¹³ And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold, behind [him] a ram caught in the thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.

⁸ And Abraham said, God will provide himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son: so they went both of them together.

⁶ Sacrifice and offering thou hast no delight in; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I am come; in the roll of the book it is written of me: ⁸ I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea, thy law is within my heart.

¹⁹ Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people. ²⁰ I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

²¹ and thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it; when ye turn to the right hand and when e turn to the left.

⁷ Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, [even] Christ: ⁸ wherefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

¹³ There hath no temptation taken you but such as man can bear: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation make also the way of escape, that ye may be able to endure it.

⁹ yea, we ourselves have had the answer of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: ¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

¹⁹ but with precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, [even the blood] of Christ: ²⁰ who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of the times for your sake,
