¹⁰ Therfore art thou compassed aboute with snares on euery syde, and sodenly vexed with feare.

⁴ For the arowes of the almighty are round about me, whose indygnacyon hath droncke vp my sprete, and the terrible feares of God are sett agaynst me.

²¹ Withdrawe thyne hande from me, and let not the fearfull drede of the, make me afrayed.

⁸ For his fete are taken as it were in the nett, and he is at his wittes ende. ⁹ His fote shalbe holden in the snare, and it shall catch them that be thyrsty of bloude. ¹⁰ The snare is layed for him in the grounde, and a pytfall in the waye.

⁶ knowe this then, that it is God, which hath handled me so violently and hath compased me aboute with his nette.

⁶ Upon the vngodly he shall rayne snares, fyre, and brymstone, storme & tempest: thys shalbe theyr porcyon to dryncke.

²⁷ euen when the thynge that ye be afrayed of, falleth in sodenly lyke a storme, & your misery lyke a tempest: yee, when trouble & heuines commeth vpon you.

²⁵ Thou nedest not to be afrayed of any soden feare, nether for the vyolent russhynge in of the vngodly when it commeth. ²⁶ For the Lorde shall stonde by thy syde, and kepe thy fote, that thou be not taken.

³ For when they shall saye, peace and all thynges are safe, then shall soden destruccyon come vpon them (as sorowe commeth vpon a woman traualynge with chylde) & they shall not scape:
