²¹ And they, when they had further threatened them, let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified God for that which was done.

⁸ But when the multitudes saw it, they were afraid, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

³³ And when the devil was cast out, the dumb man spake: and the multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

³¹ insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, and the lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they glorified the God of Israel.

⁴⁶ And when they sought to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes, because they took him for a prophet.

⁶ But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, that give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk. ⁷ And he took him by the right hand, and raised him up: and immediately his feet and his ankle-bones received strength. ⁸ And leaping up, he stood, and began to walk; and he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. ⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

¹⁷ But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

²⁶ Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them, [but] without violence; for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.

⁴⁰ And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles unto them, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
