⁸ Whoever obtains wisdom loves himself, and whoever treasures understanding will prosper.

¹¹ Moreover your servant is warned by them; and there is great reward in keeping them.

¹ The Benefits of Embracing Wisdom My son, if you accept my words, and treasure my instructions— ² making your ear attentive to wisdom, and turning your heart to understanding— ³ if, indeed, you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, ⁴ if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, ⁵ then you will understand the fear of the LORD and learn to know God. ⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He stores up sound wisdom for the upright and is a shield to those who walk in integrity— ⁸ guarding the paths of the just and protecting the way of his faithful ones. ⁹ Then you will understand what is right, just, and upright—every good path.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life for those who embrace her, and whoever clutches her tightly will be joyful.

²¹ Benefits of WisdomMy son, do not let wisdom leave your sight. Carefully observe sound judgment and discernment,

⁴ he taught me and told me, “Let your heart fully embrace what I have to say; keep my commandments and live!

⁶ Do not abandon her, and she will protect you. Love her, and she will watch over you.

²¹ Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart.

³⁵ because those who find me find life and gain favor from the LORD. ³⁶ But whoever sins against me destroys himself; everyone who hates me loves death.”

²⁰ Whoever listens to a word of instruction prospers, and anyone who trusts in the LORD is blessed.

¹⁶ What is this? A fool has enough money to buy wisdom, but is senseless?

¹⁸ for it is pleasant when you treasure them within you and have them ready on your lips.

²⁶ “‘“I’m going to give you a new heart, and I’m going to give you a new spirit within all of your deepest parts. I’ll remove that rock-hard heart of yours and replace it with one that’s sensitive to me.

²⁵ The one who loves his life will destroy it, and the one who hates his life in this world will preserve it for eternal life.

²¹ The person who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I, too, will love him and reveal myself to him.”
