The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! ² Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah ³ For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of fine gold on his head. ⁴ He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever. ⁵ His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty dost thou lay upon him. ⁶ For thou makest him most blessed for ever: thou makest him glad with joy in thy presence. ⁷ For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the lovingkindness of the Most High he shall not be moved. ⁸ Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. ⁹ Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger. The LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. ¹¹ For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a device, which they are not able to perform. ¹² For thou shalt make them turn their back, thou shalt make ready with thy bowstrings against the face of them. ¹³ Be thou exalted, O LORD, in thy strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.

⁶ Yet I have set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

⁵ We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions. ⁶ Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he wilt answer him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

⁹ Save, LORD: let the King answer us when we call.

⁷ The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart hath trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will praise him.

¹⁶ But I will sing of thy strength; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my high tower, and a refuge in the day of my distress. ¹⁷ Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing praises: for God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.

⁷ With God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

¹¹ But the king shall rejoice in God: every one that sweareth by him shall glory; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

¹⁷ O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.

¹ O COME, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

⁴ The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

¹⁴ The LORD is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation. ¹⁵ The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.

⁶ For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with judgment and with righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts shall perform this.

² saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him.

² looking unto Jesus the author and perfecter of [our] faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁸ Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. ⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

⁴ Grant thee thy heart’s desire, and fulfill all thy counsel. ⁵ We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions.

⁴ Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

¹¹ Mine eye also hath seen [my desire] on mine enemies, mine ears have heard [my desire] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.

⁶ yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. ⁷ Thus saith the LORD, the redeemer of Israel, [and] his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD that is faithful, [even] the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee. ⁸ Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I answered thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to raise up the land, to make them inherit the desolate heritages; ⁹ saying to them that are bound, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them. ¹¹ And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted. ¹² Lo, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim.

²⁵ Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

¹³ Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the spirit of the LORD came mightily upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

⁴ And the men of Judah came, and there they anointed David king over the house of Judah. And they told David, saying, The men of Jabesh-gilead were they that buried Saul.

³ So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD: and they anointed David king over Israel.

³⁰ And he took the crown of their king from off his head; and the weight thereof was a talent of gold, and [in it were] precious stones; and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city, exceeding much.

⁴¹ Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness.

¹¹ Who hath first given unto me, that I should repay him? [whatsoever is] under the whole heaven is mine.

¹⁸ They came upon me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

¹⁹ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for them that put their trust in thee, before the sons of men!

¹⁰ The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see [my desire] upon mine enemies.

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

³⁵ or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly [places] in Christ:

⁹ But we behold him who hath been made a little lower than the angels, [even] Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honour, that by the grace of God he should taste death for every [man].

¹² And his eyes [are] a flame of fire, and upon his head [are] many diadems; and he hath a name written, which no one knoweth but he himself.

³ Consider [and] answer me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the [sleep of] death;

¹⁰ For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption. ¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

⁵ For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given [me] the heritage of those that fear thy name. ⁶ Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: his years shall be as many generations.

¹⁷ His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him happy.

²⁹ His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁶ His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. ³⁷ It shall be established for ever as the moon, and [as] the faithful witness in the sky. Selah

¹⁶ With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

⁷⁷ Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

¹⁷⁵ Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.

³ Like the dew of Hermon, that cometh down upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

¹⁸ and the Living one; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive for evermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

⁸ Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be prince over my people, over Israel: ⁹ and I have been with thee whithersoever thou wentest, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee; and I will make thee a great name, like unto the name of the great ones that are in the earth.

¹⁹ And this was yet a small thing in thine eyes, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a great while to come; and this too after the manner of men, O Lord GOD!

¹¹ And it shall come to pass, when thy days be fulfilled that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. ¹² He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne for ever. ¹³ I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: ¹⁴ but I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for ever. ¹⁵ According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

²⁷ and now it hath pleased thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O LORD, hast blessed, and it is blessed for ever.

³ But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

⁵ For thou hast made him but little lower than God, and crownest him with glory and honour.

⁶ Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.

¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD saith unto my lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

⁵ And now saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, and that Israel be gathered unto him: (for I am honourable in the eyes of the LORD, and my God is become my strength:) ⁶ yea, he saith, It is too light a thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth. ⁷ Thus saith the LORD, the redeemer of Israel, [and] his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers: Kings shall see and arise; princes, and they shall worship; because of the LORD that is faithful, [even] the Holy One of Israel, who hath chosen thee.

¹ Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.

¹⁸ And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.

³¹ When therefore he was gone out, Jesus saith, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him; ³² and God shall glorify him in himself, and straightway shall he glorify him.

¹ These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee:

⁵ And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

²² And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one;

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: ²² and he put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

⁹ Wherefore also God highly exalted him, and gave unto him the name which is above every name; ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven and [things] on earth and [things] under the earth, ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹ Now in the things which we are saying the chief point [is this]: We have such a high priest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

⁸ And when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹ And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy art thou to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and didst purchase unto God with thy blood [men] of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, ¹⁰ and madest them [to be] unto our God a kingdom and priests; and they reign upon the earth. ¹¹ And I saw, and I heard a voice of many angels round about the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might, and honour, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And every created thing which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all things that are in them, heard I saying, Unto him that sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb, [be] the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the dominion, for ever and ever.

² and I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing:

⁶ Many there be that say, Who will shew us [any] good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. ⁷ Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than [they have] when their corn and their wine are increased.

¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

⁴ Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: and upon the harp will I praise thee, O God, my God.

⁷ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

² So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, to see thy power and thy glory. ³ For thy lovingkindness is better than life; my lips shall praise thee. ⁴ So will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. ⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips;

¹⁷ His name shall endure for ever; his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him; all nations shall call him happy. ¹⁸ Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things: ¹⁹ And blessed be his glorious name for ever; and let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.

¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: ¹¹ for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

³⁰ For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, ³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples; ³² A light for revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of thy people Israel.

²⁸ Thou madest known unto me the ways of life; Thou shalt make me full of gladness with thy countenance.

²⁶ Unto you first God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your iniquities.

⁹ So then they which be of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

¹⁴ that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

⁸ When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the children of men, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel. ⁹ For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.

⁶ And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.

² I will be glad and exult in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

²⁹ And though man be risen up to pursue thee, and to seek thy soul, yet the soul of my lord shall be bound in the bundle of life with the LORD thy God; and the souls of thine enemies, them shall he sling out, as from the hollow of a sling.

³ And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers overtook him; and he was greatly distressed by reason of the archers.

⁹ They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.

²² The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him. ²³ And I will beat down his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.

¹⁰ As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

² Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; and though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down. ³ And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them.

¹⁴ But his citizens hated him, and sent an ambassage after him, saying, We will not that this man reign over us.

²⁷ Howbeit these mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁸ A man that hath set at nought Moses’ law dieth without compassion on [the word of] two or three witnesses: ²⁹ of how much sorer punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

¹⁵ And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.

²⁸ and he looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah, and toward all the land of the Plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the land went up as the smoke of a furnace.

²² For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And burneth unto the lowest pit, And devoureth the earth with her increase, And setteth on fire the foundations of the mountains.

³ For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas: therefore have my words been rash.

⁵ Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure:

¹² Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

⁸ There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.

Be merciful unto me, O God; for man would swallow me up: all the day long he fighting oppresseth me. ² Mine enemies would swallow me up all the day long: for they be many that fight proudly against me.

¹¹ LORD, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see [thy] zeal for the people, and be ashamed; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.

² The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied; he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath profaned the kingdom and the princes thereof.

²⁰ And he commanded certain mighty men that were in is army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, [and] to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. ²¹ Then these men were bound in their hosen, their tunics, and their mantles, and their [other] garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. ²² Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

⁶ Who can stand before his indignation? and who can abide in the fierceness of his anger? his fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder by him.

¹ For, behold, the day cometh, it burneth as a furnace; and all the proud, and all that work wickedness, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

¹⁰ And even now is the axe laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

¹² whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly cleanse his threshing-floor; and he will gather his wheat into the garner, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.

⁴² and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁷ But the king was wroth; and he sent his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment: but the righteous into eternal life.

¹⁶ forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved; to fill up their sins alway: but the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost.

⁸ in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?

¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, [even] the lake of fire.

³⁴ And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth.

¹⁶ His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. ¹⁷ His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. ¹⁸ He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. ¹⁹ He shall have neither son nor son’s son among his people, nor any remaining where he sojourned.

²⁸ The increase of his house shall depart, [his goods] shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

²⁸ For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

¹³ Let his posterity be cut off; in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

²⁰ Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, thou hast slain thy people; the seed of evil-doers shall not be named for ever.

¹ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples imagine a vain thing?

² In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

¹³ For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side: while they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life.

²⁰ For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful words against them that are quiet in the land.

⁴ They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.

⁶ Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set up a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeel: ⁷ thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

⁹ Make an uproar; O ye peoples, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

¹⁸ And the LORD gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then thou shewedst me their doings. ¹⁹ But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.

² And he said unto me, Son of man, these are the men that devise iniquity, and that give wicked counsel in this city.

⁸ And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search out carefully concerning the young child; and when ye have found [him], bring me word, that I also may come and worship him.

¹⁶ Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the male children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the borders thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had carefully learned of the wise men.

⁴⁶ And when they sought to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes, because they took him for a prophet.

⁴ and they took counsel together that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him. ⁵ But they said, Not during the feast, lest a tumult arise among the people.

⁶³ saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I rise again. ⁶⁴ Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest haply his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: and the last error will be worse than the first.

² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon it. ³ His appearance was as lightning, and his raiment white as snow: ⁴ and for fear of him the watchers did quake, and became as dead men. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which hath been crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, even as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

¹⁷ But that it spread no further among the people, let us threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. ¹⁸ And they called them, and charged them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

²⁷ And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them, ²⁸ saying, We straitly charged you not to teach in this name: and behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.

²⁰ If I have sinned, what do I unto thee, O thou watcher of men? why hast thou set me as a mark for thee, so that I am a burden to myself?

¹² I was at ease, and he brake me asunder; yea, he hath taken me by the neck, and dashed me to pieces: he hath also set me up for his mark. ¹³ His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.

¹² If a man turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready. ¹³ He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he maketh his arrows fiery [shafts].

³ When mine enemies turn back, they stumble and perish at thy presence.

¹⁴ And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.

⁴⁰ Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, that I might cut off them that hate me.

¹⁰ Thou makest us to turn back from the adversary: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.

⁹ Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call: this I know, that God is for me.

⁷ But God shall shoot at them; with an arrow suddenly shall they be wounded.

¹² He hath bent his bow, and set me as a mark for the arrow.

¹¹ Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth [is thine]; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

¹⁹ If [we speak] of the strength of the mighty, lo, [he is there]! and if of judgment, who will appoint me a time?

⁴⁶ The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation:

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

⁵ Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; [let] thy glory [be] above all the earth.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked. ¹¹ So that men shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily there is a God that judgeth in the earth.

⁵ Who is like unto the LORD our God, that hath his seat on high,

¹⁰ Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.

¹³ And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil [one].

¹⁷ saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, which art and which wast; because thou hast taken thy great power, and didst reign.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are thy ways, thou King of the ages. ⁴ Who shall not fear, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy; for all the nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy righteous acts have been made manifest.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters saying, Righteous art thou, which art and which wast, thou Holy One, because thou didst thus judge: ⁶ for they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and blood hast thou given them to drink: they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard the altar saying, Yea, O Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments.

²⁰ Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye saints, and ye apostles, and ye prophets; for God hath judged your judgment on her.

¹ After these things I heard as it were a great voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Hallelujah; Salvation, and glory, and power, belong to our God: ² for true and righteous are his judgments; for he hath judged the great harlot, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and he hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. ³ And a second time they say, Hallelujah. And her smoke goeth up for ever and ever. ⁴ And the four and twenty elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God that sitteth on the throne, saying, Amen; Hallelujah. ⁵ And a voice came forth from the throne, saying, Give praise to our God, all ye his servants, ye that fear him, the small and the great. ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunders, saying, Hallelujah: for the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigneth.
