Therefore Saul took his sword, and fell upon it. ⁵ And when his armour-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he likewise fell upon his sword, and died with him.

³⁰ And he took the crown of Malcam from off his head; and the weight thereof was a talent of gold, and in it were precious stones; and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city, exceeding much.

¹² Then he brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown and the insignia; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said: 'Long live the king.'

¹⁶ The crown is fallen from our head; woe unto us! for we have sinned.

² For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye measure, it shall be measured unto you.
