¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. ² He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. ³ He restoreth my soul: he guideth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. ⁴ Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. ⁵ Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou hast anointed my head with oil; my cup runneth over. ⁶ Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

⁹ O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. ¹⁰ The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

⁵² But he led forth his own people like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

¹³ So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

¹¹ For the LORD God is a sun and a shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

¹¹ He shall feed his flock like a shepherd, he shall gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that give suck.

³ And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and multiply. ⁴ And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be lacking, saith the LORD.

¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, O ye nations, and declare it in the isles afar off; and say, He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd doth his flock.

¹¹ For thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I myself, even I, will search for my sheep, and will seek them out. ¹² As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered abroad, so will I seek out my sheep; and I will deliver them out of all places whither they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. ²⁴ And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

² But thou, Beth-lehem Ephrathah, which art little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall one come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting.

⁴ And he shall stand, and shall feed [his flock] in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God: and they shall abide; for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

³³ But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

³⁰ For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: but your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. ³¹ Howbeit seek ye his kingdom, and these things shall be added unto you. ³² Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

¹¹ I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd layeth down his life for the sheep.

¹⁴ I am the good shepherd; and I know mine own, and mine own know me,

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: ²⁸ and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, which hath given [them] unto me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch [them] out of the Father’s hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

¹⁹ And my God shall fulfill every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

⁵ Be ye free from the love of money; content with such things as ye have: for himself hath said, I will in no wise fail thee, neither will I in any wise forsake thee. ⁶ So that with good courage we say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear: What shall man do unto me?

²⁰ Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of the eternal covenant, [even] our Lord Jesus,

²⁵ For ye were going astray like sheep; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall be manifested, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.

¹⁷ for the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall be their shepherd, and shall guide them unto fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

²⁹ When he giveth quietness, who then can condemn? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether [it be done] unto a nation, or unto a man, alike:

⁴ There is a river, the streams whereof make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

⁶ Forasmuch as this people hath refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son;

²³ And he shall give the rain of thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the ground, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.

⁹ saying to them that are bound, Go forth; to them that are in darkness, Shew yourselves. They shall feed in the ways, and on all bare heights shall be their pasture. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.

¹³ And I will bring them out from the peoples, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land; and I will feed them upon the mountains of Israel, by the watercourses, and in all the inhabited places of the country. ¹⁴ I will feed them with good pasture, and upon the mountains of the height of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie down in a good fold, and on fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.

⁶ And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹ And he shewed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,

¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.

³⁰ To bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.

⁸ Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way plain before my face.

⁷ The law of the LORD is perfect, restoring the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

³ For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me and guide me.

³ O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

¹⁰ Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

¹² Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation: and uphold me with a free spirit.

⁹ Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.

⁴ Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease. ⁵ Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations? ⁶ Wilt thou not quicken us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? ⁷ Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.

¹³ Righteousness shall go before him; and shall make his footsteps a way [to walk in].

¹⁷⁶ I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; for I do not forget thy commandments.

⁸ Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. ⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. ¹⁰ Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me in the land of uprightness.

¹¹ I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in paths of uprightness.

²⁰ I walk in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; in paths that they know not will I lead them: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things will I do, and I will not forsake them.

⁸ Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth, [and] with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall they return hither.

³⁷ Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries, whither I have driven them in mine anger, and in my fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again unto this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely: ³⁸ and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: ³⁹ and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever; for the good of them, and of their children after them: ⁴⁰ and I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. ⁴¹ Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land assuredly with my whole heart and with my whole soul. ⁴² For thus saith the LORD: Like as I have brought all this great evil upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them.

¹⁴ But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them out.

⁴ I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. ⁵ I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall blossom as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. ⁶ His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. ⁷ They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive [as] the corn, and blossom as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon. ⁸ Ephraim [shall say], What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered, and will regard him: I am like a green fir tree; from me is thy fruit found. ⁹ Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them; but transgressors shall fall therein.

⁸ Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me. ⁹ I will bear the indignation of the LORD, because I have sinned against him; until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, [and] I shall behold his righteousness.

¹⁸ Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. ¹⁹ He will turn again and have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot: and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

³¹ Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have you, that he might sift you as wheat: ³² but I made supplication for thee, that thy faith fail not: and do thou, when once thou hast turned again, stablish thy brethren.

⁶ to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved:

¹⁹ As many as I love, I reprove and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

⁵ Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own; let a cloud dwell upon it; let all that maketh black the day terrify it.

²¹ Before I go whence I shall not return, [even] to the land of darkness and of the shadow of death; ²² A land of thick darkness, as darkness [itself]; [a land] of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.

¹⁷ For the morning is to all of them as the shadow of death; for they know the terrors of the shadow of death.

⁶ I will not be afraid of ten thousands of the people, that have set themselves against me round about.

⁵ There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.

¹ [A Psalm] of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? ² When evil-doers came upon me to eat up my flesh, [even] mine adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell. ³ Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, even then will I be confident. ⁴ One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

¹⁹ That thou hast sore broken us in the place of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.

¹ For the Chief Musician: [a Psalm] of the sons of Korah; set to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. ² Therefore will we not fear, though the earth do change, and though the mountains be moved in the heart of the seas; ³ Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah

¹¹ The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

² The LORD shall send forth the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

⁶ The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

⁷ Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me; thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

⁹ Make an uproar; O ye peoples, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. ¹⁰ Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us.

¹⁰ Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. ² When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

⁶ Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt; that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought and of the shadow of death, through a land that none passed through, and where no man dwelt?

¹⁴ Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily, in the forest in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

²³ Thus saith the LORD of hosts: In those days [it shall come to pass], that ten men shall take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, shall even take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

¹⁰ And I took my staff Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples.

¹⁴ Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.

²³ Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Immanuel; which is, being interpreted, God with us.

²⁰ teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

⁷⁹ To shine upon them that sit in darkness and the shadow of death; To guide our feet into the way of peace.

⁹ And the Lord said unto Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: ¹⁰ for I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to harm thee: for I have much people in this city.

⁵⁵ O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting? ⁵⁶ The sting of death is sin; and the power of sin is the law: ⁵⁷ but thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

²² The Lord be with thy spirit. Grace be with you.

¹⁶ Yea, he would have led thee away out of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which is set on thy table should be full of fatness.

⁵ The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek after him: let your heart live for ever.

²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

¹⁹ Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee, which thou hast wrought for them that put their trust in thee, before the sons of men! ²⁰ In the covert of thy presence shalt thou hide them from the plottings of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

⁷ Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

¹⁹ Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God prepare a table in the wilderness?

¹⁰ But my horn hast thou exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.

¹⁵ And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, [and] oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengtheneth man’s heart.

¹³ I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

⁶ And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all peoples a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

⁶ that drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments; but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

¹⁷ But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thy head, and wash thy face;

⁴⁶ My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but she hath anointed my feet with ointment.

⁵³ Jesus therefore said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have not life in yourselves. ⁵⁴ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood abideth in me, and I in him.

⁹ I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and go out, and shall find pasture. ¹⁰ The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have [it] abundantly.

²² And ye therefore now have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one taketh away from you.

¹⁶ The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a communion of the body of Christ?

²¹ Now he that stablisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;

²⁰ Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

²⁰ And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

²⁷ And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, ye abide in him.

¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; in thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

¹⁵ As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.

⁴ He asked life of thee, thou gavest it him; even length of days for ever and ever.

⁴ One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.

¹¹ Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing; thou hast loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness: ¹² To the end that [my] glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.

⁷ How precious is thy lovingkindness, O God! and the children of men take refuge under the shadow of thy wings. ⁸ They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. ⁹ For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. ¹⁰ O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

²⁴ Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. ²⁵ Whom have I in heaven [but thee]? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. ²⁶ My flesh and my heart faileth: [but] God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

¹⁷ But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

¹⁰ who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;

¹ For we know that if the earthly house of our tabernacle be dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens.

²³ But I am in a strait betwixt the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

¹⁸ The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
