¹² He that overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more, and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God which is the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from and with my God, and I will write upon him my new name.

²¹ And he stood up the pillars in the porch of the temple. And when he had set up the right pillar, he called the name of it Jachin; {Heb. The LORD establishes}; and in standing up the left pillar, he called its name Boaz. {Heb. Only in Him is there strength}

⁸ ¶ As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of the hosts, in the city of our God; God will establish it for ever. Selah.

³ Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.

⁴ ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.

⁷ He that has an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}; To him that overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprasus; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. ²¹ And the twelve gates are twelve pearls; in each one, one; each gate was of one pearl; and the street of the city was pure gold, as shining glass. ²² And I saw no temple in her; for the Lord God Almighty is her temple, and the Lamb. ²³ And the city had no need of the sun neither of the moon to shine in her, for the clarity of God has illuminated it, and the Lamb is its lamp. ²⁴ And the Gentiles that have been saved shall walk in the light of her; and the kings of the earth shall bring their glory and honour into her. ²⁵ And her gates shall never be shut by day; for there shall be no night there. ²⁶ And they shall bring the glory and the honour of the Gentiles into it. ²⁷ And there shall in no wise enter into it anything unclean or that works abomination or makes a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

⁴ and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
