³⁷ Also the Lord was angry with me for your sakes, saying, Thou also shalt not goe in thither,

²³ And I besought the Lord the same time, saying, ²⁴ O Lord God, thou hast begunne to shewe thy seruant thy greatnesse and thy mightie hande: for where is there a God in heauen or in earth, that can do like thy workes, and like thy power? ²⁵ I pray thee let me go ouer and see the good land that is beyond Iorden, that goodly mountaine, and Lebanon. ²⁶ But the Lord was angrie with me for your sakes, and would not heare me: and the Lord said vnto me, Let it suffice thee, speake no more vnto me of this matter. ²⁷ Get thee vp into the top of Pisgah, and lift vp thine eyes Westward, and Northwarde, and Southward, and Eastward, and behold it with thine eyes, for thou shalt not goe ouer this Iorden: ²⁸ But charge Ioshua, and incourage him, and bolden him: for hee shall goe before this people, and he shall deuide for inheritance vnto them, the land which thou shalt see.

Then he answered, I wil redeeme it. ⁵ Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou mnst also buy it of Ruth the Moabitesse the wife of the dead, to stirre vp the name of the dead, vpon his inheritance. ⁶ And the kinsman answered, I can not redeeme it, lest I destroy mine owne inheritance: redeeme my right to thee, for I can not redeeme it.

²⁰ And we also will be like all other nations, and our King shall iudge vs, and goe out before vs, and fight our battels.

⁶ Then the Spirit of the Lord will come vpon thee, and thou shalt prophecie with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

⁹ And when he had turned his backe to goe from Samuel, God gaue him another heart: and all those tokens came to passe that same day.

¹³ Nowe therefore beholde the King whome yee haue chosen, and whome yee haue desired: loe therefore, the Lord hath set a King ouer you.

¹³ Then Samuel tooke the horne of oyle, and anoynted him in the middes of his brethren. And the Spirit of the Lord came vpon Dauid, from that day forwarde: then Samuel rose vp, and went to Ramah. ¹⁴ But the Spirite of the Lord departed from Saul, and an euill spirite sent of the Lord vexed him.

¹⁸ Then answered one of his seruauntes, and sayde, Beholde, I haue seene a sonne of Ishai, a Bethlehemite, that can plaie, and is strong, valiant and a man of warre and wise in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.

¹³ Therefore Saul put him from him, and made him a captaine ouer a thousand, and he went out and in before the people.

¹⁰ Who asked counsell of the Lord for him and gaue him vitailes, and he gaue him also the sword of Goliath the Philistim. ¹¹ Then the King sent to call Ahimelech the Priest the sonne of Ahitub, and all his fathers house, to wit, the Priests that were in Nob: and they came all to the King. ¹² And Saul said, Heare now thou sonne of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I am, my lord. ¹³ Then Saul sayde vnto him, Why haue yee conspired against me, thou and the sonne of Ishai, in that thou hast giuen him vitaile, and a sworde, and hast asked counsell of God for him, that he should rise against me, and lye in wayte as appeareth this day? ¹⁴ And Ahimelech answered the King, and sayde, Who is so faithfull among all thy seruants as Dauid, being also the Kings sonne in lawe, and goeth at thy commandement, and is honourable in thine house? ¹⁵ Haue I this day first begun to aske counsell of God for him? be it farre from mee, let not the King impute any thing vnto his seruant, nor to all the house of my father: for thy seruant knew nothing of all this, lesse nor more.

⁹ And Dauid hauing knowledge that Saul imagined mischiefe against him, saide to Abiathar the Priest, Bring the Ephod.

⁶ Therefore Saul asked counsel of the Lord, and the Lord answered him not, neither by dreames, nor by Vrim, nor yet by Prophets.

⁷ And Dauid saide to Abiathar the Priest Ahimelechs sonne, I pray thee, bring me the Ephod. And Abiathar brought the Ephod to Dauid.

²⁵ So from that day forward hee made it a statute and a lawe in Israel, vntill this day.

² And in time past when Saul was our King, thou leddest Israel in and out: and the Lord hath sayde to thee, Thou shalt feede my people Israel, and thou shalt be a captaine ouer Israel.

⁷ And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy seruant King in steade of Dauid my father: and I am but a yong childe, and know not howe to go out and in.

⁵ And beholde, I purpose to build an house vnto ye Name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake vnto Dauid my father, saying, Thy sonne, whom I wil set vpon thy throne for thee, he shall build an house vnto my Name.

¹⁷ Then he said, I sawe all Israel scattered vpon the mountaines, as sheepe that had no shepheard. And the Lord sayde, These haue no master, let euery man returne vnto his house in peace.

And Elisha saide, I pray thee, let thy Spirit be double vpon me. ¹⁰ And he saide, Thou hast asked an hard thing: yet if thou see me when I am taken from thee, thou shalt haue it so: and if not, it shall not be.

¹⁵ And when the children of the Prophets, which were at Iericho, saw him on the other side, they sayde, The Spirite of Eliiah doeth rest on Elisha: and they came to meete him, and fell to the grounde before him,

²³ So Salomon sate on the throne of the Lord, as King in steade of Dauid his father, and prospered: and all Israel obeyed him.

²⁵ And the Lord magnified Salomon in dignitie, in the sight of all Israel, and gaue him so glorious a kingdome, as no King had before him in Israel.

¹⁰ Giue me now wisdome and knowledge, that I may go out and go in before this people: for who can iudge this thy great people?

⁸ So Hanameel, mine vncles sonne, came to mee in the court of the prison, according to the word of the Lord, and said vnto me, Bye my field, I pray thee, that is in Anathoth, which is in the countrey of Beniamin: for the right of the possession is thine, and the purchase belongeth vnto thee: bye it for thee. Then I knewe that this was the worde of the Lord.

¹¹ For thus sayeth the Lord God, Beholde, I will search my sheepe, and seeke them out. ¹² As a shepherd searcheth out his flocke, when he hath bene among his sheepe that are scattered, so wil I seeke out my sheepe and wil deliuer them out of all places, where they haue beene scattered in the cloudie and darke day, ¹³ And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countreis, and will bring them to their owne lande, and feede them vpon the mountaines of Israel, by the riuers, and in all the inhabited places of the countrey. ¹⁴ I will feede them in a good pasture, and vpon the hie mountaines of Israel shall their folde be: there shall they lie in a good folde and in fat pasture shall they feede vpon the mountaines of Israel. ¹⁵ I will feede my sheepe, and bring them to their rest, sayth the Lord God. ¹⁶ I will seeke that which was lost, and bring againe that which was driue away, and will binde vp that which was broken, and will strengthen the weake but I wil destroy the fat and the strong, and I will feede them with iudgement.

²³ And I wil set vp a shepherd ouer them, and he shall feede them, euen my seruant Dauid, he shall feede them, and he shalbe their shepherd.

²⁴ And Dauid my seruant shalbe king ouer them, and they all shall haue one shepheard: they shall also walke in my iudgements, and obserue my statutes, and doe them.

¹⁴ Now I haue heard of thee, that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and that light and vnderstanding and excellent wisdome is found in thee.

² Surely the idols haue spoken vanitie, and the southsayers haue seene a lye, and the dreamers haue tolde a vaine thing: they comfort in vaine: therefore they went away as sheepe: they were troubled, because there was no shepheard.

⁷ Arise, O sword, vpon my shepheard, and vpon the man, that is my fellow, sayth the Lord of hostes: smite the shepheard, and the sheepe shall be scattered: and I will turne mine hand vpon the litle ones.

³⁶ But when he saw the multitude, he had compassion vpon them, because they were dispersed, and scattered abroade, as sheepe hauing no shepheard.

³⁸ Wherefore pray the Lord of the haruest, that he woulde sende foorth labourers into his haruest.

⁶ But goe rather to the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.

²⁴ But he answered, and said, I am not sent, but vnto the lost sheepe of the house of Israel.

³⁴ Then Iesus went out, and sawe a great multitude, and had compassion on them, because they were like sheepe which had no shepheard: and he began to teach them many things.

¹ Then called hee his twelue disciples together, and gaue them power and authoritie ouer all deuils, and to heale diseases. ² And hee sent them foorth to preach the kingdome of God, and to cure the sicke. ³ And he sayd to them, Take nothing to your iourney, neither staues, nor scrip, neither bread, nor siluer, neither haue two coates apiece. ⁴ And whatsoeuer house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. ⁵ And howe many so euer will not receiue you, when ye goe out of that citie, shake off the very dust from your feete for a testimonie against them.

² And he said vnto them, The haruest is great, but the labourers are fewe: pray therefore the Lord of the haruest to sende foorth labourers into his haruest. ³ Goe your wayes: beholde, I send you foorth as lambes among wolues. ⁴ Beare no bagge, neither scrippe, nor shoes, and salute no man by the way. ⁵ And into whatsoeuer house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. ⁶ And if the sonne of peace be there, your peace shall rest vpon him: if not, it shall turne to you againe. ⁷ And in that house tary still, eating and drinking such things as by them shall be set before you: for the labourer is worthy of his wages. Goe not from house to house. ⁸ But into whatsoeuer citie ye shall enter, if they receiue you, eate such things as are set before you, ⁹ And heale the sicke that are there, and say vnto them, The kingdome of God is come neere vnto you. ¹⁰ But into whatsoeuer citie ye shall enter, if they will not receiue you, goe your wayes out into the streetes of the same, and say, ¹¹ Euen the very dust, which cleaueth on vs of your citie, we wipe off against you: notwithstanding knowe this, that the kingdome of God was come neere vnto you.

³⁴ For hee whome God hath sent, speaketh the woordes of God: for God giueth him not the Spirit by measure.

²¹ Then saide Iesus againe vnto them, I goe my way, and ye shall seeke me, and shall die in your sinnes, Whither I goe, can ye not come.

²⁴ I said therefore vnto you, That ye shall die in your sinnes: for except ye beleeue, that I am he, ye shall die in your sinnes.

³ To him the porter openeth, and the sheepe heare his voyce, and he calleth his owne sheepe by name, and leadeth them out. ⁴ And when hee hath sent foorth his owne sheepe, he goeth before them, and the sheepe follow him: for they know his voyce.

⁹ I am that doore: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saued, and shall go in, and go out, and finde pasture.

¹¹ I am that good shepheard: that good shepheard giueth his life for his sheepe.

³ Wherefore brethren, looke ye out among you seuen men of honest report, and full of the holy Ghost, and of wisedome, which we may appoint to this busines.

⁶ Which they set before the Apostles: and they prayed, and layed their hands on them.

¹⁵ Which whe they were come downe, prayed for them, that they might receiue the holy Ghost. ¹⁶ (For as yet, hee was fallen downe on none of them, but they were baptized onely in the Name of the Lord Iesus.) ¹⁷ Then layd they their handes on them, and they receiued the holy Ghost. ¹⁸ And when Simon sawe, that through laying on of the Apostles hands the holy Ghost was giuen, he offred them money, ¹⁹ Saying, Giue mee also this power, that on whomsoeuer I lay the handes, he may receiue the holy Ghost.

³ Then fasted they and prayed, and layde their hands on them, and let them goe.

⁶ So Paul layde his handes vpon them, and the holy Ghost came on them, and they spake the tongues, and prophecied.

²⁸ Take heede therefore vnto your selues, and to all the flocke, whereof the holy Ghost hath made you Ouerseers, to feede the Church of God, which hee hath purchased with that his owne blood.

⁴ Now there are diuersities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are diuersities of administrations, but the same Lord, ⁶ And there are diuersities of operations, but God is the same which worketh all in all. ⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is giuen to euery man, to profite withall. ⁸ For to one is giuen by the Spirit the word of wisdome: and to an other the word of knowledge, by the same Spirit: ⁹ And to another is giuen faith by the same Spirit: and to another the giftes of healing, by the same Spirit: ¹⁰ And to another the operations of great workes: and to another, prophecie: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diuersities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ And all these thinges worketh one and the selfe same Spirit, distributing to euery man seuerally as he will.

²⁸ There is neither Iewe nor Grecian: there is neither bonde nor free: there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Iesus.

¹⁷ And say to Archippus, Take heede to the ministerie, that thou hast receiued in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.

¹⁴ Despise not the gift that is in thee, which was giuen thee by prophecie with the laying on of the hands of the companie of the Eldership.

²¹ I charge thee before God and the Lord Iesus Christ, and the elect Angels, that thou obserue these thinges without preferring one to an other, and doe nothing partially. ²² Lay handes suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other mens sinnes: keepe thy selfe pure.

¹³ I charge thee in the sight of God, who quickeneth all thinges, and before Iesus Christ, which vnder Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession, ¹⁴ That thou keepe this commandement without spot, and vnrebukeable, vntill the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ, ¹⁵ Which in due time hee shall shewe, that is blessed and Prince onely, the King of Kings and Lord of Lordes, ¹⁶ Who onely hath immortalitie, and dwelleth in the light that none can attaine vnto, whom neuer man sawe, neither can see, vnto whome bee honour and power euerlasting, Amen. ¹⁷ Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high minded, and that they trust not in vncertaine riches, but in the liuing God, (which giueth vs aboundantly, all things to enioy)

¹ I charge thee therefore before God, and before the Lord Iesus Christ, which shall iudge the quicke and dead at that his appearing, and in his kingdome, ² Preach the worde: be instant, in season and out of season: improue, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. ³ For the time will come, when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but hauing their eares itching, shall after their owne lustes get them an heape of teachers, ⁴ And shall turne their eares from the trueth, and shalbe giuen vnto fables. ⁵ But watch thou in all thinges: suffer aduersitie: doe the worke of an Euangelist: cause thy ministerie to be throughly liked of. ⁶ For I am nowe readie to be offered, and the time of my departing is at hand.

⁹ Moreouer we haue had the fathers of our bodies which corrected vs, and we gaue them reuerence: should we not much rather be in subiection vnto the father of spirites, that we might liue?

²⁵ For ye were as sheepe going astray: but are nowe returned vnto the shepheard and Bishop of your soules.

² Feede the flocke of God, which dependeth vpon you, caring for it not by constraint, but willingly: not for filthy lucre, but of a ready minde: ³ Not as though ye were lords ouer Gods heritage, but that yee may bee ensamples to the flocke. ⁴ And when that chiefe shepheard shall appeare, ye shall receiue an incorruptible crowne of glory.
