²⁴ So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

⁴⁰ He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

⁵⁰ Salt is good: but if the salt have lost its saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace one with another.

³ And when he heard concerning Jesus, he sent unto him elders of the Jews, asking him that he would come and save his servant. ⁴ And they, when they came to Jesus, besought him earnestly, saying, He is worthy that thou shouldest do this for him: ⁵ for he loveth our nation, and himself built us our synagogue.

³⁴ A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. ³⁵ By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

¹⁷ These things I command you, that ye may love one another.

¹⁷ (as it is written, A father of many nations have I made thee) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were. ¹⁸ Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, So shall thy seed be. ¹⁹ And without being weakened in faith he considered his own body now as good as dead (he being about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb:

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. ² Here, moreover, it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

⁷ What soldier ever serveth at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? ⁸ Do I speak these things after the manner of men? or saith not the law also the same? ⁹ For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn. Is it for the oxen that God careth, ¹⁰ or saith he it altogether for our sake? Yea, for our sake it was written: because he that ploweth ought to plow in hope, and he that thresheth, [to thresh] in hope of partaking. ¹¹ If we sowed unto you spiritual things, is it a great matter if we shall reap your carnal things?

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfected; be comforted; be of the same mind; live in peace: and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

¹⁴ and that which was a temptation to you in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but ye received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

⁶ But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

³ giving diligence to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

¹⁵ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to the which also ye were called in one body; and be ye thankful. ¹⁶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with you all.

²² But flee youthful lusts, and follow after righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

¹⁴ Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man shall see the Lord:

¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for them that make peace.
