⁷ (22:6) If a man deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, he shall pay double.

⁴ (22:3) If the theft be found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep, he shall pay double.

³⁰ Men do not despise a thief, if he steal to satisfy his soul when he is hungry; ³¹ But if he be found, he must restore sevenfold, he must give all the substance of his house.

²⁶ As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets;

⁶ Now this he said, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the bag took away what was put therein.
