⁵ Likewise ye yonger, submit your selues vnto the elders, and submit your selues euery man, one to another: decke your selues inwardly in lowlinesse of minde: for God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.

³² Thou shalt rise vp before the horehead, and honour the person of the old man, and dread thy God: I am the Lord.

⁴¹ Nowe therefore arise, O Lord God, to come into thy rest, thou, and the Arke of thy strength: O Lord God, let thy Priestes be clothed with saluation, and let thy Saints reioyce in goodnesse.

²⁹ When others are cast downe, then shalt thou say, I am lifted vp: and God shall saue the humble person.

¹⁴ I put on iustice, and it couered me: my iudgement was as a robe, and a crowne.

⁹ Let thy Priests be clothed with righteousnesse, and let thy Saints reioyce.

¹⁶ And will clothe her Priests with saluation, and her Saints shall shoute for ioye.

³⁴ With the scornefull he scorneth, but hee giueth grace vnto the humble.

¹⁵ For thus sayth he that is hie and excellent, he that inhabiteth the eternitie, whose Name is the Holy one, I dwell in the high and holy place: with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirite to reuiue the spirite of the humble, and to giue life to them that are of a contrite heart.

¹⁰ I will greatly reioyce in the Lord, and my soule shall be ioyfull in my God: for he hath clothed mee with the garments of saluation, and couered me with the robe of righteousnes: hee hath decked me like a bridegrome, and as a bride tireth herselfe with her iewels.

² For all these things hath mine hand made, and all these things haue bene, sayth the Lord: and to him will I looke, euen to him, that is poore, and of a contrite spirite and trembleth at my wordes.

¹⁰ Be affectioned to loue one another with brotherly loue. In giuing honour, goe one before another,

¹⁴ But put yee on the Lord JESUS CHRIST, and take no thought for the flesh, to fulfill the lustes of it.

²¹ Submitting your selues one to another in the feare of God.

³ That nothing be done through contention or vaine glory, but that in meekenesse of minde euery man esteeme other better then himselfe.

¹² Now therfore as the elect of God holy and beloued, put on the bowels of mercies, kindnesse, humblenesse of minde, meekenesse, long suffering:

¹⁷ Obey them that haue the ouersight of you, and submit your selues: for they watche for your soules, as they that must giue accountes, that they may doe it with ioy, and not with griefe: for that is vnprofitable for you.

⁶ But the Scripture offereth more grace, and therefore sayth, God resisteth the proude, and giueth grace to the humble.

³ Whose apparelling, let it not be that outwarde, with broyded heare, and golde put about, or in putting on of apparell: ⁴ But let it bee the hidde man of the heart, which consisteth in the incorruption of a meeke and quiet spirite, which is before God a thing much set by.

¹ Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for vs in the flesh, arme your selues likewise with the same minde, which is, that he which hath suffered in the flesh, hath ceased from sinne,

⁵ Which shall giue accounts to him, that is readie to iudge quicke and dead.
