²⁰ Have not I written unto thee excellent things of counsels and knowledge;

⁶ The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace on the earth, purified seven times.

⁶ Hear, for I will speak excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

¹² Though I write for him my law in ten thousand [precepts], they are counted as a strange thing.

¹⁵ and that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ Every scripture inspired of God [is] also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness: ¹⁷ that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.

¹⁹ And we have the word of prophecy [made] more sure; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts: ²⁰ knowing this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. ²¹ For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spake from God, being moved by the Holy Ghost.
