¹⁹ Thou hast known my reproach and my shame and my dishonour; my adversaries are all before thee.

² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his anointed, saying, ³ let us break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from us. ⁴ He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

⁶ But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men and despised of the people. ⁷ All those that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

⁹ Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my groaning is not hid from thee.

⁷ Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame has covered my face. ⁸ I am become a stranger unto my brethren and an alien unto my mother’s sons. ⁹ For the zeal of thy house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

³ He is despised and rejected among men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with weakness; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I do not have a demon; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.
