⁸ in flaming fire, rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

²⁴ So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubim, and the flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way to the tree of life.

² And Pharaoh said: 'Who is the LORD, that I should hearken unto His voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, and moreover I will not let Israel go.'

¹¹ And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the heart of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.

³⁰ In thy distress, when all these things are come upon thee, in the end of days, thou wilt return to the LORD thy God, and hearken unto His voice;

⁵ I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to declare unto you the word of the LORD; for ye were afraid because of the fire, and went not up into the mount - saying:

³⁵ Vengeance is Mine, and recompense, against the time when their foot shall slip; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.

⁴¹ If I whet My glittering sword, and My hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to Mine adversaries, and will recompense them that hate Me. ⁴² I will make Mine arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh; with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired heads of the enemy.'

¹² Now the sons of Eli were base men; they knew not the LORD.

⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.' ¹⁰ Now therefore, O ye kings, be wise; be admonished, ye judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Do homage in purity, lest He be angry, and ye perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him.

¹⁰ (9:11) And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee; for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee.

⁴⁴ (18:45) As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the sons of the stranger dwindle away before me.

⁸ (21:9) Thy hand shall be equal to all thine enemies; thy right hand shall overtake those that hate thee. ⁹ (21:10) Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger; the LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined forth. ³ Our God cometh, and doth not keep silence; a fire devoureth before Him, and round about Him it stormeth mightily. ⁴ He calleth to the heavens above, and to the earth, that He may judge His people: ⁵ 'Gather My saints together unto Me; those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.' ⁶ And the heavens declare His righteousness; for God, He is judge. ⁶ Pour out Thy wrath upon the nations that know Thee not, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon Thy name.

¹ O LORD, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.

¹⁹ If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land;

¹¹ When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off; the women shall come, and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore He that made them will not have compassion upon them, and He that formed them will not be gracious unto them.

² To proclaim the year of the LORD'S good pleasure, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

⁴ For the day of vengeance that was in My heart, and My year of redemption are come. ⁵ And I looked, and there was none to help, and I beheld in astonishment, and there was none to uphold; therefore Mine own arm brought salvation unto Me, and My fury, it upheld Me. ⁶ And I trod down the peoples in Mine anger, and made them drunk with My fury, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.'

⁶ (9:5) Thy habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know Me, saith the LORD.

¹⁰ A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

⁶ Them also that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after Him.

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into eternal life.

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.

¹⁹ They said therefore unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father; if ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.

⁷ And the word of God increased, and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly, and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

⁵ through whom we received grace and apostleship, unto obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake,

²⁸ And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting,

⁷ to them that by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and incorruption, eternal life: ⁸ but unto them that are factious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be wrath and indignation,

¹⁶ Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves as servants unto obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

¹⁶ But they did not all hearken to the glad tidings. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any things save those which Christ wrought through me, for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,

³⁴ Awake to soberness righteously, and sin not, for some have no knowledge of God; I speak this to move you to shame.

⁵ casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

¹ O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified among you?

⁸ Howbeit at that time, not knowing God, ye were in bondage to them that by nature are no gods:

⁵ not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who know not God,

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which having at the first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed unto us by them that heard,

⁹ and having been made perfect, he became unto all them that obey him the author of eternal salvation,

²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

³⁰ For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

⁸ By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out unto the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.

² according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ; Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

⁶ as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children ye now are, if ye do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.

¹⁷ For the time is come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begin first at us, what shall be the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?

⁷ but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by his word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are therein shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing then that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy living and godliness, ¹² looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

¹⁰ and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

¹⁶ and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ for the great day of his wrath is come, and who is able to stand?

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

⁸ But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and sinners, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
