³⁶ And after some days Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every city wherein we proclaimed the word of the Lord, [and see] how they fare.

¹⁸ And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

² Therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, against the shepherds that feed my people: Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them; behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

³⁶ naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

⁴³ I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

²³ But when he was well-nigh forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

⁴ So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, went down to Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

¹¹ For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

²⁸ Beside those things that are without, there is that which presseth upon me daily, anxiety for all the churches.

²⁷ Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ: that, whether I come and see you or be absent, I may hear of your state, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the gospel;

¹⁷ But we, brethren, being bereaved of you for a short season, in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more exceedingly to see your face with great desire: ¹⁸ because we would fain have come unto you, I Paul once and again; and Satan hindered us.

⁶ But when Timothy came even now unto us from you, and brought us glad tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, even as we also [to see] you;

¹⁰ night and day praying exceedingly that we may see your face, and may perfect that which is lacking in your faith? ¹¹ Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you:

⁴ longing to see thee, remembering thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
