently for my sake with the young man, even with Absalom. And all the people heard when the king gave all the captains charge concerning Absalom.

³⁷ Let thy slave, I pray thee, turn back again, that I may die in my own city and be buried by the grave of my father and of my mother. But behold thy slave Chimham; let him go over with my lord the king, and do to him what shall seem good unto thee. ³⁸ And the king answered, Chimham shall go over with me, and I will do with him that which shall seem good unto thee, and whatever thou shalt ask of me, that will I do for thee.

¹⁷ And one of the multitude answering, said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, who has a dumb spirit;

¹⁵ For though ye may have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet ye shall not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

¹⁹ ¶ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ is formed in you,

⁹ with Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all the things which are happening here.

² unto Timothy, true son in the faith, Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁴ to Titus, true son in the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus, the Christ, our Saviour.

¹ ¶ But now those that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock. ² For, unto what might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom time was lost?

³⁰ And cast ye the unprofitable slave into the outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

²⁴ for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

³² It was necessary that we should make merry and be glad, for this thy brother was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.

¹⁰ So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable slaves: we have done that which was our duty to do.

¹² They are all gone out of the way; they are together become unprofitable; there is no one that does good, no, not one.

¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

¹⁰ Ye who in the time past were not a people, but are now the people of God, who in the time past had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

⁶ ¶ If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son or thy daughter or the wife of thy bosom or thy friend who is as thine own soul should entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou nor thy fathers have known,

¹¹ And David said to Abishai, and to all his slaves, Behold, my son, who came forth of my bowels, seeks my life; how much more now a son of Jemini? Let him alone, and let him curse, for the LORD has bidden him.

²⁰ Peradventure is Ephraim a precious son unto me? Peradventure is he unto me a delightful child? With all this since I spoke of him, I have remembered him constantly. Therefore my bowels are troubled for him; in tenderness I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

¹⁴ For if ye set men free from their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also set you free; ¹⁵ but if ye do not set men free from their trespasses, neither will your Father set you free from your trespasses.

²¹ ¶ Then Peter came to him and said, Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him? until seven times? ²² Jesus said unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times, but, Until seventy times seven. ²³ Therefore is the kingdom of the heavens likened unto a man who is king who would take account of his slaves. ²⁴ And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him who owed him ten thousand talents. ²⁵ But he not having wherewith to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife and children and all that he had, to make payment. ²⁶ The slave therefore fell down and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. ²⁷ Then the lord of that slave was moved with compassion and loosed him and forgave him the debt. ²⁸ But as the same slave was leaving, he found one of his fellowslaves who owed him a hundred denarius, and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me what thou owest. ²⁹ And his fellowslave fell down at his feet and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. ³⁰ And he would not, but went and cast him into prison until he should pay the debt. ³¹ So when his fellowslaves saw what was done, they were very grieved and came and declared unto their lord all that was done. ³² Then his lord, after he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked slave, I forgave thee all that debt because thou didst beseech me; ³³ was it not also expedient unto thee to have mercy on thy fellowslave even as I had mercy on thee? ³⁴ And his lord was wroth and delivered him to the tormentors until he should pay all that was due unto him. ³⁵ So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you unless from your hearts ye forgive every one his brother their trespasses.

²⁵ And when ye are praying, forgive if ye have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in the heavens will also forgive you your trespasses.

²⁰ And he arose and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and was moved with compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

³² and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another even as God has forgiven you in Christ.

¹⁷ I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, for they have filled your absence.

⁷ ¶ Even as it is right for me to think this of you all because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are joint partakers of my grace.

³⁰ because for the work of the Christ he was near unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.

¹ ¶ Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy, our brother, unto Philemon, our dearly beloved and fellowlabourer,

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that thou dost try the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now have I seen with joy that thy people, who are present here, have given willingly unto thee.

³ Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; as the dew which falls from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.

⁷ Who serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat of its fruit? or who feeds a flock and does not eat of the milk of the flock?

¹⁷ For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, the stewardship of the gospel is committed unto me.

²⁴ Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy, for by faith ye stand.

¹² For if there is first a willing desire, it is accepted according to what a person has and not according to what they do not have.

⁵ Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would first go unto you and prepare beforehand your blessing, of which ye had given notice before that the same might be ready as a blessing, and not as of covetousness.

⁷ Each one according as they purpose in their heart, so let them give, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

⁸ ¶ Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command thee that which is expedient, ⁹ yet for the sake of charity I rather beseech thee, being such a one as Paul the aged and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

² Feed the flock of God which is among you, caring for her, not by force, but willingly; not for shameful lucre, but with willing desire; ³ and not as having lordship over the heritage of the Lord, but in such a manner as to be examples of the flock.

⁵ Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves that ye sold me here, for God sent me before you for life. ⁶ For these two years the famine has been in the land, and yet there are five years in which there shall neither be plowing nor harvest. ⁷ And God sent me before you that you might remain in the earth and that you might be given life by great liberty. ⁸ So now it was not you that sent me here, but God; and he has made me as a father to Pharaoh and lord of all his house and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

²⁰ But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God thought it out unto good, to bring to pass that which we see this day, to give life to many people.

¹⁰ Surely the wrath of man shall cause praise to come unto thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

⁶ And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such was our hope which we clung to for help that we might be free from the presence of the king of Assyria. How shall we escape?

²⁸ to do that which thy hand and thy counsel had determined beforehand must be done.

⁸ But, as for you, desire not to be called Rabbi, for one is your Master, the Christ; and you are all brothers.

¹⁷ Then Ananias went and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared unto thee in the way as thou didst come, has sent me, that thou might receive thy sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

²² For he that is called in the Lord, being a slave, is the Lord’s freeman; likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s slave.

²⁸ So that we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. ²⁹ But as then he that was born according to the flesh persecuted him that was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now.

⁵ Slaves, be obedient to those that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in simplicity of your heart as unto the Christ, ⁶ not to be seen as only pleasing men, but as the slaves of the Christ, doing the will of God from within, ⁷ with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,

²² Slaves, in all things hearken unto your masters according to the flesh, not serving to be seen as those who only please men, but in simplicity of heart, fearing God;

² And those that have faithful masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather serve them better, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. Teach and exhort this.

¹ ¶ Therefore, brethren, saints, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus,

²² Having purified your souls in the obedience of the truth, by the Spirit, in unfeigned brotherly love, love one another with a pure heart fervently, ²³ being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever.

¹ ¶ Whosoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God; and anyone that loves him that begat also loves him that is born of him.

⁴⁰ He that receives you receives me, and he that receives me receives him that sent me.

⁴⁸ But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brothers? ⁴⁹ And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brothers! ⁵⁰ For whosoever shall do the will of my Father who is in the heavens, the same is my brother and sister and mother.

⁵ And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receives me.

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brothers, ye have done it unto me.

¹⁵ And when she was baptized, with her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and abide there. And she constrained us.

²³ Regarding Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you; or regarding our brethren, they are the apostles of the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} and the glory of Christ.

⁶ that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs and of the same body and partakers of his promise in the Christ by the gospel,

¹⁰ I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds,

¹² whom I send again unto thee; therefore, receive him, as you would receive me.

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world that they might be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those that love him?

¹ ¶ The elders who are among you I exhort (I am also an elder with them and a witness of the afflictions of the Christ, and also a participant of the glory that shall be revealed).

³ that which we have seen and heard we declare unto you, that ye also may have communion with us; and truly our communion is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

⁴ ¶ Surely he has borne our sicknesses and suffered our pain: and we considered him stricken, smitten of God, and cast down. ⁵ But he was wounded for our rebellions; he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by his stripes healing was provided for us. ⁶ All we like sheep have become lost; we have turned each one to his own way; and the LORD transposed in him the iniquity of us all. ⁷ He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he did not open his mouth.

¹ ¶ Am I not an apostle? Am I not free? Have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? Are not ye my work in the Lord? ² If I am not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

²¹ The salutation of me, Paul, is with my own hand. ²² If any man does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema. Our Lord has come.

² Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

² Behold, I, Paul, say unto you that if ye become circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

¹¹ ¶ Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with my own hand.

¹⁹ Brethren, if any of you have erred from the truth, and someone should convert him; ²⁰ let that one know, that whosoever causes the sinner to convert from the error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall cover a multitude of sins.

² For if I make you grieve, who is he then that shall make me glad, but the same who is grieved by me?

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you; I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation. ⁵ ¶ For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears. ⁶ Nevertheless God, who comforts the humble, comforted us by the coming of Titus; ⁷ and not by his coming only, but by the consolation with which he was comforted in you when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me so that I rejoiced the more.

⁸ For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

¹ ¶ Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of charity, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, ² fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same charity, unanimous, minding the one thing.

¹ ¶ Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

¹⁹ For what is our hope or joy or crown of rejoicing? Is it not you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? ²⁰ For ye are our glory and joy.

⁷ Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our tribulation and need by your faith; ⁸ for now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks can we render to God again for you for all the joy with which we joy for your sakes before our God,

¹⁷ Listen to your pastors, and do not resist them, for they watch for your souls as those that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief; for that is unprofitable for you.

¹⁷ But whosoever has this world’s goods and sees his brother have need and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how does the charity of God abide in him?

⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my sons walk in the truth.

³ And I wrote this same unto you, lest when I came, I should have grief from those of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

¹⁶ I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

²² And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which we have in you.

¹⁰ I have confidence in you through the Lord that ye will not be otherwise minded, but he that troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.

⁴ And we have confidence in the Lord regarding you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

²³ ¶ And when they had appointed him a day, many came to him into his lodging, to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, procuring to persuade them of that concerning Jesus, the Christ, out of the law of Moses and out of the prophets, from morning until evening.

²⁴ when I leave for Spain, I will come unto you; for I trust to see you on my journey and to be taken there by you, if first I may enjoy your company.

³⁰ ¶ But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Spirit, that ye help me with prayers to God for me, ³¹ that I may be delivered from the disobedient in Judaea and that the offering of my service to the saints in Jerusalem may be accepted, ³² that I may come unto you with joy by the will of God and may be refreshed together with you.

¹¹ ye also helping us with prayer, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

¹⁹ For I know that this shall become my saving health through your prayer and the nourishment of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁵ And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith, ²⁶ that your glorying in Jesus Christ may be more abundant by my coming to you again.

²⁴ But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

²³ Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that ye may be whole. The effectual prayer of the righteous is very powerful.

¹² ¶ Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink, but I trust to come unto you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.

¹⁴ For I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.

⁷ Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

⁷ as ye also learned of Epaphras, our dear fellowservant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ,

¹⁰ Aristarchus, my fellowprisoner, salutes you, and Mark, nephew to Barnabas, (concerning whom ye have received commandments, if he comes unto you, receive him),

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ, salutes you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand firm, perfect and fulfilled in all the will of God.

¹² And considering this, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.

²⁵ And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

¹³ Now when Paul and his company sailed from Paphos, they came to Perga in Pamphylia; then John, departing from them, returned to Jerusalem.

³⁷ And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark. ³⁸ But Paul thought it not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia and did not go with them to the work. ³⁹ And the contention was so sharp between them that they departed asunder one from the other, and so Barnabas took Mark and sailed unto Cyprus;

²⁹ And the whole city was filled with confusion, and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

² And entering into the ship, Adramyttium, we launched, meaning to sail by the coasts of Asia, one Aristarchus, a Macedonian of Thessalonica, being with us.

¹⁴ Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

¹⁰ for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. ¹¹ Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with thee, for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

¹ ¶ Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy, our brother, unto Philemon, our dearly beloved and fellowlabourer, ² And to our beloved sister, Apphia, and Archippus, our fellowsoldier and to the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} in thy house:

⁸ We, therefore, ought to receive such, that we might be fellow workers to the truth.

²⁰ And let the God of peace bruise Satan under your feet quickly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

²³ Gaius my host, and of the whole congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, salutes you. Erastus, the chamberlain of the city, salutes you, and Quartus, a brother.
