¹ ¶ And after these things I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth that no wind should blow upon the earth nor upon the sea nor upon any tree. ² And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, having the seal of the living God: and he cried out with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the land and the sea, ³ saying, Hurt not the land neither the sea nor the trees until we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads. ⁴ And I heard the number of those that were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the sons of Israel. ⁵ Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. ⁶ Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. ⁹ After this I saw, and, behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and peoples and tongues stood before the throne and before the Lamb clothed with long white robes and palms in their hands ¹⁰ and cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation unto him who is seated upon the throne of our God and unto the Lamb. ¹¹ And all the angels stood round about the throne and about the elders and the four animals; and they fell upon their faces before the throne and worshipped God, ¹² saying, Amen: The blessing and the glory and the wisdom and the thanksgiving and the honour and the power and the might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. ¹³ ¶ And one of the elders responded and asked me, Who are these who are arrayed in long white robes? and where did they come from? ¹⁴ And I said unto him, lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation and have washed their long robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that is seated on the throne shall dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun be thrust upon them nor any other heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall govern them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters, and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹² And he shall raise up a banner, as an example for the Gentiles and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

³ I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest the enemy visit it, I will keep it night and day.

⁸ In measure, she shall be chastised in her stalks: he stays his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

³⁶ And upon Elam I will bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation where the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

² and thou son of man, thus hath the Lord GOD said unto the land of Israel: The end, the end comes upon the four corners of the land.

⁹ Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the spirit, prophesy, son of man, and say to the spirit, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Come from the four winds, O spirit, and breathe upon these slain, and they shall live.

² Daniel spoke and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven fought the great sea.

⁸ And the he goat made himself very great, and when he was at his greatest strength, that great horn was broken; and in its place came up another four marvellous ones toward the four winds of heaven.

⁴ ¶ But the LORD caused a great wind to rise up in the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship thought she would be broken.

¹⁸ ¶ Then I lifted up my eyes and saw and behold four horns. ¹⁹ And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. ²⁰ And the LORD showed me four carpenters.

¹ ¶ And I turned and lifted up my eyes and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains, and those mountains were of brass.

²⁶ And he said unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then, awake, he rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. ²⁷ But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this that even the winds and the sea obey him!

³¹ And he shall send his angels with a trumpet and a great voice, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

²⁷ And then shall he send his angels and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth unto the uttermost part of the heaven.

¹ ¶ After these things I looked, and, behold, an open door in heaven, and the first voice which I heard, was like a trumpet that spoke with me, saying, Come up here, and I will show thee the things that need to be done after these. ² And immediately I was in the spirit, and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and there was one seated upon the throne. ³ And he that was seated was like a jasper and a sardine stone to look upon; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. ⁴ And round about the throne were twenty-four thrones, and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. ⁵ And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices; and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. ⁶ And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal, and in the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four animals full of eyes in front and behind.

⁶ And I heard a voice in the midst of the four animals, which said, A choenix of wheat for a denarius and three choenix of barley for a denarius; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

³ saying, Hurt not the land neither the sea nor the trees until we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads.

⁴ And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth neither any green thing neither any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God in their foreheads.

¹⁴ saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, Loose the four angels who are bound in the great river Euphrates.

²⁶ For what is all flesh that it should hear the voice of the living God that speaks out of the midst of the fire, as we heard, and live?

²⁶ Then David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that overcomes this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should dishonour the armies of the living God?

³⁶ Whether it was a lion or a bear thy slave would kill it, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he has dishonoured the armies of the living God.

⁴ Peradventure, the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria, his master, has sent to reproach the living God and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God has heard; therefore, lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.

⁶ Set me as a seal upon thine heart as a sign upon thine arm; for love is strong as death; jealousy is hard as Sheol; the coals thereof are coals of fire, which have a most vehement flame.

¹ ¶ Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me; and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, and the angel of the covenant, whom ye desire: behold, he comes, said the LORD of the hosts.

² But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness be born, and in his wings he shall bring saving health; and ye shall go forth and jump like calves of the herd.

⁶³ But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou art the Christ, the Son of God.

²⁷ Labour not for the food which perishes, but for the food which abides unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you, for him has God the Father sealed.

³⁰ ¶ And when forty years were expired, the angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush. ³¹ When Moses saw it, he wondered at the vision; and as he drew near to consider it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, ³² saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled and dared not to behold.

²² who has also sealed us and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

¹³ In whom ye also trusted, hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your saving health; in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of the promise,

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God with which ye are sealed for the day of redemption.

⁹ For they themselves tell of us what an entrance we had unto you and in what manner ye were converted to God from idols to serve the living and true God

¹⁹ ¶ Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows those that are his. And, Let every one that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

²² but ye are come unto Mount Sion and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

³ ¶ Blessed is he that reads and those that hear the words of this prophecy and keep those things which are written therein, for the time is at hand.

² And I saw a strong angel preaching with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book and to loose its seals?

³ saying, Hurt not the land neither the sea nor the trees until we have sealed the slaves of our God in their foreheads. ⁴ And I heard the number of those that were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the sons of Israel. ⁵ Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. ³ And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense of the prayers of all the saints, that he should offer upon the golden altar which was before the throne.

⁷ ¶ The first angel sounded the trumpet, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the land; and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. ⁸ And the second angel sounded the trumpet, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea; and the third part of the sea became blood; ⁹ and the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. ¹⁰ And the third angel sounded the trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as a lit torch, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called Wormwood; and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters because they were made bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded the trumpet, and the third part of the sun was smitten and the third part of the moon and the third part of the stars, in such a manner that the third part of them was darkened, and the third part of the day did not shine, and the night likewise.

¹ ¶ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud; and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write, and I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders have spoken and do not write them.

⁴ And the LORD shall separate between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt so that nothing shall die of all that is of the sons of Israel. ⁵ And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, Tomorrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land. ⁶ And the next day the LORD did that thing, and of all the livestock of Egypt many died, but of the livestock of the sons of Israel not one died.

¹³ And this blood shall be to you for a sign upon the houses where ye are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

²³ For the LORD will pass through smiting the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood upon the lintel and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over that door and will not allow the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.

¹³ But yet in it shall remain a tenth, and it shall return and shall be razed; as the teil tree and as the oak, of which the stump remains alive when they are cut down, likewise in these his stump shall remain holy seed.

²⁰ ¶ Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself, as it were, for a little moment until the indignation is overpast. ²¹ For, behold, the LORD comes out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth against himself: the earth also shall disclose her blood and shall no longer cover her slain.

¹⁷ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the slaves of the LORD, and their justice from me, said the LORD.

⁸ ¶ Thus has the LORD said, As when one has found new wine in a cluster and says, Do not destroy it; for a blessing is in it; so will I do for my slaves’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.

⁴ and the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry out because of all the abominations that are done in the midst of her.

¹⁷ Behold, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

²⁶ Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

¹⁶ Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king, speaking unto Daniel, said, Thy God whom thou servest continually, may he deliver thee.

³ Seek ye the LORD, all ye humble of the earth, who have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek humility: it may be ye shall be kept in the day of the LORD’s anger.

¹⁸ Therefore become ye converted, and ye shall make a difference between the just and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that did not serve him.

²² And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.

²⁶ If anyone serves me, let them follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also; the one that serves me, will my Father honour.

²² But now freed from sin and made slaves to God, ye have as your fruit sanctification and as the end, everlasting life.

¹⁶ And he caused all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slaves, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads;

¹ ¶ And I saw and, behold, the Lamb stood upon Mount Sion and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having the name of his Father written in their foreheads.

² for true and righteous are his judgments; for he has judged the great whore, who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his slaves at her hand.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and those who sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them; and I saw the souls of those that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God and who had not worshipped the beast neither its image neither had received its mark upon their foreheads or in their hands; and they shall live and reign with Christ the thousand years.

⁴ and they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

⁵ And he brought him forth abroad and said, Look now toward the heavens and count the stars, if thou art able to number them. And he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

¹³ ¶ Thus hath the Lord GOD said: This is the border, by which ye shall divide the land in inheritance among to the twelve tribes of Israel: Joseph shall have two portions.

¹⁹ And those that serve the city shall be from all the tribes of Israel.

³¹ ¶ And the gates of the city shall be according to the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, another; the gate of Levi, another.

¹ ¶ The burden of the word of the LORD against the land of Hadrach and of Damascus, his rest, because the eyes of the men and of all the tribes of Israel are turned toward the LORD.

²⁸ And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, to judge the twelve tribes of Israel.

³⁰ that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

⁷ unto which promise our twelve tribes, constantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, King Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

²⁷ Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel, Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant shall be saved;

⁵ Even so then at this present time also, there is a remnant by the gracious election of God. ⁶ And if by grace, then is it not by works; otherwise, the grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, then it is no longer grace; otherwise, the work is no longer work.

¹ ¶ James, {Gr. Jacob}, a slave of God and of the Lord Jesus, the Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

¹⁶ And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred million: and I heard the number of them.

³ and they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four animals and the elders; and no one could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth.

² Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, ³ Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, ⁴ Dan and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

⁴ And with you there shall be a man of every tribe, every one head of the house of his fathers. ⁵ And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the son of Shedeur; ⁶ of Simeon, Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai; ⁷ of Judah, Nahshon, the son of Amminadab; ⁸ of Issachar, Nethaneel, the son of Zuar; ⁹ of Zebulun, Eliab, the son of Helon; ¹⁰ of the sons of Joseph, of Ephraim, Elishama, the son of Ammihud; of Manasseh, Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur; ¹¹ of Benjamin, Abidan, the son of Gideoni; ¹² of Dan, Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai; ¹³ of Asher, Pagiel, the son of Ocran; ¹⁴ of Gad, Eliasaph, the son of Deuel; ¹⁵ of Naphtali, Ahira, the son of Enan;

¹⁴ In the first place went the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah according to their armies, and over his host was Nahshon, the son of Amminadab. ¹⁵ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar was Nethaneel, the son of Zuar. ¹⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun was Eliab, the son of Helon. ¹⁷ And the tabernacle was already taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle. ¹⁸ Then the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies, and over his host was Elizur, the son of Shedeur. ¹⁹ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon was Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai. ²⁰ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad was Eliasaph, the son of Deuel. ²¹ Then the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary, and while they were coming, the others set up the tabernacle. ²² After them the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim set forward according to their armies, and over his host was Elishama, the son of Ammihud. ²³ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh was Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur. ²⁴ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin was Abidan, the son of Gideoni. ²⁵ Then the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan set forward according to their armies, gathering together all the camps, and over his host was Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai. ²⁶ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher was Pagiel, the son of Ocran. ²⁷ And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali was Ahira, the son of Enan.

⁴ And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua, the son of Zaccur. ⁵ Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat, the son of Hori. ⁶ Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb, the son of Jephunneh. ⁷ Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal, the son of Joseph. ⁸ Of the tribe of Ephraim, Hosea, the son of Nun. ⁹ Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti, the son of Raphu. ¹⁰ Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel, the son of Sodi. ¹¹ Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi, the son of Susi. ¹² Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel, the son of Gemalli. ¹³ Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur, the son of Michael. ¹⁴ Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi, the son of Vophsi. ¹⁵ Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel, the son of Machi. ¹⁶ These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hosea, the son of Nun, Joshua.

¹ ¶ And I, brothers, when I came to you, came not with puffed up speech or wisdom to declare unto you the testimony of God. ² For I judged not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

³⁶ And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser; she was of a great age and had lived with her husband seven years from her virginity,

³⁴ And she conceived again and gave birth to a son; and said, Now this time will my husband be joined unto me because I have born him three sons; therefore his name was called Levi.

¹⁸ And Leah said, God has given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband; and she called his name Issachar.

²³ The sons of Leah: Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun.

⁵ ¶ Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of injustice are their weapons.

¹¹ Binding his foal unto the vine and his ass’s colt unto the choice roots; he washed his garments in wine and his covering in the blood of grapes;

¹⁶ And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their lineages: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. And the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years.

²² Of the sons of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the houses of their fathers, those that were numbered of him, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war,

¹⁴ Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianite, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a family of the tribe of Simeon.

¹⁴ These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty-two thousand two hundred.

¹ ¶ And the second lot came forth to Simeon, for the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families; and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the sons of Judah.

¹⁷ ¶ And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the sons of Issachar according to their families.

³ And Judah said unto Simeon, his brother, Come up with me into my lot that we may fight against the Canaanite; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

¹⁶ And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth, so that if someone could number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered.

¹⁰ The sceptre shall not be taken from Judah, nor the lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh comes; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

⁴⁰ And on the first day ye shall take branches with fruit of a beautiful tree, palm branches and the boughs of thick trees and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.

⁸ Ask of me, and I shall give thee the Gentiles for thine inheritance and unto the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the LORD; and all the families of the Gentiles shall worship before thee.

⁷ In his days shall righteousness flourish and abundance of peace until there is no longer any moon. ⁸ He shall have dominion also from sea to sea and from the river unto the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him, and his enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents; the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; all Gentiles shall serve him.

⁴ Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

² In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; my sore bled in the night and ceased not; my soul refused to be comforted.

³ He has remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the saving health of our God.

² The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion; rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. ³ Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauty of holiness; as the dew which falls from the womb of the morning, thus shall those who are thine be born unto thee.

¹ ¶ O praise the LORD, all ye Gentiles; praise him, all ye peoples. ² For he has greatly increased his mercy upon us; and the truth of the LORD endures for ever. Halelu-JAH.

² And it shall come to pass in the last of the days or times, that the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be confirmed as the head of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all the Gentiles shall flow unto it. ³ And many peoples shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths; for out of Zion shall go forth the law and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

⁶ And he said, It is a light thing that thou should be my slave to wake up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the desolations of Israel; I have also given thee for a light to the Gentiles that thou may be my saving health unto the end of the earth. ⁷ ¶ Thus has the LORD said, the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One, to him whom man despises, to him whom the Gentiles abhor, to the slave of the tyrants, Kings shall see and be raised up as princes and shall worship because of the LORD, for faithful is the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen thee. ⁸ Thus has the LORD said, In an acceptable time I have heard thee, and in the day of saving health I have helped thee; and I will preserve thee and give thee for a covenant of people, that thou might awaken the earth, that thou might inherit the desolate heritages;

¹ ¶ Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. ³ And the Gentiles shall walk to thy light, and the kings to the brightness of thy birth. ⁴ Lift up thine eyes round about and see: they all gather themselves together; they come to thee; thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side. ⁵ Then thou shall see, and thou shall shine, and thine heart shall marvel, and be enlarged because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the strength of the Gentiles shall have come unto thee. ⁶ The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, rams of Nebaioth shall be served unto thee: they shall be offered up with grace upon my altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory. ⁸ Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ ¶ For the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish from the first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified thee. ¹⁰ And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall serve thee; for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my good favour I shall have mercy on thee. ¹¹ Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that the strength of the Gentiles may be brought unto thee, and their kings guided. ¹² For the people or the kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish and shall be utterly wasted. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will honour the place of my feet. ¹⁴ The sons also of those that afflicted thee shall come humbled unto thee; and at the steps of thy feet all those that despised thee shall bow themselves down; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁷ At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the Gentiles shall congregate unto it in the name of the LORD in Jerusalem; neither shall they walk any more after the hardness of their evil heart.

¹⁹ O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the time of the affliction; Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things in which there is no profit.

¹ ¶ King Nebuchadnezzar, to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

²⁵ ¶ Then king Darius wrote unto all the peoples, nations, and tongues, that dwell in all the earth: Peace be multiplied unto you.

¹⁰ With all this, the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of the living God.

¹¹ And many Gentiles shall join themselves unto the LORD in that day and shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and then thou shalt know that the LORD of the hosts has sent me unto thee.

²⁰ Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said, It shall yet come to pass that there shall come people and the inhabitants of many cities ²¹ and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go to pray before the LORD and to seek the LORD of the hosts. And the other will respond: I will go also. ²² And many peoples and strong nations shall come to seek the LORD of the hosts in Jerusalem and to pray before the LORD. ²³ Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said, In those days it shall come to pass that ten men of all the languages of the Gentiles shall take hold of the robe of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

¹ ¶ In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

³⁶ Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass and to stand before the Son of man.

¹³ took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him and cried, Hosanna; Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.

²⁵ For I would not, brethren, that ye ignore this mystery, that ye not be arrogant regarding yourselves: that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles are come in.

⁹ but that the Gentiles glorify God by mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess thee among the Gentiles and sing unto thy name. ¹⁰ And again he says, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and magnify him, all the peoples. ¹² And again, Isaiah says, There shall be a root of Jesse and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles shall wait for salvation.

¹³ Therefore, take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day and stand fast, all the work having been finished.

¹² Therefore there sprang even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

⁴ Yet thou hast a few persons in Sardis who have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with me in white, for they are worthy. ⁵ He that overcomes shall likewise be clothed in white raiment, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold refined in the fire, that thou may be made rich; and clothed in white raiment, so that the shame of thy nakedness not be uncovered; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou may see.

⁴ And round about the throne were twenty-four thrones, and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and to open its seals, for thou wast slain and hast redeemed us unto God by thy blood, out of every kindred and tongue and people and nation

¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and of the animals and of the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

¹¹ And white robes were given unto each one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little while until their fellow servants and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

¹³ ¶ And one of the elders responded and asked me, Who are these who are arrayed in long white robes? and where did they come from? ¹⁴ And I said unto him, lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are those who came out of great tribulation and have washed their long robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that is seated on the throne shall dwell among them.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet, and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are reduced unto our Lord and to his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

⁸ Salvation belongs unto the LORD; thy blessing shall be upon thy people. Selah.

³⁹ Tau But the salvation of the righteous is the LORD; he is their strength in the time of trouble.

¹⁹ Blessed be the Lord, who daily lades us with benefits, even the God of our saving health. Selah. ²⁰ He that is our God is the God of salvation, and unto GOD the Lord belongs the way of escape from death.

¹ ¶ Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy and for thy truth.

¹¹ I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

¹⁵ Verily thou art God, that thou might hide thyself; God of Israel, who saves.

²¹ Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together; who caused this to be heard from the beginning and has declared it from that time, except me, the LORD? and there is no God beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is no one besides me.

²³ Truly the hills are vanity, the multitude of mountains; truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.

⁴ Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt; therefore thou shalt know no God other than me, nor any other saviour but me.

⁹ But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that which I have vowed; that saving comes of the LORD.

⁷ Who art thou, O great mountain before Zerubbabel? Thou shalt be reduced to a plain; and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

⁹ ¶ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout with joy, O daughter of Jerusalem; behold, thy King shall come unto thee: just, and a saviour; humble, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

⁶ and all flesh shall see the saving health of God.

²⁹ ¶ The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him and said, Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.

³⁶ and looking upon Jesus as he walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!

²² Ye worship what ye know not; we worship what we know, for saving health is of the Jews.

⁸ For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God,

² And immediately I was in the spirit, and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and there was one seated upon the throne. ³ And he that was seated was like a jasper and a sardine stone to look upon; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

⁶ And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal, and in the midst of the throne and round about the throne were four animals full of eyes in front and behind.

⁹ And when those animals give glory and honour and praise to the one that is seated on the throne, who lives for ever and ever, ¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him that is seated on the throne and worship him that lives for ever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and virtue; for thou hast created all things, and by thy will they have their being and were created.

⁷ And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that was seated upon the throne.

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth and such as are upon the sea and all that are in it, saying, Blessing and honour and glory and power, be unto him that is seated upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four animals said, Amen. And the twenty-four elders fell on their faces and worshipped him that lives for ever and ever.

¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation and virtue and the kingdom of our God and the power of his Christ; for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night.

¹ ¶ And after these things I heard a great voice of a great company in the heaven, saying, Halelu-JAH; Salvation and glory and honour and power unto the Lord our God;

⁵ And he that was seated upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are faithful and true.

³ And there shall no longer be any cursed thing; but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in her; and his slaves shall serve him;

¹¹ so shall the king greatly desire thy beauty; and bow before him, for he is thy Lord.

⁷ Let all those that serve graven images be confounded, those that boast of idols; worship him, all ye gods.

²⁰ Bless the LORD, ye his angels, valiant and strong, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. ²¹ Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts, ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

¹ ¶ Halelu-JAH. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights. ² Praise ye him, all his angels; praise ye him, all his hosts.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said unto him, Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

²³ that everyone should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who has sent him.

⁶ And again, when he brought in the firstbegotten into the world, he said, And let all the angels of God worship him.

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders fall down before him that is seated on the throne and worship him that lives for ever and ever and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹¹ And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and of the animals and of the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to take power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven and upon the earth and under the earth and such as are upon the sea and all that are in it, saying, Blessing and honour and glory and power, be unto him that is seated upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders, who sat before God on their thrones, fell upon their faces and worshipped God,

⁴ Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and magnify thy name? for thou only art holy; therefore, all the Gentiles shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four animals fell upon their faces and worshipped God that was seated upon the throne, saying, Amen! Halelu-JAH! ⁵ ¶ And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his slaves and ye that fear him, both small and great. ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a great company and as the voice of many waters and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Halelu-JAH; for the Lord God almighty reigns.

⁹ Then he said unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowslave and with thy brethren the prophets and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God.

⁸ And the Levites: Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, and Mattaniah, who with his brethren officiated in the songs of praise.

⁴⁶ For from the time of David and Asaph of old there were princes of the singers, and songs and praise and thanksgiving unto God.

¹³ Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

¹⁴ Sacrifice praise unto God and pay thy vows unto the most High

¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name for ever, and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

⁵² Blessed be the LORD for ever. Amen and Amen.

² Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and sing unto him with joy.

⁴ Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him and bless his name.

⁴⁸ Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting; and let all the people say, Amen. Halelu-JAH.

²² And let them offer the sacrifices of praise and publish his works with singing.

¹⁷ I will offer unto thee the sacrifice of praise and will invoke the name of the LORD.

⁷ Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God:

³ For the LORD shall surely comfort Zion; he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of singing.

⁹ And it shall be unto me a name of joy, of praise and of glory among all the Gentiles of the earth, who shall have heard all the good that I do unto them and they shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the peace that I shall do unto them.

¹¹ the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those that shall say, Praise the LORD of the hosts; for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of those that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause the captivity of the land to turn as at the first, said the LORD.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

¹⁵ For we suffer all these things for your sakes that the grace abounding through many may in the thanksgiving redound to the glory of God.

¹¹ so that being enriched in everything to all generosity, which works out through us thanksgiving unto God. ¹² For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also abounds in much thanksgiving unto God;

⁷ rooted and built up in him and confirmed in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

¹⁷ And whatever ye do whether in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to the God and Father by him.

²⁵ to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, now and in all the ages. Amen.

¹⁸ and he that lives and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of Hades and of death.

¹² saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to take power and riches and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and blessing.

⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four animals fell upon their faces and worshipped God that was seated upon the throne, saying, Amen! Halelu-JAH!

⁸ And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, where didst thou come from and where wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

⁶ Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came unto me, and his countenance was like the countenance of an angel of God, very terrible; but I did not ask him where he was from, neither did he tell me his name;

²⁸ Then Jesus cried out in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye know me, and ye know from where I come, but I have not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

⁵ And one of the elders said unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, who has overcome to open the book and to loose its seven seals.

⁹ After this I saw, and, behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds and peoples and tongues stood before the throne and before the Lamb clothed with long white robes and palms in their hands

³ And he cast for it four rings of gold, to be set by the four corners of it: even two rings upon the one side of it and two rings upon the other side of it.

¹⁸ Then come, shall the LORD say, and we shall be even; if your sins were as scarlet, they shall be made as white as snow; if they were red like crimson, they shall become as wool.

³ Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and stood before the angel. ⁴ And the angel answered and spoke unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I have caused thee to be clothed with new raiment. ⁵ And I said, Let them set a clean mitre upon his head. So they set a clean mitre upon his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

¹ ¶ In that time there shall be an open fountain for the house of David and for the inhabitants of Jerusalem against sin and against uncleanness.

²¹ for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

⁸ Peter said unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou shalt have no part with me. ⁹ Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. ¹⁰ Jesus said to him, He that is washed needs only to wash his feet because he is completely clean, and ye are clean, but not all. ¹¹ For he knew who should betray him; therefore, said he, Ye are not all clean. ¹² So after he had washed their feet and had taken his garments and had sat down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? ¹³ Ye call me Master and Lord; and ye say well, for so I am. ¹⁴ If I then, the Lord and the Master, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

²² confirming the souls of the disciples and exhorting them to remain in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

³ And not only this, but we even glory in the tribulations, knowing that the tribulation works patience;

¹¹ And such were some of you, but now ye are washed, but now ye are sanctified, but now ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and in the Spirit of our God.

²⁶ that he might sanctify and cleanse her in the washing of water by the word, ²⁷ that he might present her glorious for himself, a congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones}, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

⁴ so that we ourselves glory in you in the congregations {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure and

¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of the Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from the works of death to serve the living God?

¹² Therefore, Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

¹⁹ but with the precious blood of the Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without contamination,

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have communion with him in the midst of us, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son cleanses us from all sin.

⁵ and from Jesus, the Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins with his own blood

⁹ I know thy works and tribulation and poverty, (but thou art rich), and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

⁹ ¶ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those that had been slain because of the word of God and for the testimony which they held: ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on those that dwell in the earth? ¹¹ And white robes were given unto each one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little while until their fellow servants and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

¹¹ And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

² And I saw, as it were, a sea of glass mingled with fire and those that had gotten the victory over the beast and over its image and over its mark and over the number of its name stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

⁶ And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus; and when I saw her, I marvelled with great surprise.

¹⁴ Blessed are those who do his commandments that their power and authority might be in the tree of life and they may enter in through the gates into the city.

⁴⁵ And I will dwell among the sons of Israel and shall be their God.

¹³ and I will dwell among the sons of Israel and will not forsake my people Israel.

²⁵ For David said, The LORD God of Israel has given rest unto his people, and he shall dwell in Jerusalem for ever.

¹⁶ Why leap ye, ye high mountains? This is the mountain which God desires to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever. ¹⁷ The chariots of God are two thousand, thousands of angels; the Lord is among them as in Sinai, in the sanctuary. ¹⁸ Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive; thou hast received gifts for men, yea, for the rebellious also that the LORD God might dwell among them.

¹ A Song of degrees. ¶ Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye slaves of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD. ² Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

⁵ And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of Mount Zion and upon the places of her assemblies a cloud and darkness by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night because over all glory there shall be a covering. ⁶ And there shall be a covert for a shadow in the daytime from the heat and for a place of refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth.

¹⁶ ¶ Know ye not that ye are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁶ And what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

¹ ¶ Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such a high priest who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

² with our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who having been offered joy, endured the cross {Gr. stauros – stake}, despising the shame and was seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹⁹ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of his testament was seen in his temple: and there were lightnings and voices and thunderings and earthquakes and great hail.

³ and they sang as it were a new song before the throne and before the four animals and the elders; and no one could learn that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth. ⁴ These are those who are not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These are redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. ⁵ And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without blemish before the throne of God.

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

³ And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them and be their God. ⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and death shall be no more neither shall there be any more sorrow nor crying nor pain; for the former things are passed away.

⁵ And there shall be no night there; and they need no lamp neither light of the sun; for the Lord God shall give them light; and they shall reign for ever and ever.

² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?

when he was in the wilderness of Judah. ¶ O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee; my soul thirsts for thee; my flesh longs for thee in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water;

⁶ The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

⁶ I stretched forth my hands unto thee; my soul thirsted after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.

⁶ Do not look upon me because I am dark because the sun has looked upon me; my mother’s sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards, but I have not kept my own vineyard.

⁴ For thou hast been strength to the poor, strength to the needy in his distress, refuge from the storm, shadow from the heat, for the force of the violent is as a storm against the wall.

² And that man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a hot land.

¹⁷ The poor and needy seek the waters that are not; their tongue fails for thirst; I the LORD will hear them; I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

¹⁰ They shall never hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water he shall feed them.

¹³ Therefore thus has the Lord GOD said, Behold, my slaves shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my slaves shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my slaves shall rejoice, but ye shall be ashamed:

⁸ And it came to pass, when the sun arose, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah that he fainted and wished in his soul to die and said, It is better for me to die than to live.

⁶ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and death shall be no more neither shall there be any more sorrow nor crying nor pain; for the former things are passed away.

²⁶ The poor shall eat and be satisfied: those that seek him shall praise the LORD; your heart shall live for ever.

¹ A Psalm of David. ¶ The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters.

⁵ Thou shalt prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup is running over.

⁹ Save thy people and bless thine inheritance; feed them also and lift them up for ever.

⁷ ¶ Tell me, O thou whom my soul loves, where thou dost feed, where thou dost make thy flock to rest at noon; for why did I have to be as a wanderer after the flocks of thy companions? ⁸ If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go forth, following the footprints of the flock and feed thy little female goats beside the booths of the shepherds.

³ Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of saving health.

⁶ ¶ And in this mountain the LORD of the hosts shall make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of purified wines, of fat things full of marrow, of purified liquids.

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with songs; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall retain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

¹¹ He shall feed his flock like a shepherd; he shall gather the lambs with his arm and carry them in his bosom and shall gently lead those that are with young.

¹¹ The woman said unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep; from where then hast thou that living water?

³⁷ ¶ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If any man thirsts, let him come unto me and drink. ³⁸ He that believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

¹¹ I AM the good shepherd; the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.

He said unto him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He said to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He said unto him, Yes, Lord thou knowest that I love thee. He said unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He said unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus said unto him, Feed my sheep.

²⁸ Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has placed you as bishops to feed the congregation {Gr. ekklesia – called out ones} of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

² Feed the flock of God which is among you, caring for her, not by force, but willingly; not for shameful lucre, but with willing desire;

¹¹ Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and virtue; for thou hast created all things, and by thy will they have their being and were created.

⁶ ¶ And I saw, and, behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four animals and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

⁶ And he said unto me, It is done. I AM the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is thirsty of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹ ¶ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
