⁵¹ And it came to pass, as he pronounced the benediction upon them, he was parted from them, and taken up into heaven.

¹⁹ Then the Lord, after having thus spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.

¹⁷ Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and tell them, I am ascending to my Father, and your Father; to my God, and your God.

⁹ And as he was speaking these things, while they were looking upon him, he was taken up; and a cloud enveloping him hid him from their eyes.

⁸ Wherefore the Scripture saith, "When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men." ⁹ Now this, that he ascended, what does it imply? but that he also first descended into the more internal parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same also, who ascended above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
