³³ Just as Moses and Elijah were leaving, Peter told Jesus, “Master, it’s good that we’re here! Let’s set up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” (Peter didn’t know what he was saying.)

⁶ Many are asking, “Who will help us to see better days?” LORD, may the light of your favor shine upon us. ⁷ You have given me more joy in my heart than at harvest times, when grain and wine abound.

⁴ I have asked one thing from the LORD; it is what I really seek: that I may remain in the LORD’s Temple all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD; and to inquire in his Temple.

² So I have looked for you in the sanctuary, to behold your power and glory. ³ Because your gracious love is better than life itself, my lips will praise you. ⁴ So I will bless you as long as I live; I will lift up my hands in your name. ⁵ Just as I am satisfied with the choicest of foods, so my lips will praise you joyfully.

As they approached the crowd, a man came up to Jesus, knelt down in front of him,

⁵ Then Peter told Jesus, “Rabbi, it’s good that we’re here! Let’s set up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” ⁶ (Peter didn’t know how to respond, because they were terrified.)

³⁸ But Jesus told them, “You don’t realize what you’re asking. Can you drink from the cup that I’m going to drink from or be baptized with the baptism with which I’m going to be baptized?”

⁵ Simon answered, “Master, we have worked hard all night and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll lower the nets.”

⁸ Philip told him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will satisfy us.”

⁶ For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus the Messiah.
