¹² The ear that hears and the eye that sees— the LORD surely made them both.

¹¹ Then God asked him, “Who gives a person a mouth? Who makes him unable to speak, or deaf, or able to see, or blind, or lame? Is it not I, the LORD?

⁹ The one who formed the ear can hear, can he not? The one who made the eyes can see, can he not?

¹⁸ Open my eyes so that I will observe amazing things from your instruction.

¹⁷ I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah, the most glorious Father, would give you a wise spirit, along with revelation that comes through knowing the Messiah fully. ¹⁸ Then, with the eyes of your hearts enlightened, you will know the confidence that is produced by God having called you, the rich glory that is his inheritance among the saints,
