¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods I will sing praises unto thee. ² I will worship the temple of thy holiness and praise thy name above thy mercy and thy truth; for thou hast made thy name to be magnificent and raised up thy spoken word above all things. ³ In the day when I called, thou didst answer me and strengthen me with strength in my soul. ⁴ All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hearken unto the spoken words from thy mouth. ⁵ Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD. ⁶ ¶ For the LORD, who is high and lifted up, looks upon the humble, but the proud he does not know. ⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; thou shalt stretch forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies, and thy right hand shall save me. ⁸ The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; thy mercy, O LORD, endures for ever; forsake not the works of thine own hands.

⁶ ¶ I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are sons of the most High.

¹² I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify thy name for evermore. ¹³ For great is thy mercy upon me, and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest part of Sheol.

³ For the LORD is a great God and a great King above all gods.

⁴ For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless the name of his holiness. ² Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

⁴⁶ I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings and will not be ashamed.

³⁴ Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? ³⁵ If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), ³⁶ do ye say of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?

⁵ Then Paul said, I did not know, brethren, that he was the prince of the priests, for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people.

¹⁵ ¶ What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

¹⁹ speaking among yourselves with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and praising the Lord in your hearts,

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth in service for the love of those who are the heirs of saving health?

²⁹ that thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there that thou may hearken unto the prayer which thy slave shall make in this place. ³⁰ Therefore, thou shalt hearken unto the supplication of thy slave and of thy people Israel when they shall pray in this place and hear in thy dwelling place, from the heavens; please hear and forgive.

⁷ ¶ But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear I will worship toward thy holy temple.

² Hear the voice of my supplications when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the oracle of thy holiness.

⁵ ¶ Thy mercy, O LORD, reaches unto the heavens, and thy truth reaches unto the clouds. ⁶ Thy righteousness is like the mountains of God; thy judgments are a great deep; O LORD, thou dost preserve man and beast.

⁴ In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

¹⁰ In God I will praise his word; in the LORD I will praise his word.

¹⁰ Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

¹⁵ But thou, O Lord, art a merciful and gracious God, longsuffering and plenteous in mercy and truth.

¹ Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. ¶ I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations. ² For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever in the heavens; in them thou shalt establish thy truth.

⁵ Exalt ye the LORD our God and worship at the footstool of his feet, which is holy.

⁹ Exalt the LORD our God and worship at the mountain of his holiness, for the LORD our God is holy.

⁴ Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name. ⁵ For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

¹ ¶ Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy and for thy truth.

²¹ The LORD, jealous for his righteousness, will magnify the law and enlarge it.

⁷ ¶ I will mention the mercies of the LORD and the praises of the LORD according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us and the greatness of his goodness toward the house of Israel, which he has bestowed on them according to his mercies and according to the multitude of his mercies.

¹⁰ Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he entered into his house; and with the windows open toward Jerusalem in his dining chamber, he knelt three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he was used to doing before.

¹⁸ Who is a God like unto thee that pardons iniquity, and passes over the rebellion with the remnant of his heritage? He did not retain his anger for ever because he delights in mercy. ¹⁹ He will turn again, he will have mercy on us; he will subdue our iniquities; and will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. ²⁰ Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the times of old.

¹⁸ For verily I say unto you, Until heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law until all is fulfilled.

³⁵ The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

⁶⁸ Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and made redemption for his people ⁶⁹ And has raised up a horn of saving health for us in the house of his servant David, ⁷⁰ as he spoke by the mouth of the saints who from the beginning were his prophets; ⁷¹ salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all that hate us; ⁷² to fulfill mercy unto our fathers and remembering his holy covenant

¹⁷ For the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth of God came through Jesus, the Christ.

³⁵ If he called them gods unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),

⁸ Now I say that Christ Jesus, was a minister of the circumcision, by the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers; ⁹ but that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name.

⁶ In my distress I called upon the LORD and cried unto my God; he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

¹⁴ Wait for the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, for the LORD.

⁷ The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song I will praise him.

¹¹ The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people in peace.

⁴ Daleth I sought the LORD, and he heard me and delivered me from all my fears. ⁵ He They looked unto him and were lightened, and their faces were not ashamed. ⁶ Vau This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.

A Psalm of Asaph. ¶ I cried unto God with my voice, even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me. ² In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; my sore bled in the night and ceased not; my soul refused to be comforted.

² Behold, O God my saving health, I will trust and not be afraid for JAH, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he also is become saving health unto me.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint; and to those that have no might he increases strength. ³⁰ The young men faint and are weary; the children stumble and fall; ³¹ but those that wait for the LORD shall have new strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

¹⁰ ¶ Do not fear for I am with thee; do not be dismayed, for I am thy God, who strengthens thee; I will help thee always; I will always uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

²⁴ And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

¹² And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

⁸ For this thing I besought the Lord three times that it might be taken from me. ⁹ And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather glory in my weaknesses that the power of Christ may dwell in me. ¹⁰ Therefore I am content in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake, for when I am weak, then am I strong.

¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man,

¹⁰ ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

¹¹ strengthened with all might, according to the power of his glory unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness,

¹⁰ ¶ But the God of all grace, who has called us unto his eternal glory by Jesus, the Christ, after ye have suffered a little while, he himself perfects, confirms, strengthens, and establishes you.

²² ¶ I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation I will praise thee.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the LORD; and all the families of the Gentiles shall worship before thee.

¹³ Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

³⁰ ¶ I will praise the name of God with a song and will magnify him with praises. ³¹ This also shall please the LORD better than the sacrifice of an ox or bullock that struggles with horns and hoofs. ³² The humble shall see this and be glad; seek God and thy heart shall live.

¹⁸ Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not until I have showed the strength of thy arm unto the next generation and thy power to every one that is to come,

¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; all Gentiles shall serve him.

¹⁵ So the Gentiles shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory

²² when the people are gathered together as one and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.

²³ And kings shall be thy nursing fathers and their princesses thy nursing mothers: they shall bow down to thee with their face toward the earth and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: for those that wait for me shall not be ashamed.

³ And the Gentiles shall walk to thy light, and the kings to the brightness of thy birth. ⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about and see: they all gather themselves together; they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. ⁵ Then thou shall see, and thou shall shine, and thine heart shall marvel, and be enlarged because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the strength of the Gentiles shall have come unto thee.

¹⁶ Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of the kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet, and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are reduced unto our Lord and to his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

²⁴ And the Gentiles that have been saved shall walk in the light of her; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honour into her.

¹¹ Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, magnificent in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

¹⁸ Then he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory. ¹⁹ And he replied, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name that I AM before thee; and I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and will show clemency on whom I will show clemency.

⁵ His glory is great in thy saving health; honour and beauty hast thou laid upon him.

¹ ¶ In the year that king Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. ² Above it stood the seraphims; each one had six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. ³ And one cried out unto another and said, Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of the hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory.

⁷ ¶ How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace, that brings good tidings of good, that publishes saving health, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigns! ⁸ The voice of thy watchmen! They shall lift up the voice; together they shall rejoice: for they shall see eye to eye, how the LORD shall return to bring again Zion. ⁹ Sing praises, rejoice together, ye waste places of Jerusalem: for the LORD has comforted his people, he has redeemed Jerusalem. ¹⁰ The LORD has made bare the arm of his holiness before the eyes of all the Gentiles; and all the ends of the earth shall see the saving health of our God.

¹⁴ Behold, my slaves shall rejoice by the joy of their heart, but ye shall cry for the sorrow of your heart and shall howl for the destruction of spirit.

¹⁰ Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: be filled with joy with her, all ye that mourn for her: ¹¹ That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the splendour of her glory. ¹² For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream; then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees. ¹³ As a man child whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And ye shall see, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like grass; and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his slaves and his indignation toward his enemies.

¹¹ For the LORD has ransomed Jacob, and redeemed him from the hand of him that was stronger than he. ¹² Therefore they shall come and do praises in the height of Zion and shall run unto the goodness of the LORD, unto the bread, and unto the wine, and unto the oil, and unto the gain of the flock and of the herd and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.

¹⁴ ¶ Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout with joy O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ The LORD has taken away thy judgments; he has cast out thine enemy; the LORD is king of Israel in the midst of thee; thou shalt not see evil any more.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same, my name is great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense is offered unto my name, and a clean offering; for my name is great among the Gentiles, said the LORD of the hosts.

⁵ Say unto the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King comes unto thee, meek and sitting upon an ass and a colt the foal of a beast under yoke. ⁶ And the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them ⁷ and brought the ass and the colt and put on them their clothes, and he sat upon them. ⁸ And a very great multitude spread their garments in the way; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them in the way. ⁹ And the people that went before and that followed, cried out, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

³⁷ And when he was come near, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen, ³⁸ saying, Blessed be the King that comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

³¹ ¶ Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man clarified, and God is clarified in him. ³² If God is clarified in him, God shall also clarify him in himself and shall straightway clarify him.

¹ ¶ Jesus spoke these words and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour is come; clarify thy Son, that thy Son may also clarify thee,

⁶ For the God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts to bring forth the light of the knowledge of the clarity of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved;

¹² so that we should be to the praise of his glory, those of us who first trusted in the Christ.

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and virtue; for thou hast created all things, and by thy will they have their being and were created.

¹² saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to take power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth and such as are upon the sea and all that are in it, saying, Blessing and honour and glory and power, be unto him that is seated upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four animals said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worshipped him that lives for ever and ever.

¹² saying, Amen: The blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honour and the power and the might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

¹ ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of a great company in the heaven, saying, Halelu-JAH; Salvation and glory and honour and power unto the Lord our God;

¹¹ Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods; for in the thing in which they dealt proudly he prevailed against them.

⁷ The LORD makes poor and makes rich; he brings low and lifts up. ⁸ He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the beggar from the dunghill to set them among princes and to make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he has set the world upon them.

¹¹ Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath; and behold every one that is proud and bring him down. ¹² Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

⁵ Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high, ⁶ who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth!

² Thou knowest my sitting down and my rising up, thou dost understand my thoughts from afar.

³⁴ Surely he scorns the scorners; but he gives grace unto the humble.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁷ And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low; and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁵ For thus has said the high and lofty One that inhabits eternity, whose name is The Holy One; I dwell in the high place and in holiness and with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit to cause the spirit of the humble to live and to cause the heart of the contrite ones to live.

² For all these things my hand has made, by my hand has these things been, said the LORD; but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit and trembles at my word.

² Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyre, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because thy heart has lifted thee up and thou hast said, I am God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas (yet thou art man, and not God); and thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God: ³ behold, thou art wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: ⁴ with thy wisdom and with thine intelligence thou hast gotten thee riches and hast gotten gold and silver into thy treasures: ⁵ by the greatness of thy wisdom in thy trafficking thou hast multiplied thy riches, and thine heart is lifted up because of thy riches: ⁶ therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God, ⁷ behold, therefore I will bring strangers upon thee, the strong ones of the Gentiles, and they shall draw their swords against the beauty of thy wisdom, and they shall defile thy brightness. ⁸ They shall bring thee down to the pit, and thou shalt die of the death of those that are slain in the midst of the seas. ⁹ Wilt thou yet say before him that slays thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and not God, in the hand of him that slays thee.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and build up and glorify the King of heaven because all his works are truth, and his ways judgment: and he is able to humble those that walk with arrogance.

²⁰ But when his heart made itself arrogant, and his spirit hardened itself in pride, he was deposed from the throne of his kingdom, and they took his glory from him: ²¹ and he was driven from among the sons of men; and his heart was put with the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they made him eat grass like an ox, and his body was bathed with the dew of heaven until he understood that the most high God takes rule of the kingdom of men and that he appoints over it whomever he will. ²² And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this; ²³ but hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou and thy princes, thy wives and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; furthermore, thou hast praised gods of silver and of gold, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone, which do not see, nor hear, nor know; and the God in whose hand is thy soul and whose are all thy ways, thou hast never honoured. ²⁴ Then from his presence was sent the palm of the hand that sculpted this writing.

⁴¹ Then he shall also say unto those who shall be on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels;

⁴⁸ for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden; for, behold, from now on all generations shall call me blessed.

⁵¹ He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. ⁵² He has put down the mighty from their thrones and exalted the humble. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things, and the rich he has sent empty away.

¹¹ For whosoever exalts himself shall be abased, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

¹⁴ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for anyone that exalts himself shall be humbled, and he that humbles himself shall be exalted.

²² And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of god, and not of man. ²³ And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him because he did not give God the glory, and he expired eaten of worms.

⁹ who shall be punished with eternal destruction by the presence of the Lord and by the glory of his power,

⁶ But he gives greater grace. Therefore he says, God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.

⁵ ¶ Likewise, young people, be subject to the elders in such a manner that you are all subject to one another. Be clothed with humility of will, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. ⁶ Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time,

¹⁵ Though he slay me, yet I will trust in him; but I will defend my ways before him.

²⁵ For I know that my redeemer lives and that he shall rise at the latter day over the dust; ²⁶ and afterward from this, my stricken skin and from my own flesh, I must see God:

⁷ Show thy mercy to be marvellous, O Saviour of those who put their trust in thee, from those that rise up against thy right hand.

³⁵ In the same manner thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand will hold me up, and thy meekness shall multiply me.

⁶ ¶ Now know I that the LORD has kept his anointed; he will hear him from the heavens of his holiness with the saving valour of his right hand.

³ He restores my soul: he leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff shall comfort me.

¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ Plead my cause, O LORD, with those that strive with me; fight against those that fight against me. ² Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up in my help. ³ Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against those that persecute me; say unto my soul; I am thy saving health.

⁷ All that hate me congregate together and murmur against me; against me do they devise my hurt. ⁸ A disease of Belial, they say, cleaves fast unto him, and now that he lies he shall rise up no more.

³ For they did not get the land in inheritance by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them, but thy right hand and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance because thy delight was in them.

⁵ Through thee will we push down our enemies; through thy name will we tread under those that rise up against us. ⁶ For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. ⁷ But thou hast saved us from our enemies and hast put to shame those that hated us.

The silent dove in a distant land, Michtam of David, when the Philistines took him in Gath. ¶ Be merciful unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; he oppresses me fighting me daily. ² My enemies would daily swallow me up, for they are many that fight against me, O thou most High.

⁹ When I cry unto thee, then shall my enemies be turned back; in this I know that God is for me.

⁵ That thy beloved may be delivered, save with thy right hand and hear me.

⁷ ¶ But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. ⁸ So they shall make their own council and agreements to fall upon themselves; all that see them shall flee away.

¹⁰ For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast refined us as silver is refined. ¹¹ Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins. ¹² Thou hast placed a man over our head; we went through fire and through water, but thou didst bring us out into abundance.

²⁰ Thou who hast caused me to see great and sore troubles, shalt return and quicken me and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. ²¹ Thou shalt increase my greatness and comfort me on every side.

¹⁰ And I said, This is my infirmity, but I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

⁶ Wilt thou not give us life again that thy people may rejoice in thee?

⁴⁹ ¶ ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy slave, in which thou hast caused me to wait. ⁵⁰ ¶ This is my comfort in my affliction; for thy spoken word has caused me to live.

¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ Blessed be the LORD my strength, who trains my hands for the battle and my fingers for the war: ² My mercy and my fortress; my high tower and my deliverer; my shield and he in whom I trust, who subdues my people under me.

²⁵ Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he has stretched forth his hand against them and has smitten them; and the mountains trembled, and their carcasses were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

¹² the Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

¹⁷ Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall he have mercy on their fatherless and widows, for every one is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaks folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

²¹ Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh; and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

⁴ They shall bow down among the prisoners, and they shall fall among the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

¹⁶ For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for by me is the spirit covered by the body, and I have made the souls.

²⁵ Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, said the LORD, which destroys all the earth; and I will stretch out my hand upon thee and roll thee down from the rocks and will make thee a burnt mountain.

⁸ Do not rejoice against me, O my enemy; for if I have fallen, I shall arise; if I sit in darkness, the LORD is my light. ⁹ I will bear the indignation of the LORD because I have sinned against him, until he has judged my cause and executed my judgment; he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness. ¹⁰ Then she that is my enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her who said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? my eyes shall behold her: now she shall be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

³³ Therefore being raised up by the right hand of God and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this which ye now see and hear.

³ Is it good unto thee that thou should oppress, that thou should reject the work of thine hands and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?

⁸ ¶ Thine hands have formed me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.

¹⁵ Then thou shalt call, and I will answer thee; thou wilt have a desire towards the work of thine hands.

² I will cry unto God most high, unto God that performs all things for me.

⁶ By thee have I been sustained from the womb; thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels; my praise has been continually of thee. ⁷ I am as a wonder unto many, but thou art my strong refuge. ⁸ Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy glory all the day. ⁹ Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength fails.

¹⁷ O God, thou hast taught me from my youth and until now; I shall manifest thy wondrous works. ¹⁸ Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not until I have showed the strength of thy arm unto the next generation and thy power to every one that is to come,

³ Know ye that the LORD he is God; it is he that has made us and not we ourselves; we are his people and the sheep of his pasture.

⁵ For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endures to all generations.

¹⁷ But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon those that fear him, and his righteousness unto the children’s children,

¹ ¶ O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good; for his mercy endures for ever.

¹² ¶ LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also hast wrought in us all our works.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will cause them to walk in paths that they have not known; I will make darkness light before them and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them and not forsake them.

²¹ This people I have formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.

³⁹ and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever for the good of them and of their sons after them: ⁴⁰ and I will make an eternal covenant with them, that I will not turn away from doing them good, and I will put my fear in their hearts that they shall not depart from me.

² Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he shall take away; and every one that bears fruit, he shall purge that they may bring forth more fruit.

¹⁰ For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

²⁸ And we now know that unto those who love God, all things help them unto good, to those who according to the purpose are called to be saints. ²⁹ ¶ For unto those whom he knew beforehand, he also marked out beforehand the way that they might be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ And unto those whom he did mark out beforehand the way, to these he also called; and to whom he called, these he also justified; and to whom he justified, these he also glorified.

⁶ being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Faithful is he that has called you, who will also do it.

³ ¶ Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, the Christ, who according to his great mercy has begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus, the Christ, from the dead, ⁴ unto the incorruptible inheritance that cannot be defiled and that does not fade away, conserved in the heavens for you, ⁵ who are kept in the virtue of God by faith, to attain unto the saving health which is made ready to be manifested in the last time.

¹⁹ Therefore, let those that are afflicted according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls unto him as unto a faithful Creator, doing good.

¹ ¶ Jude, slave of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those that are called, sanctified in God the Father, and preserved in Jesus Christ:
