⁹ Ointments and perfume encourage the heart; in a similar way, a friend’s advice is sweet to the soul.

³⁵ A good person brings good things out of a good treasure house, and an evil person brings evil things out of an evil treasure house.

²⁹ Let no filthy talk be heard from your mouths, but only what is good for building up people and meeting the need of the moment. This way you will administer grace to those who hear you.

⁶ Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer everyone.
